Your armor is damaged
It doesnt really matter you dont lose the bonuses the armor gives (cold/warmth resist and defense)
My armor seems to stay damaged. Lol.
@@lostcoming6580same. If I don’t fight bosses I don’t repair them. I just keep them to keep for their resist to cold or hot temperature XD

Small tip for stairs : As long as there is foundation underneath the stairs, you can build them as high as you want. You don't even need any extra walls or anything like that. I still put them there to make it look better though. Also, I find building two sets of stairs next to each other has a better chance of keeping pals (especially the bigger ones) from pathing weird or getting stuck, clipping, etc.
That last ore and coal base is the one I set up in. It's a PAIN to get going with platforms and such, but it is so amazing. It's raid proof and if you're just using it as a mining base the size makes the transporting super quick.
No problems with pals falling off the cliff like lemmings? 😂
@@F_the_G Surprisingly only one of my Vanwyrms has this issue (I'm still early into optimizing the pals in the base).
I learned from my starter base to add some platforms and walls to prevent this lol
I just have it as my mining location. I have a small platform with the pal box and their beds as well as chest then stairs leading up to it. No issues, no raids, it’s perfect
I've got it set as my primary operations location. I've got everything but a breeding ground there and it all functions flawlessly
I've been using that last location shown, the smallish one atop the mountain with mostly curvy terrain and all the coal and ore. I've managed to make the terrain work for me and i can just fit everything i need by being smart and keeping trying with it, the fact i can just about fit everything (including breed set up ane everything) here is super satisfying and i always have coal and ore, also yes it is 100% raidproof. Top location for sure
It would be great if you can submit a tour, I'd love to see the potential of this location. Do you have to do like multi-level base?
@@easyluckable I mean I thought about it but really I'm still getting all of the equipment I'll need to get before the placement of everything is final, and it looks like a mess ive just got lots of items in weird places to try and do my best not blocking anything with their hitboxes, making sure food is always closeby to job posts so trying to integrate tasks according to distance to my pals dont have a problem. I need another 12 or so large beds if i want to max things out and i might still be revising the placement of some things and how farming requirements might balance in the end, it's sort of my own little stack of jenga only i can understand haha, but im trying to make the location as functional as possible whilst i think i can squeeze everything into this base, and before I go and build a separate breeding place in the snowy mountains so things are cold enough i only need to heat some eggs with campfires and the rest can be allowed to incubate optimally, and where i might farm some quartz. But yeah im just trying to use the rules with respect to where you can place objects, how mons allocate themselves and pathfind to the best of my ability. I'm not too much of a builder and things look pretty janky aha, but so long as they work
I'm genuinely so excited for the future of this game! It's a breath of fresh air to see a new game taking the spotlight. Hopefully it lasts!
It's amazing, but I wouldn't expect updates to come very fast or frequently.
This will be a game to come back to every couple years after it gets enough new content for sure. Which is way more than you can say about most AAA products now.

The one at [194, -42], the one you said you couldn't find the comment on, is the most popular spot recommended by almost every content creator.
It has 8 Ore nodes and 6 Coal nodes in the one spot. YES, it isn't flat, but that isn't a problem.
You mentioned that the space looked small, but with the Palbox right in the middle, it perfectly covers the exact top of that mountain. Allowing you to build on the whole thing.
You also want less structures and things in the way in the middle, as that can mess with pathing. So it's fine if it isn't flat.
You just set up your main base and sleeping area to the side and make it a production area.
With the right setup (mainly Anubis), it can provide all the Ore and Coal you need. If you do it extra right, you can also have it producing most of your stuff as well.
Meaning you almost don't need another base for these things. Leaving you to be able to set up another base in a normal flat area for fun/make a breeding area.
The problem with these "Incredible/Best Base Location" videos, is that they tend to only focus on Ore (and sometimes with Coal) nodes areas and how flat it is.
Flat is good, as pals have terrible pathing.
But again, you only need one base set up right to get all your Ore and Coal needs covered (you'll literally have multiple thousands of Ingots without even having to manage said base).
So instead of another "look at this area with all these ore nodes" that you find everywhere, it'd be nice it if covered other resources.
Sulfur and Quartz are your endgame materials (not as needed as Ore and Coal, but those are covered).
You can just ignore those in bases if you want and farm them yourself when you need them, but it would give another take on Good Base Locations that isn't done much.....
Great review. I currently have my mining camp setup there. Any other recommendations with coal and ore?
@@XaliberDeathlock
The only other one with both Ore and Coal in abundance is at [270, -230], with one less coal spot than the previous location. It's also high up and cannot really be raided, but the area is much smaller. The previous mentioned spots mountain top perfectly covers the circle of the palbox (even if the terrain isn't flat), while having one more node of coal than this spot.
