Hi buddy! I'm 22 and I have been experiencing exactly what you have. The people asking is it raining is so annoying! I have finally been to the doctor. Mine is caused by my hormones (PCOS) they took ages to give me stuff. I used driclor. It sucked!! Finally they have given me propantheline bromide! 4times a day. After two tablets I basically stopped sweating completely!! I I'm totally thrilled!! My gp was great in getting it quickly for me. But may be because of my medical issues and how long i have been like this. I still feel hot but no sweat!!! I can finally live my life and not worry about smelling and having sweat stains. As a nursing assistant I can't be sweating on my patients! So glad your pleased and anyone watching this needs to go ask their GP about it 😊
+charley cooper Hi there! Thank you for sharing your story! I'm glad things have worked out for you in the end as well. Congrats on getting the pills and getting your life back! And that's great that your job will be easier to do now! :) awesome stuff!
Really .. Hi im from philippines .. Can you teach me how to treat please .. Im very depressed of having excessive sweating ang where in my body .. May be i have pcos also .. You know while im watching this video .. Im sweating in my head , neck , feet and hands .. Please help me ..
Great video Calum. Especially since there is not a great deal of information on this condition. I originally suffered from bad palmar Hyperhydrosis in my late teens ( I am now 43 ). I had ETS surgery in 1999 which changed my life, but I have experienced compensatory sweating of my chest/back ever since ( similarities to how you describe ). It limits any activity I can do as I soak through almost immediately. I will see a doctor about these pills...... They sound the same as Propanolol hydrochloride which I used prior to ETS surgery ( I remember the dry mouth ). The funny thing is you also feel embarrassed about simple things such as - going to see a doctor !! And to the individual remarking about finding the root-cause, it's already been diagnosed......... It's called Hyperhydrosis 🤔
+Gary Sharp Thanks for your comment! That's really interesting to hear about the surgery, but that's a shame that it just moved to another area. The pills are definitely worth inquiring about. Even if they don't end up being right for you, it can't hurt to give them a go. Always worth a try. Good luck! :)
I was prescribed these today at my first appointment for my excessive sweating. Also you will begin to smell from sweating. As it contains bacteria that makes you smell.
I get this all day, every day basically. As you say it doesn't have any scent to it, it's just like water pouring off you constantly. It's fucking awful. I actually don't want to leave the house because of it now, it's just so awful. It has a huge impact on the depression & anxiety I already have, I have thoughts to end my life because of this. Thank you for your video
Skye ! Me also i cant cope with it. I live in a poor country known as Mauritius and where doctors have no clue what is this all about. One doctor suggested me to try botox which is too expensive for my parents to afford. I just want to die, im just a burden to my parents.
Hey there! I'm glad this video was of some help to you. I totally understand where you're coming from as it does get a lot to deal with emotionally sometimes. We just have to keep on keeping on. Both of you, I can only send you good wishes! Sorry to hear it's been especially bad for you both :\
Wow .....u have just explained the symptoms and feeling I have been getting for ten yrs plus now I'm 41 I can't control it been to see the doctor about this week and he prescribed me these tables I'm praying they.
I’ve had the most ridiculous hyperhidrosis for about 4 yrs and had no clue there was medication for it. I was just using a strong antiperspirant like u described. But I went to the OnlineMedic and emailed one to the doctors, and after a few emails back and fourth they diagnosed me and straight away I ordered Pro-banthine and I’ve been taking them a couple days and it’s life changing shit. 100% recommend.
Hey man I'm 22 and have the exact problems you had, dunno why its taken me this long to look for a treatment but this video has given me some hope and I thank you =)
Nathan Purkiss Hey there, I'm glad the video was of use! You'd be surpried how many people just have no clue about it! Good luck man, hope you can get some help!
If you have hyperhydrosis problem with your armpits try "solutio antisudorica". You should shave your armpits regularly. I used solutio every second day three weeks long then now I use "exodor" product every second day. That is how my sweating was normalized. I bought these products in Hungary and I don't know if they can be bought anywhere else. They worth a try your life will change.
I’m about to start taking these. Unfortunately because of supply chain issues caused by Brexit, I am struggling to get hold of them. I go away to Turkey in less than 2 weeks and I was hoping I could start taking them so I’m not a sweaty mess on my holiday :(
Thanks for the video mate, i have similar symptoms. I was just prescribed Pro-Pathine; I take one a day. Hopefully looking forward to sitting on the train and not sweating profusely
CalumDarroch I have looked into drugs and I dread the idea. One of the tricks I do with my face that actually does work for a while is I use a makeup primer which is like a lotion and then I put translucent powder on top of the primer and it really does hold back the sweat for a while as long as I don't do anything that elevates my heart rate at all nothing comes thru. But who wants to live this way?
Brandon Phipps that’s something I’ll do some research into. Relating to the drugs, yeah, I’ve been thinking for a while about doing another video about this as I don’t consistently use the tablets at the moment unless I have a big event or meeting to go to. I’m fairly convinced anything that stops your body producing moisture can’t be good for your insides long term, so, yeah. An update needed I think! Thanks for that tip, shall defo look into it. Only so much you can do, but yeah. Feeling soaking all the time is the worst.
CalumDarroch the primer is sort of like a barrier and a glue to help makeup stay in place and then the powder is used to keep makeup or skin dry and it also helps keep makeup in place. So I figured use it on my skin to keep my dry and it worked. Especially under my eyes and forehead. Not so much my top lip under my nose! That is my flood zone in code red! Daily washout flooding!
Nothing has worked for me except Botox injections. Unfortunately its considered cosmetic and a elective procedure so I pay $850 every 6-9 months. Yes, its very expensive but its so worth the relief of embarrassment and ruining clothing. I was always so self conscious about what I wore. I basically only wore dark colors - black and blue. Forget about wearing grey, red, lighter blues etc. I tried pills. They weren't effective for me. Plus, it dried the hell out of my mouth. Sometimes it would be difficult for me to speak and eat bc it completely eliminates the saliva in your mouth used to assist in breaking down your food. My symptoms began in my mid-to-late 20s. Even then I thought I was the only one who had this problem. I remember keeping my arms glued to my side because I didn't want anyone to see my sweaty arm pits. The most embarrassing moment and what eventually motivated me to see a doctor was when one of my students made a very loud comment that I was sweating. Anyway, glad you found something that worked for you. Thanks for sharing your story.
