I hiked El Volcan when I was 12 years old, back in 1982. The civil war was the reason we left the country in 1984. Because of the situation I never had the opportunity of getting to know the country, my way of thinking was that there was nothing worthwhile there to visit and it was too dangerous. Last year, a little hesitant and due to some personal reasons I had to go, I took my wife, who is Mexican and my son. Man, were we blown away!!! We fell in love from the time with step out of the plane, in two weeks I visited a lot more places than I did when I lived there. We are going again this year and hopefully next. Thank you for your videos, I love seeing your excitement because that is exactly how I felt when I was there.
I’m a 2011 kid and I only stayed their until I was 4 because we had to leave because of financial problems and I miss waking up going to the living room to say good morning and see pupusas or some other tasty dish it was really green and tropical
I'm going next week with my son, rented a cottage in El Zonte, thank you so much for all your vidéos from that wonderful country, I'm sure it is going to be growing within the next 10 years also...

Coatepeque in “Nahuatl” it translates to Spanish to Cerro de las culebras in English FROM Spanish it translates to hill of the snakes….if you wanna be politically correct, and if you were paying attention the lake itself is in the crater of a VOLCÁN, I can run laps around salva on El Salvador info😱😱🤣🤣

Thanks so much! Yes I do speak Spanish, I have another channel in Spanish called "Ni Tan Gringo" As far as all of the crime is concerned, you won't have any issues. Police won't stop you at all either.... they can tell who a gang member is from a mile away! I seen so many tourists with even face tattoos
