Lots of expectations from Xiaomi this time. Mi A3 must have headphone jack and 4000mah battery atleast. I don't want on display fingerprint sensor. I want SD 712 in mi a3.
They'll make it *worse than the Redmi Note 7 and 7 Pro.* That's always been Xiaomi's MO: deliberately cripple their stock Android devices to make MIUI devices look better.
I for one recieved the February patch. But there was no availability for February patch image for rooting. so, I downgraded for the love of substratum.
This Is what happens when Brands try to be oversmart! I guess Mi A2 was one of the Greatest failure of Xiaomi in the Indian Market. Mi a2 got price cut more than 3 times which is abnormal. Also the way xiaomi is trying to advertise Mi a2 even now shows that they have mi a2 stock and they want to clear it out.
Mi a1 already got the feb update. Yours probably a Chinese rom converted to global not original global version. Already updated my back up phone and my driver's phone.
Awesome video, probably the best video on mi A series!! Rupesh sir , I strongly support your opinion!!!!!👍👍👍 This video has a lot of information to deliver to the consumers!!
I am glad I chose the Redmi note 6 pro instead of A2. BTW you should have talked about the A2 lite which covers almost all the flaws you mentioned about A2.
I have a similar feeling too, as I am not getting security updates on my mi a1 from Feb 2019, and previous updates were buggy and never came on time, And Xiaomi removed that amazing headphone jack in mi a2 which was a strong selling point of mi a1, the headphone jack on mi a1 was so good than competition and even better from some higher priced phones, I love it

Sure coz mi a2 sucked at battery life and display ...I guess mi A series should be placed at a premium - give bigger battery and amoled display - differentiate from note series Price -17k to18k
Use mi A1 for about 6-7 months and was just amazing it has a flagship grade cameras at such an unbelievable price hope mi releases m A3 with much more powerful soc and unmatched features as this series is known for its cameras
Things why I bought Redmi note 6 pro rather than mi A2 and what I miss: pros for RN6Pro: MIUI, SD card slot, jack, price, battery, selfie cameras Cons of RN6Pro: SD636, rear camera(s) (secondary one is just a depth sensor) Anyways, some sort of MIUI one, combining no bloatware of stock Android and customization of MIUI would be a HUGE impact on other phones
I'm a Mi A2 user & frankly speaking I'm that much disappointed ,ya headphones jack is a problem but apart from that it's a good phone overall, No lag, good camera , stock Android 😊
I really liked the Mi A1 because it had really great specs like type c, ir blaster, really good camera and ofcourse stock android but I went with the Redmi note 5ai simply because it had a much faster processor and bigger battery although I lose out on stock android. I really wanted to like the Mi A2 but there's just so many compromises.
I am owner of a Xiaomi Mi A2 (6GB RAM - 128GB Internal Storage) and i am having since day one until now too many problems that i cant fix it. 1st is laggy when i use 1 or 2 heavy applications like a game and a messnger application. 2nd There is a lot of settings and functions that are missing. 3rd FingerPrint Sensor doesnt work right always. I'm watching this on my mi a1. A great great phone. It's been 1.5 years since I've been using this phone, not one time has it disappointed me. And above all it's cameras are still relevant!!!
I really want the Android one product to continue as i really don't like and trust Chinese UI . Yes MIUI and other UIs like it has many features but still stock is better . One suggestion they can do is make a redmi note 7 pro with stock Android and sell it for 1500/- more it will be a killer deal . We really should not support the bloated UIs and in UI ADDs
but a good thing that mia1 packs that its headphone jack with 10v amplifier and its output from headphone jack is mind blowing at this price segment....
Bro I was really excited for the mi a2 but I got disappointed cos of the headphone jack missing N all other features which were not present.... Compared to the prise I expected more.... Really looking forward for a good mi a3 to release
Yes you are right. Mi a1 is highest sell as well as ui rating. But A2 go below desired level. If a3 similar to redmi note 7 pro or nearer than so mi wants to close mi A series near future because they'll not like stock android or promote it. Go for fix MIUI only.
