- Xiaomi has just launched the new Mi A3 in India and well, it brings a Super AMOLED display, in-display fingerprint, new Snapdragon 665, triple cameras, headphone jack, and more.
Well, these are our Mi A3 first impressions.
The Mi A3 has arrived in India at a price of Rs. 12,999 for the 4/64GB variant and Rs. 15,999 for the 6/128GB variant.

IPS LCD produces better quality images even at lesser PPI, AMOLED screen needs higher PPI to be at same quality levels with lesser PPI LCDs

They should make the Google Camera App inbuilt
stock camera app isn't deigned to handle 3 cameras and most importantly Ultra-wide camera.
It's Google proprietary app, and can't be shipped with any of the manufacturer

Google camera is the selling point of pixel phone. Why should they put it out of the box. I know you can install it easily as the Android One phone's camera2api is enabled. Thanks to the devs.

HOW MANY CONFUSED TO BUY SMARTPHONES.
Only for that HD+ screen and screen size
Not so much confused..but irritated with the launch of these many phones and not a single one is perfect...
I know nothing is perfect but every mobile comes with deal breakers in one way or other in 15k segment..
Hope companies offer better mobiles with minimum loss going in compromises..
In A3 mi should have given IPS Lcd FHD screen and should have gone with plastic backs..who cared gorilla glass in 15k Bcoz Glass is glass and glass can break..

I'm using mi a1 , a completely satisfied phone.
And mi a2 doesn't reach at a1 level.
Now mi a3 impress me much, yeah it's time to upgrade.
NB: I miss that telephoto lens very much.

I can live with 720p with AMOLED. It's one of the best phones under 12,000 pesos.

Not happening. Mi A series is only limited to Android One. It has no intention to spread it beyond that. One phone per year on Android one is all they want else all other consumers with different models will ask for that which in-turn dents the customer service care of the company slightly as they want MIUI at all phones no matter what

Quality of IPS 720 display of Iphone may be better than cheap Chinese phones. Thats why Iphone may be costly. But still valid point is: if display ppi is greater than 400 with refresh rate 60Hz or above, you will not notice any kind of big difference in screen.

You know what I think?
The Mi A series should be provided with competitive hardware on par with that in the redmi note series, so that it gives a competition to the redmi series.
The next Mi A4 should have:
1] Quad camera setup with a telephoto lens instead of the depth sensor.
2] AMOLED display maintained, with a punch-hole selfie camera either in the center or left-side.
3] >4500mAh battery and >27W fast-charging.
4] Side-mounted fingerprint sensor instead of in-display sensor.
5] Atleast a Helio G90T SoC, or if possible Snapdragon 720G.
Xiaomi is disappointing people and now they are loosing the market to the companies like realme who is being doing what xiaomi used to do

YOU DON'T EVEN FOLLOW Xiaomi so you don't even know that Mi A series was above the note pro series, and if you can compare the specs and if you have that much knowledge then you would have known that SD665 is very minor improvement compared to Mi A2's 660, hell it's clocked lower than the 660 and it's very shitty if you compare it with SD675 which had came atleast half year ago. Super amoled screen and UD fingerprint is the only upgrade which I can see. You won't understand this, since you are not a Mi Fan. And I was not waiting for your bye. U can do it to your family, this is not your father's platform.

This phone is revolutionary. Just leave that 1080p display and as he says, 720 on *Amoled* makes a big difference from those on the IPS. So you look at the looks - Premium, you look at the processors - Decent, Cameras - better than the best in segment, battery - big with lesser use.
It definitely is a complete package. I'd happily go for it.

Mi A series has one of the cleanest and smooth camera experience, there's a reason why Google (who's main focus is camera) supplies One program to it. Plus the updates are from Google's end, Xiaomi has nothing to do with it
