Dave, certainly some of the most beautiful countryside I have ever seen. Great video. Best to Merv😂. Tim
Thanks Tim, Snowdonia really is an incredible place. I never tire of exploring the place. Cheers for watching and leaving a comment 👍🏻😀
Hi Dave, I've just watched all the Llyn peninsula videos, a lovely part of the world. We have just got back from there. Took a nice photo where you stopped, overlooking Hells Mouth. I tend to watch your videos on the TV so cannot comment or like. I love the Scram, perfect for these roads. You are certainly putting the miles in, I think I've only done about 2k on my bike this year! Anyway Cheers for the content 👍
@@simonhall5086 thanks Simon that’s really kind of you to Leave a comment. It really is beautiful up there and it’s great to hear you’re enjoying the videos. I can’t believed just how suited the Scram is to those types of road, a match made in heaven. Cheers 👍🏻😀
15:55 Pronounced "Reed-thee"! Weird language, is Welsh...I'm born & bred in Llanelli (South Wales) and still don't get it at the age of 57! Great video, by the way...no silly music to spoil it, just the sights & sounds, as they appear if the viewer is riding. I was actually on these roads the day after you, on Sunday 19th May. Did the Llanberis Pass for the first time...absolutely stunning! Love Merv, too! 😁😁👍
Thank you, really appreciate the clarification of the pronunciation. I’m a tad embarrassed, as my dad is from Wales and Welsh was his first language, unfortunately I didn’t get to spend very much time with him ☹️ Yeah, where I add music I do try to make sure it complements and doesn’t distract from the experience. I spend far to much time trying to find complimentary music at times 😀
It really is a beautiful place, something truly magical about it at times, there will be another couple of videos from this days ride coming over the next few weeks. Thanks a million for taking the time to watch the video and leave a comment it really is appreciated 👍🏻
Great video! ❤
Thanks Chris, great to hear you enjoyed 👍🏻
Morning Dave. Great to see you out on a rare sunny day in Snowdonia. It is The Welsh Highland Railway there, which travels through stunning scenery to Caernarfon. The Snowdon Mountain railway leaves Llanberis, rising to the summit of Snowdon. Thoroughly enjoyed this part one, and it just goes to show, if you go off track, such splendour can be found. We know the area quite well, as we worked in and around Beddgelert for two years, for the National Trust. Looking forward to part two 👍
Hiya Ian, apologies for delayed response. As I was talking about those railway tracks I was thinking to myself; if anyone knows what those lines are it will be Ian Hughes so thank you for stepping in and clarifying. It really so incredibly beautiful up there isn’t it, I love the less well trodden paths, the anticipation of what I’m about to discover just around the next corner and boy does this place deliver that in spades! I’m drawn to the old farm buildings, some of my ancestors being farm labourers would have lived in houses just like those (similarly yours perhaps)? Anyway, thanks as always for your support and encouragement! Have a great weekend! 👍🏻😀
@@MerciaMotothere are definitely wonders to be found by going “off piste”. Keep up the good work. Btw, you have me tempted with a Hoverair X1 now. Been watching all the reviews on them 😳🙄😂
@@ianhughesroyalenfield absolutely. The HoverAir really comes into its own as a way of capturing ourselves in the odd shot and is so simple to use. It can also be manually controlled from your phone to do short scenic shots, something I need to practice with. Also weighs nothing and fits in a pocket. I take it everywhere and find myself using it more and more. 😀👍🏻
@@MerciaMotoone rather disappointing thing I discovered, is that you can’t do an aerial circle (whatever it’s called), where the ground is more than 15m (I think) as you will lose it. I was thinking like standing on a precipice looking out, it would be ok behind and to the side, but if it went in front, it would drop into the abyss 😢😂. Other than that, I can see a use for what we/I do. I wouldn’t want to use it manually, as normal drones really don’t appeal, but maybe it’s the price of decent ones which has made never look at them with any interest. These Hoverair’s are expensive enough 🫣 Cheers
@@ianhughesroyalenfield yes the limitation is on the edge of a precipice, the insta 360 x3 attached to the 3m carbon fibre selfie stick works in that scenario. I’m a proper gadget fanatic and it’s costing me a blooming fortune! 😂😂 I hardly ever use my DJI drone now, to many limitations on where to fly and time consuming to set up. I suspect their may be a HoverAir upgrade in the offing and it will be interesting to see what new features they incorporate 🤔
Very jealous not done my Wales trip yet this year! Although after the ABR thinking I need some panniers.