The same with Redmi go as well. They released that phone for 4500 but they wanted people to buy Redmi 6a by adding just another 1500 which gives better ram better storage.. better processor.. Better camera and moreover miui... so the same formula as it mentioned in above video. I thought they will price Redmi go around 3k.
Honestly the Mi A series is made for Europe. Think abt it. It gives Xiaomi brand presence. People out there don't mind headphone jack removal or no SD card slot because they're used to it. And Mi A3 will probably be a premium midranger around 20k. It might not sell a lot in India but in other countries it carries on the Xiaomi name and that's exactly what they want. Expect Mi A3 to be similar to the Mi 9se.
Yes, Xiaomi did screw up with Mi A2 after a very successful Mi A1. Biggest flaws in Mi A2 are/were - no 3.5mm jack, no expandable storage, poor battery life. I own a Mi A1 too, and am okay with it, despite Xiaomi having poor record of providing the security updates (which were supposed to be monthly, but am still on Jan'19 update. None for Feb & Mar'19, yet). You're right Rupesh, Xiaomi gets higher margins from Redmi series due to MIUI, and hence gives the Mi series a step-motherly treatment. I feel folks who own Mi A1/A2 may not opt for Mi A3, unless it has awesome specs-price ratio.
@1:22 Not really, unless the camera is everything to you and you are willing to give up battery capacity and wired controller support for a slow Type-C port, an aluminium unibody and barebone Android.
Redmi Note is a premium series for budget users and Mi A is a budget series for premium users. Mi A2 was not a disappointment it simply was trying to be a budget high end phone. 64gb was enough for me but they also had a 128gb version, and they also shipped an aux to usb c adaptor. Also if Xiaomi was worried about stock android killing their MIUI series they wouldn't have released a phone like Redmi Go. Looking forward to Mi A3. I'd buy it even if its priced around Poco range as well.
Stock Android is love.. Miui is irritating..infact i hate miui how mindless people buying phones with Miui.. Infact Oxygen Os, EMUI,Oneui even vivos funtouch os is better than Miui Copying Apple design is number one priority for Xiaomi
Agree I regret buying note 5 pro because of miui. Ut was my first device Had no experience or enough info about ui so I decided to buy it, I thought it's just little slow in performance, and some extra bloatware installed But there's a lot you have to deal with
I love the mi a1.. which has no lag till now .. I paid 15k for it but it's still worth it with 4g ram and android one .. will upgrade if 5g launches .. but will definitely buy a mi 'a'series phone
I bought this phone. It worked very well untill I updated it to Android Pie. Now it seems to be very slow. Not that much bad, but sometimes phone stucks without any reason. Sometimes when I click something, the phone gets stuck and work after few minutues. The phone had a very good camera. The clicks were awesome. Very clear and neat. But after few months in use, the camera seems to be awfull. I can't change the main camera's portrait view. The portrait view does apply in normal captures too. The surroundings get blur. Selfie camera also have some problems, such as tge flasher does not work properly. The phone was one of the bests that I have used, but after few months, it is now working with some problems
Watching this video on my Mi A2 Lite. At first, it runs really great but when updates were installed, problems and bugs came. The files on my SD Card are always refreshing, and there is a flickering issue. I was disappointed in buying this. Literally, they're killing the Mi A series. 😥
I am a MiA1 user and i must say the phone is very good than expected , especially the portrait mode ( only in good lights ) ... Performance wise i have not faced any serious issue till now thanks to android one
I'm MiA2 user, Good performance, Great camera, I'm making vlog using MiA2, Headphone jack and memory card slot is not big concern for me, But, battery is serious issue, bcoz as I'm Vlogger, I am continuously shooting. And I have to carry a power bank. I hope xiomi will do something for battery in upcoming A series phones.
I have used Mi A1 and used A2. The A2 camera is far better than A1. The removal of memory card slot is still accepted but removal of headphone jack is bad decision. In fact the headphone amplifier used in Mi A1 was best in budget category. Any idea when Mi A3 will be available in India
