George was phenomenal before but he has got tens of thousands of hours of practice since the 80s and is really even more of a virtuoso than ever! He makes the complex look effortless. And unlike these RUclips stars who have chops but can’t create metal songs that are cool & listenable, his playing is mesmerizing
I would have loved to have George come out and play with them on a few songs when I seen them on 7-29-23 in bay city mi but I really didn't expect him to be there
Saw Dokken twice with Reb Beach, Jeff Pilson and Wild Mick, back in 1999 and 2000. They were pretty on fire back then. If you've never seen Dokken Live From The Sun, I highly suggest it.
I saw them on that tour with reb they were amazing, and I seen them 7/29/23 Don dokken may not be the singer he once was but I still enjoyed the show he is still doing what he loves to do and he has a great band ,Jon Levin is amazing with Chris on bass and Bj on 🥁 drums
George is pushing 70 and missed a fuckin step, my God. Don however.... I know he had cancer and a botched surgery fucked him up, but damn dude its been time to throw in the towel. At the very least its cool to see those 2 have burried the hatchet and have been jamming again.
Yes. Don is 70 years old. It's hard to scream for 40 years, period, much less living a life of decadence and be expected to sound the same. For guitar players like George, it's easy to keep things as they were 40 years ago where many would like them to be for their utopian expectations (as if people weren't allowed to age), because it's the instrument making the sound. But for vocalists, their voice IS the instrument and vocal cords wear out much sooner than electric guitars do. In 2012, Don had overcome stomach cancer, radiation treatments and vocal-cord surgery, and had lasting physical health limitations. Then he had to have neck and spinal surgery in early November 2019. There were some complications; Don's right arm and hand were partially paralyzed as well as overall weakness in his body. It's a wonder that he can perform at all. Few vocalists can hold up this long with this style and demand from vocals. I appreciate him for what he has left
So for everyone who talked shit about how George did TRT and was a gym rat just look at the way he looks and functions compared to Don the (healthy) guy! Something to think about, hit the weight pile and eat meat fellas! (And of course be nice to woman!)

I’ve seen Dokken live few times since the 80’s. Always great live. Man Don sounds horrible. Brutal. I don’t know if he’s sick or high or what, but that was horrendous. About any amateur could do better.

At least we still have George Lynch 💯🤟🔥
George is AWESOME...
George Lynch. There is NO substitute.
George!!!!!!! George!!!!!! You're a BEAST!!!!!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Don is like watching paint dry
Don was once great but it's tough to watch now !!!
Poor Don man he had the goods back in the day! I guess we have the albums to go back to.
Just let George and the band play...they would have some cool new tunes in short order...
George $lays on that axe …yes !!!
George Lynch is a fucking ledgend
George is “Vibing”!,..like F*ck!

Did the Scorpions and Whitesnake your with them?
His tone is terribly distorted and muddy. Jon levins sound is way better. That’s hard to say. Damn.

YIKES...
Holy shit !!!This audio is killer!!! Is this a phone?
George is still incredible. Unfortunately Don looks like he’s having a stroke on stage. He should walk away
Poor Don...
Omg, I will never criticize Vince Neil again....
Weekend At Dokkens 👩🦽
Can’t Don work with a vocal coach like Shania Twain did to come up with a new vocal sound that is effective and didn’t sound like struggling?
As usual the band and George Lynch sound phenomenal but Don Dokken not so much
Best is if you can catch George headlining. Saw him in MIchigan in Jan '23, INCREDIBLE....

I have tickets and might not bother!! MN!! Sad
If lynch mob is opening, I’d still go! They were great and their singer was really good
@@pbeckster307 I hope they are?
I love Don and met him. Great guy and not the same. I understand that. 👍
George is so good, and dons voice from smoking destroyed him!
More than smoking lmao. Dumb comment

Why is it always the same dokken songs? Can’t they choose some other tunes for once?
I KNOW DO 'TOO HIGH TO FLIY" . They should just let him play the whole damn show. Have a 2 guitar attack
Slippin' Away. Maybe my favorite Dokken song of all time. Butt I don't know if he could hit those notes now
@@charliehustle1540 George left Dokken because him and don didn’t get along. Dons voice is shot, I doubt George would want to be in Dokken now
