@@annasun213 Nice! I'm probably gonna get there within the next few months as well. (Quarantine means lots of time to practice)
Easy.
What.
Oh Liszt, you and Paganini sure do know how to make us pianists suffer.
That’s *the* Liszt alright.
Hy Mr Liszt
You dont like the c# and the d# keys, right?
Hi Liszt!! I love you
Pianists really amaze me, how do they split their brain into two different entities in order to play completely different hand movements, time signatures, rhythm, dexterity....I can't really put into words the complexity of physicality required to play compositions like this. Incredible.
I'm nowhere near as good as this, but I do have an answer: practice.
You know how you don't really think about what you're doing when you walk? It wasn't always like that; Babies have to spend a long time getting a handle on that skill. However, once you put enough time into it you stop thinking about it entirely. Some part of your brain sees a pattern in what you're doing and starts picking up the slack for you.
Playing piano, or really any difficult skill, is just like this. You do the same thing over and over, and eventually your brain picks up on the patterns. It's actually a little freaky watching your own mind figure stuff out on it's own, learning to do things that feel like they should be impossible. But, it is possible. It's just how the human brain works. Do the thing a lot, then it becomes second nature.
Some people think this somehow takes away from the "specialness" of attaining such high proficiency in a thing, but I disagree. If anything, it's more impressive. You need to truly love a craft to sink that kind of time into it.
i mean like we just practice this piece is actually not that bad if you just practice
Idk about everyone else but I don’t really split my brain in two at all. I have to practice each hand separately, then together. Eventually the rhythms of the two halves merge into a complete piece. I can hear the two halves fully separately in real time, but my hands move together and anticipate and thus rely on each others movements.
@@AetherNoble exactly that’s how I learned this piece which took like 2 weeks of practice
@@timothyhansen4648I played piano for 12 years growing up, it's honestly just muscle memory after hours and hours of repetition on a piece.
Many years ago in the 50s the girls school,I attended had an assembly every morning. There were lots of very take ted pianists in our ranks, and every morning whilst we were assembling there would be piano music before the Head in her flowing gown walked down the aisle to commence the day. As soon as the doors opened , the pianist would stop, only once did the Head wait outside the door , transfixed like the rest of us by this exquisite piece of music played by a gifted 14 year old. I have never forgotten it.

My Grandfather had a very special ability with the piano. There is a recording of when I was little, I was at my grandparents' house, they had a piano. My grandfather was playing ‘La Campanella’ (This same piece) while I was admiring him and very happily dancing to the song. It was like Magic when he played the Piano, he truly took you to another world between his notes. I have very blurry memories, as I was about three years old. I would have liked to know him when I was older, to have been more aware of what I was going to lose in the future, to be able to spend moments together. Yea, I can agree with the sentiment, but Rosseau lacks expression in many of his pieces. His La Campanella isn't well-expressed at all. Hi, Mateusz.:)
I think that many youtuber did it because youtube algorithm wants short title for searching. I will try to fill in the correct information in this channel. Please let me know if there is anything wrong or strange. Maybe I will play etude 6 in the future. Thank you always!💕
This is liszt’s piece in every way, it’s based on a theme by paganini on the violin. Many composers use themes from their adversaries.
Are you saying Paganini was Liszt avdersary
@@samthepianoman no, but it wasn't uncommon for brahms, schumann, liszt, chopin to use themes from other composers and there's nothing wrong with doing so.
Yeah I know lol
his hand is so fast like literally unbelieveable absolute fabulous
Of course one of the most demanding pieces of music ever is written by the best pianist ever, based on the work of the best violinist ever. Very good job, Kassia!
Chopin is the best in my opinion, Liszt is my 2nd favorite composer
I put Beethoven 1st and then Liszt 2nd imo
@@trebleclef9844 pianist not composer , Liszt was superior in playing the piano Chopin has himself said that
@@yangwenli668 Liszt is a composer, who said pianists cant be a composer

This is a whole new dimension of appreciating music. Everyone should 'see' music.

right hand: *HELP*
interesting 😂😂

Left hand isn’t easy but compared to right hand...
LMAO. True it looked like the left was trancing around having fun in the garden on a summer day while the right, well, was crying for help.

하.. 다른거를 봐도 초반부에 너무 힘이 없어보여서 바로 의욕을 잃는데 당신은 그러지가 않네요ㅠㅠ 진짜 너무 잘쳐서 경의롭습니다
The difficulty is so high that I feel uncomfortable listening to the piece alone. How on EARTH could there be people who actually consider practicing La Campanella anyway?
Nguyen Vu literally me who is : I have become more powerful than any jedi has imagined off
It's a fun challenge and it looks MUCH harder than it is. Really, try it man.
the challenge
I am practicing La campanella and not that hard
Its easy but takes a while to learn
This is the equivalent of doing an 8 person raid solo.

After every Piece Liszt played, he pointed at the piano and said "next one"

how the hell
even that part is hard tho 😂
This piece REALLY distinguishes pianists into two groups; Alien and human.
Alias Fakename Paganini and Liszt were often accused of either selling their souls to the devil or actually being possessed by the devil because of their skill. Fun fact of the day!
@@davidsmith3382 Very cool. Thanks for the fact!
