I have worked with El Salvadorian people here in America since 1986, and with exception of a few bad apples, the vast majority of them very very good honest hardworking proud people. I love them.

Reason is that by law you can't sell alcohol between 2am and 6am, to allow people to sober a little bit before heading home, you can absolutely purchase bottles upon bottles of your favorite drink at 1:59am and continue that way for many days, which is know locally as "agarrar zumba" haha
Yes! although touristic places like El Tunco has been safe since forever, violence has always been mostly confined to certain non-touristic areas of San Salvador, this is what it's changing since the recent "war with gangs" stuff, those problematic places are in the process of being "cleaned"

No es una playa para nadar o bañar, esa playa y algunas otras mas son exclusivas para surfing, hay muchas otras playas libres de piedras.
