  • What is HRT?
HRT is an abbreviation for Hormone Replacement Therapy. It is a medical treatment that involves replacing hormones in the body that have decreased due to aging or other medical conditions. Typically, HRT is used to treat symptoms associated with menopause in women, such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness, and mood changes. HRT can also be used to treat other conditions, such as low testosterone in men, or to help transgender individuals transition to their desired gender by changing their hormone levels. The type of hormone replacement therapy and dosage used depends on the individual's medical history, current health status, and treatment goals. It's important to consult with a healthcare provider before starting any hormone replacement therapy.

Yes we have more to come on the HRT topic, including "compounded bioidentical hormone therapy" which you may be surprised to find out is a total grift!
Hormones are hormones, your body breaks everything down into the chemicals it needs and throws the rest out. Whether estrogen is obtained through chemistry of animal or vegetable matter your body doesn't care. Would anyone ask whether Tylenol was made from bioidentical products? How about cancer treatment? How about Ozempic and Wegovy - what are they made out of?
People who claim to be able to give you a personalized dosage of estrogen and progesterone made from "bioidentical" hormones are GRIFTERS and it is not based on fundamental science and evidence. Get this stuff from Rx prescriptions from real healthcare providers and certified pharmacies with drugs that have been through a proper Good Manufacturing Process, not people calling themselves "Doctor" who make money from selling you stuff. This includes Doctors like Marie Clare Haver who are shilling menopause products now instead of just informing vulnerable and desperate women about what is happening to them. This also includes the countless Wellness Doctors and Naturopaths.
We get real upset about that stuff around here as you can tell :((
Start here for some facts: www.herstasis.com/hormone-therapy/ and thanks so much for watching and asking such a great question!
