my teacher who got me into playing piano and pursuing it told me how much she loved this piece. I told her when I'm advanced enough id play all the movements for her and she said she couldn't wait. a few months ago she died due to brain cancer and I never got to play it for her, but when I do I will dedicate it to her, for pushing me to pursue piano. thank you, and Rest In Peace.

This piece is one of those popular pieces that almost every one knows.
It's not shocking why,the beautiful rhythm, and the back story:
Beethoven was almost deaf when writing this.
    Thanks Kassia,your performance was awesome,

Muchas gracias, Kassia.

Hello Kassia, I just wanted to say that a year ago I was so mesmerized by your piano playing and the way you gracefully moved your hands that I soon wanted to study and play the piano . I didn't have an actual piano so I tried to study music theory on my own. After a year of downloading pdfs of music theory books I thought that I was ready. I pleaded my parents to buy me a piano and after seeing my determination they actually bought it. Today, I may just be a beginner but I always dream that one day I'll finally play like you.

My piano teacher just gave me this piece because I had been persistently bugging him about it. He was teaching me the finger substitutions in the left hand, and to my surprise, I found it somewhat difficult to find anyone on RUclips who does those finger substitutions [out of those who use reactive visualizers like you]. Most I’ve seen just lift their LH and move around the keybed in that manner for this piece.
I brought up to him how I have not seen the finger substitutions done on many YT videos, and he mentioned how that’s very unfortunate because you end up hearing a ‘clunk’ between the LH chordal movements. And, now that I’ve heard & seen the finger substitutions being done, the difference in sound really is apparent. This truly sounds much smoother than the recordings of those who do not do the proper finger substitutions.
Your hard work & training is apparent & it pays off. Well done, from an aspiring pianist. Subscribed ❤

I absolutely love the Track 8 in Might & Magic 9 inspired by this melody. Frostgard is a mysterious place with lots of snow and ice, the see is frozen (no ships can reach this place) and the castle, where the main action takes place is also all covered in ice and full of it. So thematically this "eternal sleep" melody fits perfectly.