+R Danté I'm glad you've found a method that works for you, even if it is expensive. It's a shame, but if you're happy with the results, then it can only be a good thing! Frequently my pills dry out my mouth to the point that it's hard to talk properly. I always have to have a bottle of water on me to make sure I can swish my mouth out every now and then. The number of times I've nearly choked for not being able to swallow a part of a sandwich or something!! But again, it's something I just deal with. Its better than the alternative, for me at least. It's amazing how many people don't realize it's a real issue and just endure it for a long time. Same to you, glad you have a solution that benefits you and thanks for your comment! :)
The exact thing happened to me. I used to have excessive sweating in my armpits only. I then used certain dry and it reduced my underarm sweating and then I started sweating excessively in my groin and on my back. I'm convinced their are no cures for this only things that will help one cope with it. It sucks and it's embarrassing. I'm 33 and I have no love life because I'm so self-conscious. I do all sorts of crazy things to cope with this illness. I just wish I knew what it was like to be normal. Mine started in 7th grade around puberty and it hasn't stopped.
Try a idrostar or dermo dry machine with baking soda and try anhydrol forte for your armpits it stings at first then once or twice a week and it will help
Your not alone mate. I cant walk far before I'm soaked in sweat. Groin, feet, pits, hands soaking. My doctor never prescribed me these tablets, i will be making an appointment and asking about them. Also, its 4 years since you posted this video, so you still take the tabs, and are the side effects bad? Just be glad we live in Scotland with a cooler climate
It's definitely worth asking about the tablets at the very least! Can't hurt! So, a few things have changed since I made this video. First of all, I've lost about 3 stone. I still sweat way beyond that of a normal person, BUT having lost some weight has helped to an extent. Saying that "it's better" is true, but it's still beyond awful, so, I don't want to give a totally mixed message, but I think it was a factor for me. Second, I am still on these tablets and I have them on repeat prescription, but if I can go without using them I will. For example, I've stopped using them in winter, because even though I do still sweat then, it's not as bad as the rest of the year. Even now, I'm reluctant to take them if I'll be in the sun all day. One of the downsides is that because these tablets essentially totally dry you out, it's much easier to get burned by the sun. I've burned much much more quickly when using the tablets than without, so again, it's a case of knowing when it is and isn't worth using them. I think they are worth giving a go though. The good definitely outweighs the bad, for me!
Very informative - I've tried that Driclor stuff and it itches SO badly and it's really not that helpful when you've got to use it over a large area like your back :/
The other thing is that if you actually rely on it, you (or at least I) get through it so quickly. Glad you thought it was interesting anyway! Trying to get back into making videos and this was my début attempt at using Premier Pro 2! Shall try and be a bit more adventurous with my editing in future!
Hey man I also suffer with this and with the heat recently in the UK it's been unbearable. Had it for about 5 years or so now when it started and it seems to be getting worse and worse and right now I can't cope. Everywhere I walk, even 2 mins to the shop my back, chest, face and arms will be soaking wet. I get some weird looks and that sets off my anxiety, which makes it worse again. I can't do anything. Like you said it doesn't smell, it's just like water more than sweat isn't it?
Hey there. I'm sorry that it's something you have to deal with, but I'm glad that you at least know you aren't alone in dealing with it! The recent weather has made it pretty rough, but you just have to push on.
Do you have an update of how you’re getting on with these tablets please? I see it was posted a few years ago. I’m only just getting answers after suffering for 13 years so interested to know your journey with these before I start mine
Hi This video really helped. I've been on these pills for a few months or so and they are amazing! I used to sweat so easily especially from my head. I feel it works better when I take them on an empty stomach then eat an hour later. Don't seem to work when I eat first and take 2 hours later. Do you know if it increases by taking 2 at once? I'm going on holiday this year and I'm hoping they will help me even though I am aware I will be drinking alcohol. I've verb previously 2 years before and it was a nightmare on nights out with my sweating. Any thoughts?
+Danny Smith Hey there. So, since recording this video, I'm inclined to agree that taking pills before eating makes them significantly more effective than taking them afterwards. It's become about trying to get into a routine. I always take them with a glass of water, more to help prevent the taste than anything, and avoid food for a couple of hours. In regards to taking two at once, I haven't tried this. I suspect it would increase the strength, but not increase the duration of the length of time. Sometimes that may be too much. I know my mouth can dry out horrifically at times with just the one, so I wouldn't dare try two myself, but everyone is different, so I couldn't really say for sure. I suspect you will probably be okay with alcohol as long as there is a decent space between taking the tablets and then drinking. Just have the pills a couple of hours before to give them time to settle, and I'm sure you'll be okay. Generally, for me anyway, it's just about spacing things out. I'm glad you found the video useful, anyway. Good luck!
+CalumDarroch thank you ! Appreciate the comments ! With it being so hot I may need to increase the dose to make them more effective, maybe not ! I also get severe dry mouth and struggle to swallow because my mouth is so damn dry lol. But it's worth it x10 !
Danny Smith It's a total pain. I've gotten used to always carrying a bottle of water in my bag. Sometimes have to swish my mouth out before I can swallow food, so yeah, there are the downsides, but hey, getting to walk around without looking like I've just completed the London Marathon is totally worth it haha.
Did it ever make you go red in the face or where u sweat and make u feel warm but not sweat. It happened to me today but I’ve been taking the pills for the last 3 days and been fine. I called the doctors and they said it sounds like I’ve had a reaction to it and to stop taking the pills but it’s the only thing that’s worked for me and they’re saying they can’t give me anything else. It’s only happened today though xx
I’ve got hyperhydrosis and I have it in my feet and hands and it’s really bad like my socks smell that bad from the sweat all my shoes stink and my room just stinks of pure sweat and I can’t handshake anyone because they just say why are you hands wet and it really has effected bro
Hi, I was also prescribed with this medicine and it is working. I am initially prescribed for 45 days. So once I stop using this medicine does the sweat comes back?
Hello dude i suffer from sweaty hands and feet. Do you recommend using this medicine? Can it be used forever or is it dangerous for health? I'm Moroccan that's why I didn't understand much my english not that good😅 tnks advance 💜
Hey man. I made this video a few years ago now. I think I'll need to do an update video at some point. I've not used this medication for a while now and probably wouldn't recommend it. I don't know that it's dangerous as such, but it wasn't particularly pleasant. It would dry your hands and feet, but would also dry your mouth out too. Not particularly nice!
Well, watching how the puddles of sweat just dried up within 48 hours was so satisfying, I used what I read about the other day. Although it actually took about 72 hours for the my sweating to normalize, I went ahead and go'ogled the latest by Cynthia Yulesin and I don’t have to change clothes 2 times a day.
i related so much to this video, like people take it for granted, i feel so jealous of people that are able wear a hoodie in hot weather.

