I always chose an insurance plan that had no deductible cause "NO!!". The insurance companies play too much.
Hey Faye, pregnancy is one of the life events that insurance companies typically allow you to modify your insurance plan for (e.g., you can adjust your plan outside of open enrollment when a life event occurs). That way you can pick a better plan.
Unfortunately my insurance will not allow me to modify for pregnancy only after childbirth will they allow me to modify my insurance however this is around the time insurance changes so hopefully the baby will be here after the insurance changes for the new year
Faye, pay attention to the times the baby is up and moving around, trust and believe that will be the babies schedule when it arrives!! 😁

Girl…since I was 25, my motto has been Travel Light, Travel Far. I have had so many professional and personal opportunities present themselves to me because I was brave enough to venture out on my own. I take myself to break, lunch, dinner, the movies, the museum, networking events, vacations…anything I want to do. It’s nice to have a buddy to kiki with (and I definitely do plenty of thing with friends and family), but those folks not being available won’t stop me from living my best life. Hey Auntie Faye!!!! I work in insurance and with it getting towards the end of the year, we are coming up on Open Enrollment, where you can make the necessary changes to your insurance for January 1 without the need of a qualifying life event. Please contact your insurance to find out when your open enrollment window is. That way you can pick a plan that has a lower deductible, since your deductible will start over at the top of the year, and possibly has better maternity coverage…..especially for delivery.

Hey Faye! Call your insurance and tell them you are pregnant. This is called a qualifying event for a SEP or special enrollment period and you can usually change your insurance to meet your new needs without all those deductibles. Hope this helps!

I had a hard time letting go of the pink drink... now I only drink it about every 4 weeks and I'm in my 34th week of pregnancy... just talk to your doctor about your caffeine daily limits and also consider other things you drink like iced teas or consuming chocolate.

Hey Faye! I know the amount of “advice” given to you during pregnancy can be a little annoying lol BUT I just have to give you 2 tips. For baby registries I highly recommend a site that merges different stores/ sites for you so you don’t have to make individual registry’s for each store. I personally used babylist and it really took the stress out of it. The second thing passed along from an overseas friend, is perineal and vaginal massages starting around 34 weeks will drastically reduce tearing ♥️ best of luck and good health for you both
The perineal massage works like a charm. Three vaginal births and no tearing. Also, my delivery nurses would do this while pushing.

I haven’t tried Pattern yet because the reviews vs Price at the beginning weren’t worth it. I have heard the new deep conditioner is really good, maybe I’ll try it soon. Melanin I just like the conditioner as a leave-in, with CurlSmith conditioning oil and cream.

Hi, you can also get on Medicaid with your health insurance. Medicaid will pay what your Heath insurance doesn’t pay. Each state is different but go and look into it and yes you can have a job making more than 30-40k in certain states and they will still cover you.

My daughter moved a lot in the early weeks as well. We called her stubborn lol! When they are little they have more room to do a bunch of moving. They always found my girl's heartbeat at the bottom of my belly(right at my hairline). And I was considered high risk as well because my blood pressure was high my first visit, so I had special high risk ultrasound once a month.

Faye, most insurance companies allows you to change your plan during life change (marriage, birth or adoption of child, etc.) and open enrollment. Your open enrollment might be in November. Check with your insurance company because you can change your plan so you don't have such a high deductible - just make sure they don't have those hidden pre-existing crap.
