That is a pinch harmonic, the 19 represents the pitch of the note when doing a pinch harmonic on the 7th fret. Look up a video on how to do pinch harmonics but basically you have to pick the string and then quickly use your thumb to slightly touch the string to give it that high pitched sound. You need to have a lot of distortion to have them ring out properly. It takes a lot of time to get down. I didn’t get comfortable doing them for over a year of playing.

Could someone explain how during the solo, a note plays continuesly while on my end from my Boss Katana 100, I play a note and it fades fairly quickly. My action is about 2-3mm low if that's the issue
John would be using stacked distortion. If you use a distortion pedal and then have something like a DS2 after it then you'll get shedloads of sustain.

@@grahambrown4472 I think you got a point. Josh can also play more instruments and isn't so laser focused on perfection. He has a more human friendlier touch. John has a dark past with drugs and almost died and thankfully he lived, but it's made him quite distant and hard to relate to. Hence why his guitar playing is so out of this world and impossible to fully copy. Both are amazing artists though. And that's that. I hate when folks compare the two as if one is better than the other when the reality is they both have their ups and downs and stuff is wayyy more complicated than a simple "who's better" test could ever determine.

Hi! Yes, it's a mistake in the tab. I play 10 on the B string, which is the same as 14 on the G string

I don't use real pedals. Only Guitar rig 5 through an audio interface

I’m gonna guess you either don’t have enough distortion being used or the guitar you’re using doesn’t have very good sustain