Though, that does give one another option.
There are dozens of spots with just 7-9 nodes of just Ore or 5-7 Coal, but those are generally not as needed when you can have both with the previous mentioned spots.
Again though, you only need ONE base with Ore and Coal setup and you'll have more than you need once the right setup and automation is done (but again, if you really want, you can do both, I guess).
Personally, I think one should have:
- A single base setup for Ore/Coal all in one.
- A single base for breeding/farming/location and the like. Preferably in a flat area.
The last base is special and can be used for a variety of things:
- You can set it up either to farm Sulfur or Quartz, your end game mining nodes.
- Sulfur though is only used for gunpowder, I believe, and thus bullets. Some people ignore that and just buy their bullets instead by say, crafting Nail's since they sell at a good ratio and nets you more than enough gold to buy your bullets.
- Quartz is used in all sorts of components as it is needed to make Computer Chips, but since it isn't used in consumables, while you want a lot, you only need so much. So you don't need a permanent base for this and can just mine it when necessary (same can be done with Sulfur).
THUS, the 3rd base is often best kept as a mobile base, by that I mean:
- Use it to temp setup a base near Sulfur or Quartz when needed, pull out your miners to mine the 7-9 nodes of said material and then dismantle the base.
- You can also use this third base to cheese any high difficulty overworld enemies/bosses/alphas. Simply by building your palbox near them (just out of their range of course so that the game allows you to). Summon all your high level pals. Then shoot the boss to lure them over to your area designated by the palbox base ring. You now have an ARMY of pals, not just the one you summon yourself, to all beatdown on the boss and distract it from attacking you. Dismantle the base as before so you can now plop it down when needed.
Most people don't build bases for those because you don't need a constant supply of them for *everything*
You barely need quartz, and sulfur is only really needed for ammo. Easy to just stockpile a bunch, but you also mostly rely on pals for combat, not guns.
I built a tower in the center of this spot with an open air depot on the bottom so pals path right through
For the coal ore base loc. I lined up foundations, one at ground level and one at the peak of the mound. Seemingly the ground level is even. I managed to build a one-foundation thick "wall straight through it, separating the coal and ore Mines. It's 👌
Man, I fell in love with the first one right away. 😂
Same! Im hesding to start the process of setting it up now haha
I have my main base on the first location you featured. So far, no raids have been able to reach me. They run around a bit way below then despawn. I have no walls at all. There are some level 21ish Relaxaurs and some 11-13ish cultists from a nearby camp who wander in occasionally, but they are no bother at all. I absolutely love this location!
Quick tip on how to build stairs over different elevations with snapping:
1. Build a foundation on the higher side
2. Go two walls high on the edge facing lower side, then go one ceiling facing out, 3 walls down
3. Go to the lower side of the 3 walls hanging down, build a staircase into the ground
4. Then connect the lower staircase with the foundation via another staricase with the 3 walls hanging down intact
5. Take out all the walls and ceilings, voila
This was recommended by a friend of mine. Theoretically it should work with any height difference (meaning multiple stairs), should also work with one wall up and two walls down but I never tried it myself. I did try the 2 up and 3 down and it worked very well
8:03 This is where I started to, both in Multiplayer with a friend and in Single Player.
Can confirm there was not a single attack ever despite many many hours of playing.
But when teleporting over to the church area with the ore (also in the said red forest as the timestamped base location, just a little bit further from away), it would someties insntantly trigger an invasion over there. The base however, again, is completely safe :D
Are you sure you have your raids on? That's literally where my first base was and I've definitely been raided there more than once. For reference, I built my Pal Box near the beach, just below teleporter, since I didn't realize the Pal Box doubles as one. lmao
😊
Just put my box down and got raided lol
That Last Base... The one with the coal and metal...
Go north and follow the cliff around the Snow area to the east... until you're on the northeast side.
There is a dungeon entrance and a nice big flat area.
I put my farm/ranch base there. I have access to the dungeon.
When raids happen they get stuck atop the cliffs and occasionally push one or 2 of themselves down. They either die or nearly die from the fall damage and are no issue to clean up for my pals.
That's where I've got my breeding farm. Super nice location. Pretty well raid proof and nice and flat for building.
Why not also add the coordinates 🤦♂️
cant find it lmk if you do@@James-lw3gi
281,87@@James-lw3giits just a flat space in front of the entrance to the dungeon nothing special about it and no resources near it

I stumbled on that first location while I was flying around last night and immediately thought, "Wow, this location is awesome!". I was considering building my next base there, although I am quite tempted by that last one you showed with the ore and coal deposits. I already have an ore base set up but I am starting to need coal too.