I’ve got a massive backlog of Wales videos waiting for editing and if the weather holds I’ll be having another ride out over there this coming weekend. Some panniers would definitely be a smart upgrade 😀👍🏻
Good morning Dave and Merv. Ah that beeline wanted to show you an unplanned bit of the countryside there and very nice it was too. What a glorious day to be out riding in that landscape. Getting up high was a great idea with those absolutely spectacular views - beautiful as you rightly said.
Ah I think you may be doing another night shift or else you're in Norfolk. Either way I hope all's well.
Many thanks.
Hello Peter, apologies again for delays responding, there just seems to be so much going on at the moment at my end. Glad you enjoyed the video, couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day for riding this area, the sky’s were pretty clear and the clouds sat at the peaks of the hills and mountains really made the whole landscape so picturesque! 👌🏻 we set off for Norfolk at 7am on Tuesday morning and Paul has planned us a ride over there that avoids the A47 and A14 as much as possible, but before that we’re off to Wales later this afternoon and I return alone on Sunday. Thanks as always for watching the videos and leaving encouraging comments, it really helps with maintaining the motivation 😀👍🏻
@@MerciaMoto Yes I know what you mean about trying to catch up! Mike arrives here tomorrow for 4 nights so a bit of a spruce up was necessary. That's making his bedroom habitable after using it to build Phil's Clyde Puffer 😂.
As for RUclips - my numbers are gradually increasing though I did get a request from one, asking if I could reduce my talking by 10to20 %. 😂😂. He won't enjoy next Thursday's as it's all talk! But there you go can't please everyone 🤗.
We'll chat later once you've arrived in Norfolk. Good wishes from me
@@Lanes-Explorer5733 hello Peter, I’ve been watching your subs slowly growing. It always makes me smile how some folks feel the need to critique a video. I think a retort I may use might be be to apologise for the product not being to their liking and offering a full refund! 😂😂
@@MerciaMoto Perfect 😂😂

Hiya Dave, apologies for delayed response just arrived home from Norfolk tour. Glad to hear you’ve got the car sorted and you’re refining your sound, adding a dead cat your microphone will get your wind noise balance sorted! Thanks for leaving a comment mate! 🤔👍🏻
Well Dave despite your initial thoughts comparing Wales to Scotland I think you proved they are on parr, that certainly was a very stunning road you stumbled upon. My son bought me the Triumph Beeline for my birthday, unaware that V2 is now out. Still it wasn't any more expensive than the OEM one and looks smart with the Triumph logo. As for how smart it is in use, I'm still assessing, it also led me in circles.
At one point I saw a sign saying Welcome to Clachmannanshire, I thought I'd planned a fairly local route, possibly venturing into Fife. I stopped to use Google maps to find I was only four miles from my intended destination and like you the route it took me was great. I met up with Noobiker and showed him around some local gems, we had a great day. When are you heading up ?
Evening Mick, hope you're well? I love Wales and Scotland but have to conclude that whilst both beautiful Scotland wins on quantity, which is of course expected due to their respective land masses. Great to hear you're now a Beeline owner. They really are great devices despite the occasional but frustrating glitches. I have just bitten the bullet and bought the Moto II and having the small map and audible and visual notification of a manoeuvre coming up; 210 yards and 40 yards which has really enhanced the functionality. I used it on last weeks Norfolk Tour and it was flawless
I did see a notification come up regarding your ride out with Noobiker so I will be checking it out shortly. I'm back in Scotland on 16th August for an overnight in Stranraer on our way over to Ireland for the Wild Atlantic Way tour. Hopefully I will be back up there next year for a short tour, I'm keen to explore more of the Cairngorms and the east
Thanks for watching and leaving a comment. Cheers Dave
Morning Dave, looking forward to the video this afternoon, just going out now on Gupta the scram for a spin over the Cotswolds......👍
@@Grumpysprout morning Graham, have a great ride, lovely day for it 👍🏻😀
