I separated from my first marriage a little while after I had my twins, instead of me staying for the kids I decided that 2 good homes were going to be so much better than one toxic house for my kids. I admire how hard you have worked to lose weight and get healthy. If anyone has discredited your journey because of your surgery, then they are either haters or are under the impression that surgery is some sort of magic bullet for weight loss. As I stated before, I had a cousin who had a similar surgery and she ended up gaining all the weight she lost back and then some. Surgery is NOT cheating or an easy fix. You STILL have to put in the work!

Love you Faye, especially for rejecting the use of the diabetes medicine, as it's being toted by many for help with weight loss. Too many diabetic individuals depend on that medicine and it's not available particularly in minority and low income communities. Too many pharmacy businesses are running low or completely out of it.
Besides that, personally, I appreciate your natural weight loss journey, and yes, I know you had weight loss surgery,. However leading up to the surgery, you showed us ways to improve with healthy eating and it's continued. Stop paying attention to those naysayers and negative comments. Look at how God is blessing you on His journey He has planned for you. You wouldn't have all these doors opening if God didn't want it.

You betta WERK, SIS!!!!! Yaaassss hunty! You did and are continuing to do that. I wanted to tell you while you're working out and things get tough, focus on your breathing. It don't make it easier but it gives you something else to focus on besides the pain, and it gives your muscles the necessary oxygen to keep going. After your workout, eat an orange (if you can) to help alleviate soreness. I'm no professional ANYTHING, but I did teach/lead aerobic and multiple dance classes when the teacher had knee replacement surgery.

I actually use Ozempic because I have type 2 diabetes. I suffer with nausea and quite often upset stomach 2 to 3 days a week, which causes loss of appetite, therefore weight loss. I don’t knock anyone that wants to use it for weight loss, just be aware there are some unpleasant side effects.

I had that with wegovney (sp) which is a form of ozempic.. I got off of it. My hubby is on ozempic and have no problems and loss over 60 lbs and lots of inches. Looks great! Down side...u will have to stay on it or the weight will come back! Upside was on 5 blood pressure meds down to 1.
I’m stopping it because it took my libido. I’ve been Type II diabetic for 11 years and this was the first time I tried something besides Metformin. The headaches, early period & now lost libido is why I’m done with it! And the weight loss isn’t all that, I’ll stick to it ole faithful 🤪

I agree with @TO-456 I also have Type 2 diabetes and I too have to deal with the nausea and the upset stomach. Which promotes weight loss. I don’t want to eat anything after I take it for a couple of days (loss of appetite).

I have been prescribed Ozempic for Type 2 Diabetes and the Medication works for both Diabetes, and Weight (by default). 2:05
One of my girlfriend's put me onto L'Occitane a long time ago! So many good products. All the cream products in the aluminum packaging like your hand cream are the truth! Not sure if they still sell it, but the have a little tool that you slide onto the bottom of the tube to squeeze out the cream evenly and avoids the lumps and bumps.

I haven't finished watching yet, but I see several people commenting about Ozempic being for people with diabetes and suggesting that people who use it for weight loss are misusing it. From what I understand from physicians who have talked about it, there is a version of the same medication in Ozempic that is specifically approved for weight loss (although there are some, typically rich, people who can get their doctor to prescribe Ozempic even if they aren't diabetic). In other words, most people are not taking the version of Ozempic that diabetic people need if they are prescribed the same active medication just for weight loss.

@fayeintheciry- Do you find that the Ozempic interferes with your VSG vitamins and did you consult with your Bariatric team prior to taking it? And has it helped ? I’m curious because I was looking at taking it or GOLO. I’ll be a year out from surgery in September.

You may not care but I use that same machine for body scan, tell your trainer to do the scan before your workout and first thing in the morning for better results. Doing it after workouts are not as accurate bc your body is basically doing the most even at rest bc you just trained.

I got denied for Ozempic because my A1C is considered normal. I would love to know your experience if you do decide to. I enjoyed your surgery vlogs.
VIP weight loss in Jackson, TN has it but they don't take insurance you have to pay out of pocket for it. I traveled from Nebraska to go there to get my wegovy shots and I also purchase my B12 shots as well. They will give you an wavier to sign to make sure you are aware that you have to administer the shots yourself. They will have to blood work and etc other than that they are great I drive down once a month to get my wegovy and B12 shots.. It's a 12 hour drive down but it gives me a chance to visit my family once a month😅
I just started it about a month ago - I’ve lost 7 lbs so far but was on a weight loss journey since April after being diagnosed diabetic. Down from 185 to 153 😊 side effects I’ve experienced: constipation some days, diarrhea others and headaches and occasional stomach cramps and bloating. You may have some, all, or no side effects but overall it’s been ok.
@@atate8571 I've only had headaches so far nothing too serious but I will go to a higher dosage next week so I'm not sure how my body will react.. Fingers crossed it's not too bad.. But 7lbs down is great!! Keep going🙂

Faye you fine as frog hair getting to your goal without that shot. I know some diabetics that are having a hard time getting that shot to help with their diabetes because people are using it for other things.

You have to do the work, which includes a healthy dietary lifestyle and exercise and only then can you maintain the weight you lose with the shots. The medication is for Diabetes, not weight loss. Weight loss is simply a byproduct of controlling an illness, so that when you’re weaned off of it, you can maintain what you’ve accomplished. There are just people using the medication for all the wrong reasons. 30:21

So glad you did not take that drug. I am diabetic and I would never take it. The side effects are not good at all. You might lose weight on it but the lasting side effects would have you dealing with a whole other set of issues. That's the part they do not tell you.
