Can't get enough Stratos! I loved how the "old" Stratos handled that uphill s turn. No tire smoke or drifting. Just left, right, gone. Great video!

it's FWD, can't drift with that very easily. Better to just take a corner without any sideways action

I recommend you come to the hoznayo festival rally. Old sideways. It is located in the country of Spain, especially in Cantabria. This year there were 5 Audi quattro b, and 3 306 kit cars. There was also JM Lavattla, Paolo Diana and Marc Duez .RALLY FESTIVAL HOZNAYO 2022. Next year in May.

@@Takeshiwathe track they are driving on does not exactly allow for high gear driving, they’re mostly stuck between 1st and 3rd gear, there aren’t big open spaces to get to high gear, so i’d say they still drove them hard while on 1st-3rd

Forgive my ignorance what does a transfer case do? Is that another name for differential or somthing else?
@@brandontoler2382 it takes the power coming from the engine, and divides them into two separate driveshafts. One going to the rear wheels and one going to the front wheels for all wheel drive or four wheel drive cars.

jeez, Stratos with nowadays modern tyres is insane, Stratos always was very sharp at handling, but this grip is absolutely insane for a rally car from 70's. Is it original or replica project?
for what i know -the "Alitalia Works Car" was a brandnew rebuild of the original Car which stayed in Kenia for years and ended as a "chicken-house" in a Backyard ...so "Yes" it's kinda original and not really a replica
Sorry eWolution, i think Andy Feleh means not the ex-Munari/Drews Safari Stratos. The insane Video shows only our Copy of the winning car from San Remo 1976 (Waldegaard/Thorzelius). Based on a origin 1975 Stratos Stradale it was build 100% identical, incl. the high rev 24V-Dino engine. Unfortunately we dropped out with a broken gearbox in SS Lehwald 1.

It's an amazing event undoubtedly, but somehow Rallye Legends feels bit more visceral. Maybe it's because of the time of year, or maybe it's because San Marino is just that kind of place. Wonderful video!
