Hello! How have you been? I was supposed to upload the special piece Saint-Saëns’s “Danse Macbre” for Halloween. Due to several problems, uploading the video has been delayed. (…Happy belated Halloween!..) By the way, do you guys already know this piece? Although this piece was composed for orchestra, I hope this piano version, too!:) There are several piano arrangements. I used Liszt’s version for this performance. Thank you much! Have a nice day!

I would like to hear your interpretation of Rachmaninoff's underrated *first* piano sonata (Op. 28). Ever since your cover of his Moments Musicaux (Op. 16) No. 4 I believe that your interpretations of Rachmaninoff's compositions are among the best. This is a challenge though, considering that all three movements of the piano sonata takes a total time of around 35 minutes to complete.

Hi, I'm in the middle of a history exam, but this is more important. I love this piece, but I never heard Lizst't piano arrangement before, at first I thought it was a little weird cause the extra parts. My favorite parts of this arrangement is from 4:15 to 4:38 and from 4:45 to 5:27, it might be because it seemed magical, creepy and happy at the same time, gave me shivers . I loved the visuals and you have a unbelievable talent. Thank you for everything. Please play Beethoven’s Turkish March (from “The ruins of Athens”).

Halloween 1966. I was 6 years old. I had chicken pox. I could not go trick or treating. As it happens, my uncle, who was second violin for a major symphony orchestra, was over the house with two of his orchestra buddies for poker night with my Dad and my other uncle. When they found out I was banned from trick or treating, they went out to their car to retrieve their respective instruments. They then put on an impromptu concert and this was one of the selections played by a violin, cello and double base. I can still feel the vibrations of all those strings in our tiny cramped living room as I lay on the floor between them looking up at the ceiling in the darkened room while my Dad projected a show of shadow puppetry acting out all manner of ghoulies and ghoasties, long-leggety beasties, and things that go bump in the night all dancing in time with the melody. I cannot hear this piece without flashing back all those decades ago.

@@aubertducharmont until you upload them, we can’t believe you unfortunately. You probably try to play them, but until you record yourself playing, you don’t hear all your mistakes in them. And ALL chopin etudes? That’s definitely a lie. There is no way you can play op.25 no.6 without reading sheet.

I keep coming back to listen to this, even over orchestral versions, trying to pinpoint what gets me so hard... I think it's because Kassia takes full advantage of the fact that this is a SOLO - no need for coordination and cooperation between individuals. So there is full control over changes in tempo, pauses even *within* phrases which is far harder to coordinate in an orchestra, though obviously the latter provides a much fuller sound.
(thinking of how concertos have solo sections, allowing ad libs as a highlight of the piece etc)

When I was in primary school my HR teacher decided this would be a good piece to use in our class' Christmas presentation lol I was given the role of one of the dead, but the kid who was going to be the devil didn't want to, so when the teacher inevitably asked us who wanted to be the devil I immediately went for it (what's cooler than dressing up as the devil for Christmas?!) I've had special Christmas costumes but nothing will ever beat that one. Needless to say this piece became one of my favourites~