Once I unlocked the third base, I build it at the last one for ore and coal mining. Probably could and would build that base earlier, but moving bases is much easier once you've unlocked the third one. I have a base at the location in the introduction part of the video, that I might move to the first location too, as the area is bigger and flat without the need for stairs.
My second base is at the Autumn Hills biome that was included in Moxsy's previous base video
The last base location is perfect. You just need to build some foundation on the side of the cliff for the pal's sleeping bed and some furnace and you are good to go.
helppp, its not letting me place the palbox anywhere 💀💀
First Spot you showed with the Little Pond is my Main base. It Tool a Little Walk there but once i found it i had to start there. Its really easy to Build over to Pond in you need more Space but the Pont by Itseöf is really pretty
This is my base spot too! No raids have gotten to me yet
@@hallucid5487i never understood the problem with raids. I like them, gives me free easy loot and quick levels for my pals
Where’s it located ? Just started playing :(
@@c2a10m it literally says so in the video
@@rosemccartney1538 ahh i was talking about about the literal first base he was in (his personal one)
Hey moxsy, love all your borderlands content, glad you are making palworld content now too, big thing for the base at 10:30 (it's my main base) is to build vertically... I have a 4-level high base, pals sleep on the ground floor, next floor is production level, with things like the production line, above that are lesser used things like the pal saddle workbench, and then off to the side way out of the way I built all the token items like the water fountain and the mine cart, basically it's a sky-scraper and it works amazing
Across the bridge from chillet is pretty good too cause to raid you tgey have to cross the bridge. I just put a gate there and i never have a problem. Also get to farm chillet with no effort involved. Level 38 and i just smack him in 2 shots from katress and then catch it with the blue pal ball.
The first spot is my current base it’s awesome can fit the whole base area and it has a low raid risk the mobs get stuck
Ya that was probably my favorite of the ones I looked at today.
I like this idea of showing off potential base locations. There's a lot of great spots, I just wish that relocating wasn't such a huge investment.
The base with the coal and mineral at the top of the mountain works well. I've had a base there for a while, never had a raid warning. It is tricky to build. You need to start on the edge of your base parameter and flatten 'inward' with stairs.
9:26 its also my base spot, I love that place, actually wood-ore-coal mine base😊😊😊
Oh yeah I’ve made that my secondary base 🎉
I had my main base south of -74, -317. Over the water, basically the area south of the boss. I had a mining base far up north. But as it would happen, when I left the mining base the pals wouldn't continu working. So I thought of a new plan : Search a mining base close by home. I found the spot -74, -317. Absolutely marvelous. Since it also has one coal node.
From my main base I could see the house I build upon the mountain. And right than, when I would tp to the mining base all would be working. I used digi and Anubis (my favorite). I had no problem with the curves at all. Just some foundation for sleeping, food and my own house. I had the palbox on the ground with a beer keg next to it.
So if you had the same problem as i did. Just make the mining base closer to your main base.
Now, the main base is not a very suitable place. Since an enemy base will spawn very close by which can get annoying. But just build the two bases close by each other and you'll be fine.
In the end I will try and get all three bases close to each other so all bases keep on working :) (until they fixed this issue). Or I will go for the last suggestion and set up camp to right. Seems like a big open spot to set up some new real estate :)
-195, -701 is a great site if your not after resources but want a large base. I've set my main base there and 2 other resources bases in other places
That first base is the sickest looking spot. I don't know why i didn't think of starting there. I guess it was cause I didn't see a lot of pals around, besides the rox dumb dinos, but they do give high quality oil. Also I noticed the pals go into the water spots a lot in that spot, so I am wondering if it acts like a hot spring.
Agree for penking boss beach, never got raided here even with an fully open base
I actually have a base at that last location you showed... it's very nice for ore and coal... basically it's just a mine... and that's it... It's pretty great for that...
if you go directly west from the "Deep bamboo thicket" fast travel point, right near the beach, there is a raised cliff right off the river with a large flatland where i finally decided to set my main base up. 1 pathway that passes by the entrance so just build the gate there and a wall around to fend off raids. doesnt have anything special, its just a nice large flatland with a nice view.
Can definitely confirm the Penking beach spot. I moved my main base there about 20h into the game, 60hs now not a single raid
Edit: For ppl in comments saying you still get raided, my guess is you have to put your palbox further up the beach. My base is far up the beach enough where the edge doesn't cover the ore node shown in the video
That first one was pretty amazing.