@@jangmi8676 hi im from Philippines also, kamusta kana? Nagpapawis ka pa rin ba?
You're not alone mate. I've had it since I was 13. I get it really bad under my arms, hands and feet. Keep your head up because you're not alone🙂
What do you use to stop the sweating?
iontophoresis for hands feet and underarms
You describing my symptoms so perfectly is crazy. I'll try and get these pills.
I saw a Dr for the first time about my excessive sweating today. He wrote me this medication.

Propanolol works in a completely different manner. The only similarity is the name.
Any update on this video?

There's not many RUclips videos over 2 mins long that I'll watch right through. This however I did!! Thanks for sharing your story.
Thank you, that's awesome to hear. That's an issue I'm increasingly aware that video length is an issue for people, so I really appreciate that! :)

Yes, I have it too. Horrible, embarrassing condition. Worse in summer, wearing short sleeves all the time, make-up just slides off. 😞
I’m about to start taking these. Unfortunately because of supply chain issues caused by Brexit, I am struggling to get hold of them.
I go away to Turkey in less than 2 weeks and I was hoping I could start taking them so I’m not a sweaty mess on my holiday :(

Glad you found it helpful. That's great about the Pro-Panthine, best of luck with it man!
I'm the same. I get it everywhere. I just get super sweaty just from from taking the trash out or vacuuming!
Ugh, it’s a pain! Having it everywhere is the worst!
CalumDarroch I have looked into drugs and I dread the idea. I use this hard candy priming spray from Walmart and then I use coty airspun powder and it honestly works for my face.

Oh and I get that tingling on my forehead and the back of my neck
