Buddy was the greatest. So funny "when I flush my toilet in Knoxville it goes down to Puerto Rico" 😂 brilliant.

Buddy Landel was just a good guy. Taken from us just way too young. A genuine good guy. R.I.P. BUDDY LANDEL ❤️

I live in the Philippines now but I am from Knoxville TN... Buddy was my long time friend... He was a great person and his own worst enemy... I love you Buddy and miss you

He was an awesome guy. I worked with him a few times and he was always nice to me. He always had something nice to say to me. He never once acted like he was better than anyone. Shame what happened with the wreck. Really strange too.

Just seemed like such an amazing dude. The whole conversation felt like he was just being himself the whole time and he must have been a blast to talk to. Wish he was still around.

I remember Buddy from his early days in the Mid South and he was gone but when he came back he was blonde, cocky and a totally different performer, he had it all. The charisma, the fluidity, the promo gold and one tough sob. R.I.P. Budro, you sure as hell entertained us in Bill Watts promotion. Especially his run with Hacksaw Butch Reed

I got to see him in the WWC territory in Puerto Rico back in the late 79s to early 80s he tag teaned with King Tonga ( Haku, Meng) he feuded with El Gran Appollo i got to see live theyre last match who ever lost had to leave Puerto Rico, he had one of the most impresive physiques back then he could had been a pro bodybuilder back then, then when i moved to L.A. IN 1987 i saw him wrestling in world class wrestling and N.W.A. feuding with Rick Flair for the name Nature Boy, he didn't look the same physique wise , the psycology was still there he was still great on the mic but his ring performance was not the same.
    NATURE BOY BUDDY LANDEL.

Agreed. Sometimes when it's audio only, you get more substance and less distractions. I also love when an interviewer like this actually remembers the times he his asking about. So many other channels have younger hosts who don't get the context of the times these guys wrestled in.

He should’ve formed a stable with Flair and Valentine. They’re all Buddy Rodgers clones. Not saying that in a bad way, same as Hogan Ventura and Steiner were Billy Graham clones

A tremendous performer. His mic skills were top notch. Just had his demons he couldn’t overcome. Was to win the NWA over Ric Flair and he no showed the show. Just a top line worker RIP

Bill Watts was fixing WCW but the corporate world was not a good fit in wrestling 🤼‍♀️ . I think had they not gotten in his way and just allowed him to win the fans over WCW might still be around .
