    Not that he was by any means bad before; but you can see how much Mike's technique has improved since getting sober. It's great to see.

      Glad, that he got sober once he needed to, however to claim he only brought 80-90% on stage beforehand is ridiculous redconning. What improvements? Never seen this guy grab a wrong note.
      RB was (and is) an incredible live act!

      @@robertpiwonski1215 oh I agree. I saw them at the Lolla after show a few years ago and it was one of the best shows I've seen. His vocals just seem a bit more polished, and his bass technique seems tighter.

      I dont know how tfu.ck he can sing, play bass and stomp all that pedals, does he use some "controller" to turn on/off simoultaneosly the effects? I just realized its sooo damn hard to go to chorus and stomp bass clean channel and whammy V for fifths all in one second

    • @garmen-
      @garmen- 2 года назад

      @@francosicardo I think he has different pedals wired to certain presets on a multi-effects board so that he can alter between different pedals at different times, plus another analogue pedal next to the multi-fx board and other pedals backstage to get the original one which he then layers other pedals on top of.

    • @DiscreetHobo
      @DiscreetHobo Год назад +3

      @@garmen- due to a Q&A with Royal Blood at my Uni. That's not actually how it works. It's all analogue pedals on his board. There's no multi fx pedals. He just routes his signal into 3 separate amps and turns on each amp with a rerouter pedal when he needs it. His massive Fender 8x10 for bass, and 2 Fender reverb 500 guitar amps for high frequencies
      Most of his pedals are in these amp lines. Turning off one amp turns off the line of pedals associated with it. There's occasionally an exception I'm pretty sure. Like with Ten Tonne skeletons using a Digitech Whammy. But I could be wrong on that front

    I don’t think people understand how incredibly difficult it is to play the riff to “How Did We Get So Dark?” and deliver impress vocals at the same time. Mike Kerr is my idol.

      I don't think Ben gets enough credit for what a supportive friend and colleague he's been. He accepted Mike's new lifestyle without batting an eyelid. Royal Blood is basically Mike's autobiography which Ben helps bring to life. As long as they keep that balance they should be fine.

      No- its 16th note triplets. The sticking is Rlr Lrl (Right-ta-ta And-ta-ta) Accentuate the Capital R and Capital L.
      Also as an alternative resource to learning have a look at Rob "beatdown" Brown's youtube channel. Great drills for rudiments on a practice pad and everything is notated as well so you get practical and theory lessons.

    When was this recorded? I've seen in the title that it was this year and m, even though I guess it was without audience, or at enough distance, I was wondering when, according to how were things with the virus there, in the UK.