It is. I found it and built my main base there. Raids never make it to you!
First one is my solo game base. All raids get stuck down below. Very good one.
I knew I built in a good spot it's was the first s0t you showed you don't need to put walls up as the raids spawn at the bottom but you may want to put some up to keep the laxaurus out they can destroy stone structure 100x faster than fire can spread on wood 😢
I find stairs easily to build from top down, the bottom half the the stairs can clip into terrain so you can always have a perfect staircase without gaps
I have a base in that mountaintop place with all the ore and coal. It's pretty great. So far it's mostly just for mining, but I also have my breeding farm there, because my other base doesn't have the space.
I have my mining base at the last location. Didn’t build any structures. Just a bunch of beds, berry patch, feed box and furnace so I can make all of my ingots there.
This content is very informative and I hope you continue to make this style of palworld content!
thanks for the 1st base tip needed more ores since i just started
First spot, i found it randomly and built my main base there. Raids never make it to you, you can just ignore them or attack from above. Only issue is game wont let you build into water with ramps and such
Seeing all these spots with plenty of ore makes me feel better about the possibility of crowded private servers
You got me all excited to enter a base contest and then the very first place you show off is exactly where I built by base XD
My base was the first one shown in the video. I refer to it as Jungle Base due to the trees.
Extremely good flat area but slightly too small for Palbox area coverage.
Sometimes idle workers can walk over to the pond side and somehow someway glitched outside the blue barrier and fall down.
It's currently my only problem in that Jungle Base... it has such good scenery but I had to wall everything off to prevent Pals going missing everytime I teleported there..
Even with the area fully fenced, sometimes my Faleris & Verdash can still clips through outside (caught 4k on my recording)
Can only say... Early Access Indeed.
This Jungle base also has dungeon entrance nearby, and bandit base, so that's additional source of resources
I also used the last area shown in video, usually referred to area 86 due to 8 Ore + 6 Coal Nodes.
Superb Mining base for its versatility mid game.
Veeeerrry not flat, so you will have to do lots of work putting foundations + roof to expand area to work with.
Use the wall trick to connect 2 stairs without the need of 2nd bottom foundation, to connect to the higher foundation (not clip attach tho)
As one side of the elevation is too high for 1 stair.
Placing a wall (or more) in the middle part is also highly recommended.
You can easily travel/go back to the middle by grappling that wall to access the Palbox.
Fencing the whole perimeter is also good to avoid "worker accidents"
Sometimes Pals can glitch through the rocks in 10:54 bottom right, and get stuck inside, incapacitated.
yea i’ve been using that first base as well but im tired of all the pals either getting stuck or dying even tho i have walls
@@josed210 Yeah... not only that, it seems it has something underneath the area. some foundations cant put down stair due to something underneath. particularly near the pond.
Another thing that should be warned about is that NEVER BUTCHER IN THE GROUND LEVEL OF THIS AREA.
Sometimes the contents got swallowed by this "something" underneath the ground.
Always always, butcher on the 2nd floor or somewhere else.
Love your Videos. You are a Great Content Creator. Thanks for your Videos 🙏. Watch you since Borderlands 3. Keep up. Greetings from Germany 😊🫶
Area 1 for the win ;)
Unraidable too, and theres a dungeon and syndicate spawn nextdoor
128 -395 you only get raided from one side there's plenty of stone and wood with ore just down the hill plus there's a dungeon within sight
-553 -625, anubis statue not much resource but really nice view and only one way for a raid, but there's pal skill tree so you can farm skills there
Love your gonna do base videos I’m excited for that! Great idea!
the first location is where i built my base at too!!!
I was just about to start a new game definitely using the first one omg
Bro I swear when youre streaming or recording lucky ones show up so much more. I streamed myself about a week ago, rarely see them most of the time but the second im streaming, boom I found like 3-4 of them in the first like 2 hours
My main base is on the last one and it was actually easy to build on even with the hill in the middle.
Do a video on tips to move your initial base easiest way or whatnot I need to move I can build a new base now but I would like to make my initial one Somewhere better
I chose the same one as you but am getting raided now. Though I did build a facility on the right side of the giant stone pillar that kind of wraps around it and made a 5 tier factory inside for multiple conveyor belts in front of the iron nodes. With the opposite being ranches and breeding focused. My second base is the one with ore and coal as seen in the video and it's amazing, just build a platform in the middle and a hotel on the edge for pal beds and call it a day. My 3rd base I'm just looking for large flat area for farms and ranches mainly to remove those from my main base to focus on manufacturing.
