I came to the same conclusion. I use the 1TB OWC cards with my Burano cameras without issue.

For the sequential writes on a VPG 200 card, can fragmentation impact that? Or is that not an issue for video given the nature of flash?

Thank you for your question. For the most accurate information regarding sequential writes and potential fragmentation impacts on a VPG 200 card, we recommend contacting the manufacturer directly. They will be able to provide you with the most precise answers and detailed technical support.

I have a pair of Angel Birds, one bricks the camera on playback of footage sometimes.
Yet according to your video, my cards should be compatible as well based on read write speeds.
I do get the Not Guaranteed Media pop up though. Could there be something else amiss?

While our video indicates compatibility based on read/write speeds, the "Not Guaranteed Media" pop-up suggests there might be other factors at play.
It’s possible that the card could have a firmware issue or a compatibility quirk with your specific camera model. We recommend checking for any firmware updates for both your camera and the memory cards. Additionally, try testing the cards in another device to see if the issue persists.
If the problem continues, please feel free to reach out to our support team for further assistance. We’re here to help resolve any issues you might be facing.

So why is OWC not simply getting the VPG 400 certification?

What is OWC's process for recovering data if something is to be corrupt? Their help page lists for a mechanical SSD failure that you get a 20% discount through DriveSavers, but nothing through the manufacturer. It's still an IF, but if/when anything happens, how much more is it going to cost users in time and $? Sony fully guarantees their media will work and provide an in-house free recovery service, albeit it comes with a higher starting price for their cards.

We apologize, but OWC is not responsible for any loss, corruption, or destruction of data on any hard drive as part of a storage solution unless otherwise specified in the product warranty section of the product information page on OWC. We have linked our TOS page regarding data loss. If you require data recovery, we strongly recommend reaching out to DriveSavers, as you have already reviewed.

@@poweredbyowc Definitely worth explaining in the video to potential customers. From what I've seen DriveSavers pricing starts at $800 minimum, which is almost 2x the price of the card itself!!! I'm going to pass as dealing with 3rd party data recovery service has never gone over well; not quick or affordable. I'll stick with the Sony cards.

    Angelbird, where are you?

S&Q on Alphas can hit ~150MB/s. Still under the limit, but getting closer :) 7:54

Which mode would that be? 4k 120 is 600mB/s and 8K 30 is 400mB/s… both of those are under 75MB/s

The manuals (A1/FX3 at least) say that S&Q can require up to 1200mbps, but looking into it, I think the manuals might be wrong.
