Meaning the country that was divided in 1947 was not an arab country but a league of nations mandate "country". Your understanding is factually incorrect: The lands now called Israel were originally inhabited by Jebusites, Moabites, Edomites, etc. The Phoenicians inhabited lands now in Lebanon (Tyre, Sidon, etc.). Subsequently, the Phoenicians colonized lands which became known as Carthage. The Philistines lived in a few cities on the coast: Gaza, Ashkelon, Ashdod, Gath, and Ekron. All of the Jebusites, Moabites, Edomites, Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Philistines, etc., have disappeared in the sands of time. Note, also, that the Philistines have no relation to today's Palestinians (who do not live exclusively on the coast, who do not have a seafaring history, who do not practice to idolatry, and who are semites, with no relation to the "Sea Peoples"). 4. about 1100 AD the Crusaders came and took the land from the Fatmids (Muslim Shia, non-Arabs) these were Latin Christians. but the majority was still Greek Christians and the people spoke Aramaic.
5. 1250 AD the Muslim (Kurds) took over (Saladin) then these were replaced by the non-Arab Mamluks (1290) who A. "Arabized" the people (Arabic was now spoken) and the population fell due mostly to persecution of the Christians. The majority was now Muslim, then Jews and Samaritans
6. 1517 Ottomans defeat the Mamluks and take over the land of Israel there are on 123K people. (80K Muslims, the rest Jews and Samaritans with only a few thousand Christians) The Ottomans got a failed country.
7. 1800 the Ottomans encouraged immigration to the "empty" land. These "Arabs" came from Europe (Bosnia) North African (Algerians) and central Asians (Circasians mostly). The population rose to 275K with Jews and Samaritans.
8. 1831 Egyptians invade and in 1834 the "Arab" peasant revolt almost exterminate the Jewish population. Then about 1840 the British mostly push away the Egyptians (some remain) and return the land to the Ottomans. In 1904 Arabs begin to immigrate to the land of Israel.
9. WWI Ottomans lose a war with the British. 1919 the winners of WWI invite people with a claim to make a pleading for a state. Arabs say they are a homogenous people and want a lot of land. Jews say they have a historical connection to the and of Israel and only want what they once had. 1920 the British, Japanese, Italians, French, and Americans give the Arabs Syria and Iraq, the Jews got what is today Israel and Jordan.
10. Arabs became violent (because Fisal was not made king of Syria) and the British give them 80% of the Mandate for a Jewish state. That became Jordan. More violence by Arabs made the British close the gates of "Palestine Mandate" to Jewish immigration as the Holocaust began.
11. After WWII the British hand over the issue to the UN. UN decides it will support the 1938 Peel Commission partition scheme with some adjustments. The British take this as an excuse to abandon the Mandate for Palestine. From 1904-1947 950K Arab Muslims immigrate to the land of Israel.
12. Arab leaders tell the 1.2M "Arab" and Arabs in the land of Israel to leave temporarily. 500K Arabs leave, flee, or relocates. Arab armies invade the land of Israel but lose the war. The Judean hills fall to Jordan and Gaza Strip falls to Egypt. These lands were recovered after the sex day war.

Meaning the country that was divided in 1947 was not an arab country but a league of nations mandate "country".

The punishment has been mentioned in verse 168 of QURAN. That is, Jewish populace has been cut into fragments scattered in all the parts of the world they could not integrate themselves into a solid nation. The phrase وَقَطَّعْنَاهُمْ فِي الْأَرْضِ أُمَمًا "And we divided them on the earth as separate communities". has refered to this fact. The Arabic word قَطَّعْنَا signifies breaking into pieces. While the word اُمَم is plural of Ummah, which means 'a group', 'a party'. The verse means that Allah has divided them into fragments making them scattered on the earth.
This indicates that being integrated in a whole, or having an entity as a nation is a blessing of Allah while getting disorganized into parts separated from each other is a punishment from Him. The Muslims have always enjoyed the blessing of having their own entity, and being recognized as an organized people in the world. Starting right from Madinah in the time of the Holy Prophet ﷺ up to this day they have their own independent rule in various parts of the earth. The presence of Islamic countries from the Far East to the West is an obvious proof of this fact.
Their present state in Palestine should not cause any doubt as they have to come together in a place in the last age according to the prophecies made by the Holy Prophet ﷺ . He informed us in authentic Traditions that Prophet ` Isa (JESUS) (علیہ السلام) shall come down to the earth from heavens before the end of the world, and all the Christians shall embrace Islam. He shall fight a war against the Jews and put them to death. The culprits of Allah are not summoned through police, or other agencies; they are driven to their place of death by the causes created by the will of Allah.
The Prophet ` Isa (علیہ السلام) (Jesus) is to descend from heavens in the land of Syria. He shall fight war with the Jews. The Prophet Isa (علیہ السلام) has been saved the trouble of seeking the Jews in different parts of the world by causing them to gather in Palestine. As to their present political power and sovereignty in the State of Israel, it is a delusion which beguiles only those who are not conversant with the world politics. The so called 'State of Israel' is, in fact, a common camp ground of the big powers like America, Russia, and England. It depends upon the aid of its masters for its existence. It has to serve the aims and objectives of its Masters. They are still living in real servitude, and are deprived of their free rule in true sense of the word.

The lands now called Israel were originally inhabited by Jebusites, Moabites, Edomites, etc.
The Phoenicians inhabited lands now in Lebanon (Tyre, Sidon, etc.). Subsequently, the Phoenicians colonized lands which became known as Carthage.
The Philistines lived in a few cities on the coast: Gaza, Ashkelon, Ashdod, Gath, and Ekron.
All of the Jebusites, Moabites, Edomites, Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Philistines, etc., have disappeared in the sands of time.
Note, also, that the Philistines have no relation to today's Palestinians (who do not live exclusively on the coast, who do not have a seafaring history, who do not practice to idolatry, and who are semites, with no relation to the "Sea Peoples").
Of all of the ancient peoples involved, only the Jews remain. The Jews' long history of possession of land, added to the fact that they were violently forced-out by the Romans, the Muslim conquest of the ME, etc., makes their legal claim to a portion of the Holy Land extremely strong.
Palestinians also have a claim to a portion of the Holy Land. It is not as deep, historically, as the Jews' claim. But it is based on 100 or up to 200 years of history of possession of the land.