I just moved my base to the first one showed yesterday, realy nice spot
I took that anubis spot from last video it's clean as hell
i cant wait til they add better base building stuff. like adding stairs to snap onto foundations to make easier levels.c and building over water
Your first location: You don't need walls - the raids stop 150ish metres at the base of the canyon. Gates cost the same as Walls and are like 4 times as long. BUT, walls don't matter vs the aoe weapons of raiders, especially flame throwers, they just shoot straight past and through all your player built structures...soooo yeah.
That first ones the God spot I've been using it since the first day lol
In the intro part there is something on the floor of the base by the water that just looks very wrong.
hey moxsy, do you have/plan to make a video about coal/quartz/sulphur locations? Coal is starting to become a hassle lategame, and while i do find nodes they are few and far between
Still haven’t seen anyone using my base location. It has no ore but it’s got one of the best views in the game
My main base is the same location as Moxsy's. The small lake and waterfall are too nice to pass up.
A lot of these places would be good for bases, but only if the range of the Palbox could be increased. As it would suck having to mine and cut down all those trees yourself if your Pal's can't reach them.
Oooh. I'm about to build my new main base so I thi k I'll have to join in with this one. 👍
Good luck to everyone that is definitely a prize pool worth going for!! So thanks to MOX for all the tips tricks guides and the giveaways!! Cheers all have a good one!
isit just me or everyone facing the same problem on his main base (waterfall base) that ur pals will keep getting stuck and u force to summon it again if not they will die/unconscious ?
I made the same mistake building there haha. 😂 I made a nice second base and basically emptied that area and just have a chicken and cow there..
I’m building my third base and well.. eventually I’ll have to disassemble the waterfall box.
1. 1:25
2. 3:24 157,-394
3. 4:25 -242,7
4. 6:11 21,96 or 19,-87
I have a base on the beach in the red forest part near the start and literally have not got raided once, but my ore and coal mine get raided once or twice every time I don’t a session at them
Lol watched like 5 more minutes and you mentioned my exact spot by the penking boss😂
Is there a base location where you can have ore, sulfer, and coal?
There's one question I wanna know so bad and yet I don't know who to ask. If we dismantle a base , it's said that the palbox can't be restored. That means , if I have 2 bases and I dismantle one , I only have one base left and I cant build another one instead of the dismantled one ?
I’ve been playing the game but I’ve started wondering what are the worst base locations… maybe “worst” is the wrong word but hardest base locations with at the very least decent ironic hard building terrain(s)/hard building areas and are they actually defendable 🤔 this game has potential.
i love your video bro
How do I replace my wood with stone, I have to break every single thing???
Dude you really sound like Angry Joe in chilly state.
What si the point to avoid raid, if u put raid on?
I went to that beach base and got raided within seconds of placing down the palbox
7:27, this was where I moved base lil lower level, lil platforming and it worked out well now bout do sum similar in high level location somewhere
Raids dont happen Ive been waiting for a while, and if ur low level , 15 below, it level u quick and a bunch level 2 to 3 work pals going out of the base exploring any direction that’s not the beginning, so straight back will get u those alright to legend pals
Hey Moxsy any base recommendations for Coal and Quartz for the end game?
Clicked, saw there was no timestamps, leaving to find a video that does. I'm sure I'm not the only one, don't underestimate the power of the timestamp.

Jk ofc, before I get burned by others. I subbed due to content, lol.
Where to put palbox for most space on first one
Recommendation for base to coal mining spot?
Is there a penalty for just turning off raids in the options ?
Can you do a base tour of your water fall base
How do you get the sword?
If you know how to build properly at that last location, its an INSANE farming area. 6 coal nodes and 8 or 9 ore nodes. My pals never get stuck on anything there. I have 13 anubis there with 2 reptyo (i think thats their name, 3 kindling 3 mining)
I just bring berries there from my other base. My pals have NEVER gotten sick or depressed there. Its an INSANE mining base location. I would never actually build my main base there.
My spot was the first one xD
I wonder how this game would be if the map was randomly generated
I made a base outta wood once, learned my mistake
I'm struggling to find that spot at 3:45 because I don't have a flying animal yet :/
can u make a playthrough vid or series on this game
If they made it easier to move the main base I would, as it is now .... not easy at all.
Also the link for the competition doesn't work
Second location gets raided A LOT
Hey man! Was wondering if you and your friends play on a co-op, dedicated, or official server? Because I started on co-op with my friends and am kind of afraid that we won't be able to play outside of our world when PVP and all the future multiplayer updates roll around (since all our progress is on co-op).
Co-op private server. We found a way to move our saves from server to server tho. Could make a tutorial if you’d like.
