I’m going to be flying my very first maiden flight today with a home made balsa built eagle 250. (never have flown anything before today.) My wife watched this video with me and said “are you going to land your plane like that,” ( the bounce ) and I said yes I am, and many, many more like that for years to come. I think everyone watching this will agree with me. Great video as always, please keep um coming. Thanks.
It went pretty good, like I said in another post it’s a lot easier to fly these babies than landing them. So overall it went well. Thanks for asking I appreciate it, take care.@@HciContractor
@@FatGuyFliesRC Thank you for your quick reply. That is exactly what I wanted to know. I will try the electronic switch because the transmitter I have is not multi-functional and I cannot set it.
I’ve flown mine a few times now, and it felt like I always got an over correction on my gains on 1x. I’ve been flying it with the gyro completely off lately, and like it better that way. I don’t understand why. This is my only plane like that. I’ll probably pull the receiver out, and just use a AR620
The top port on the receiver and assign it as the gear channel and change that channel to "A" or "B" just whatever switch you want. After the ESC is armed then flip that chosen switch and you should have reverse.
My Futura will be here Tuesday it looks like it is a tough bird our club Field here in Panama City Fl Miracle Strip RC club is real low cut should be ok for take off good video 😀✈✈🪂👍👍
Hoping mine shows up Tuesday, Then heading to the field as fast as I can weather permitting LOL! I will let you know how it does, and I will post a video too. By the way I like the new start up intro! 😀@@FatGuyFliesRC
Well here I take up this great FMS Futura 64mm and I feature the reverse thrust capabilities!

THANKS and God bless you and your wife. As long as the good Lord let's me I will keep flying and sharing.
How did you first flight go?

@@78vette51 excellent! I enjoy your work brother man. Thanks!
The Breaking on last landing 🌿wuz Kool !! 🌿
Thanks ✌
Almost got my first two FPV drone planes working fully over long range crossfire. I upgraded my head tracker.
Very cool!!! What kind of batteries do you use for the long range stuff?
Barely getting started since I took so long to get things going right.@@FatGuyFliesRC
Could u do a video on placement and how to properly install receiver please
Yes stay tuned. But give me some time. Many projects ahead.
Thank you for the great video. I have the same model but I don't know how to reverse the fan. If you don't mind, please let me know how to do it.
You will need an open port on a receiver. Plug that little yellow wire into a open port on the receiver and assign to a switch.

Greg, be careful in reverse thrust. There’s a small chance of sucking up a small rock 🪨 which would destroy the Impeller inside the EDF. Just FYI
Yeah I was just demonstrating. I would not normally care about.

This is a very well designed airframe . Very stable. I also am only running a ar620.
Is reverse thrust also possible on the Futura 80mm? If so can you explain the setup on a Spektrum transmitter? Thank you
I did not see a signal wire for that coming off the esc of the 80mm but I will look again.
I am unable to get reverse thrust to work on my Futura 64mm. The yellow wire is on the signal port of the gear channel. HELP PLEASE!!!!

I will purchase one. Would you give me a discount coupon?
You need some practice with this 64mm beauty Fat Guy, you have great landings most of the time, but this one is giving you some trouble!!!
Gosh that means I gotta go practice with her more. Such work.....lol
My Freewing BaE Hawk should fly very similar to the Futura
Yeah I need to fly mine more. People a
Say the FW Bae Hawk has a bad bounce , I did not have that.
@@FatGuyFliesRC yours has the upgraded suspension landing gear like mine…? I got the primered version

If I had taken her out further in the field and moved the battery back some I am sure she would have lifted off.

You could land that jet really short, just with flaps it comes in so slow. Add reverse thrust and it'll stop on a dime. Lol👊👊
Reverse is just cool yet unneeded feature in this jet. Now a bigger faster and heavier jet then yes.
Trouble is you are try to hard to use the reverse thrust that you are not consentrating on landing.
Tell me about it.
