@lalunelunaris I'm 1 month post op. So far so good...my surgeon went on the conservative side so recovery hasn't been as brutal as others have experienced but I definitely have more work to do in the gym due to the amount of excess skin I had. I expected this and am happy my legs look a little more "normal". (PS: I posted 2 reel updates if you're interested in checking them out).
HI, Doc Jason, It’s Tim and Melanie - Dr Wendy’s sister. Hope you guys are well!!! Mel is looking for a good thigh lift surgeon as some don’t do them very well!! We will set up a consult soon. Love the podcast!!
First of all, thank you for doing these podcasts. There is so much great information here. A few questions - first, if deep sutures are so important, what happens if you have a deep suture push out? Is surgery required to resolve that? Second, how do you avoid infection in medial thigh lift scars when they are so close to bacteria from bodily functions? Finally, if you are still in acute recovery for 12 weeks, is it unreasonable to plan to do a sprint triathlon (750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run) about 6 months after surgery? I'm not concerned from a fitness perspective (I do them now), but I had originally planned to start my training about 8 weeks after surgery.
I have been waiting on this video. I have thigh lift surgery next week!
Yay! Congratulations and happy healing!
How did it go?
