It looks like no major creators are even still playing this game, which is sad because Avatar FoP is really special and atmospherically beautiful. Thank you for making a brief overview/review of the DLC for those of us who are curious. Yours is the only one I found. Cheers!
I honestly prefer your review on this game. Compared to RennsReview which was completely biased and harsh, yours is fair and unbiased. The fact you don’t like it but can still give a fair negative but still constructive review without some cringy skit or mockery of the franchise is commendable. I hate the fact a lot of the negative reviews are simply because of people’s unbridled hatred for Avatar and its mere existence but thankfully yours is not that. It’s negative but fair and I salute you for it. Amazing dude!

You’re welcome and I’m really humbled by your response. Normally other reviewers would go absolutely bananas over me daring to compare them to others as they talk in great lengths about how they’re always right and I’m somehow the wrong simping fanboy. But I digress, I appreciate your response and your unbiased honesty really deserves a sub from me.

Same. I knew it was going to be some dumb ass mission, not even like a 3rd of the game. This game became unbelievably boring after getting all the achievements and everything
I think the DLC is great, but I also LOVE the base game. My husband and I spent an hour passing the controller back and forth for the mini games, trying out-do each others best scores. I haven't finished the main quest yet, but the first base you explore was more like when you were exploring TAP in the 3rd act of the main game, and that was my favorite quest. I also really loved seeing all the NPCs I fell in love with from the different tribes all in the same place! It was so cool discovering Nafika's and Anufi's long-standing friendship, or seeing Ren'ella embracing the Sarentu heratige by telling the children stories by the fire.
And the lead up to seeing the camp for the first time, the devs set up these moments where you enter a new zone, and it's just framed and lit so beautifully! I'm a huge sucker for those grand views, and I got choked up a few times.

Dude go check reviews on several channels. The game looks good but has shallow very repetitive gameplay and honestly isn't rated very highly. You can check out a free demo this weekend until July 28th.
Loved the base game and I respect Ubisoft for actually letting this be sold separately instead of forcing the season pass on everyone. That said I think I'll be holding off on this. It just looks like the same game I've already put 100+ hours in without many meaningful changes. Also I would've greatly preferred a whole new biome instead of just more of The Plains which i found to be the least interesting area from the base game.
Hopefully the second story pack will be better. This just looks very underwhelming.

This dlc is actually really good, and contrary to the youtuber, I think this extension is not the same as the main story and it will give you a new approach of the game, if you liked the main story, you have to buy the dlc

I never really was a fan of racing games and going around on circuits over and over trying to beat your last time. Not really a fan of point and shoot action games either. The RPG aspect is the only part of the game I do like and you can only ever play one role, which gets boring. The fact that you pretty much have to play the main game... I think I'll just go back to Skyrim. Endless options for role paly and endless options outside of the main story line. Makes things much more interesting,
DLC Broken on xbox series x. I have it downloaded and installed but it wont let me play it. submitted a support ticket, its been almost a week and no answer

I was hoping they’d add stealth kill animations or finisher moves
it took them how many months and you only get 5 hours of gameplay and the gameplay is the same crap as before take out bases the only thing different is the story wow talk about dropping the ball. the game looks amazing graphically if they would add new mechanics and different things to do other than raid and take down strongholds it would be a pretty good game but the current gameplay loop is boring. its the same thing people done in the main story of the game.

Cod is "mostly the same" too. Gta5 dlc is "mostly the same" too. Gt7 new cars is "mostly the same". What did this guy expect? Donkey Kong to appear.
More variation in the side missions..every mission was exactly the same

I loved the base game, but hate the DLC, you have no expanded skills, you still get points, but nowhere to put them. The beginning of the DLC was so frustrating, with timed races etc.., that you can't bypass. I'll be the first to say that I'm really bad at timed events, but this was terrible. I wouldn't have minded if I could get into the fighting, but I couldn't get past the races. Plus I felt like, what's the point, you get no pay-off for doing anything. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.
Im still buying the dlc idrc about anyones opinions about it lol
that is perfect brother..if you enjoy the game..just play it and dont care what others say..its just an opinion about the game

Dose anyone know where the stash is in the great games camp? Came into the dlc not knowing my pouch was full. And can't collect anything been looking for the stash for 20 minutes. 😢

Thanks for the review, and thank you for keeping it short. I agree and it was not my cup of tea either, which is really regrettable given that it was so expensive. Additionally, the price is about 5 dollars too much. Ubisoft either have to be a lot more ambitious with their titles and fix the disturbing base game character models / reactions to command any price tag above 10 USD, imo.
