Great to watch an auto repair video in which the mechanic isn't cussing and using every swear word in existence. I appreciate that. Thanks for the G-rated video.
I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate your videos. I'm not a mechanic but love to do mechanical things. You are the most knowledgeable auto mechanic. You are incredible !!! Thank you …. Really Thank you..
'Capless' filler. At first I thought it was kinda neat..then I thought about it for a second..dirt,leaks,problems. More of a PITA than it's worth,as you have illustrated. Another great video!
Brother's 2015 Focus has one of these capless fuel-fill system, AND the fuel filler door is unlockable! I bought him an lockable gas-cap: 8U5Z-9C268-B.
I am really enjoying your videos Eric! I am a postal mechanic here in the midwest and we have massive rust problems here and evap codes for days,,,,,, We have a about 500 08 Uplanders in our chunk of the fleet and our smoke machine gets plenty of use. In contrast the right hand drive Fords don't give us many problems but they do have gas caps!
Great video as usual. Just another one of my silly tips for you when you're working with smoke generators. Instead of using a normal Torch . Get one of them cheap red laser pointers really cheap on eBay. You can see the smoke going through the laser beam and it works in really difficult places to get to. Plus, as you do a lot of video recording in awkward places you can shine the laser on the point you are talking about. If you know what I mean.
If I recall correctly the capless systems are illegal in NJ. One part of the state inspection is testing the cap. When I worked for Advance we sold a "quick fill" cap, which was basically a screw on version of that thing. I had a few people tell me that the inspection station didn't even remove it to test it, just slapped a rejected sticker on their car and told them they had to get rid of them.
As a Ford tech I see lots of these. Multiple TSB's out for this problem. Usually when I see small evap leaks, it's the fuel filler neck. Large evap leaks are often purge valves (new style).
My 13’ Flex Limited NA had a small evap leak that was the purge valve. Replaced it with an original Motorcraft I bought from Amazon. No issues with that code again.
What brilliant mind thought of that capless deal? What a joke! I just can't imagine what they've got in store for the consumers of the future. Thanks for the video.
So most fuel system leaks on Ford seem to be associated with severe corrosion on fuel inlet tubes. However you may also want to look for issues with degradation of o-ring seal on fuel pump/sender to tank assembly. It seems the plastic material used in sender assembly is reactive in some way to either fuel or temperature or time. Noted in plastic o-ring seal area are numerous fissures and fractures about 360 degree circumference. These fractures do not seem to be caused by stress or other common cause; they seem to be attributed to material-science issue in design or manufacturing. Fuel leaks from these fissures pools on top of tank when tank is filled or fuel splashes against seal while driving. Fuel vapors are periodically noted in cabin with EVAP error codes intermittently reported. Replace entire sender assembly or coat fractures with quality sealant for cost effective fix.
Maybe another "convenience" feature to keep your hands clean while filling up? At least the filler neck was rotting out anyways so replacement would avoid that problem before it got out of hand in the wonderful salt belt...
I like your attitude. You remind me of, well, me. I loved working in the garage at my dad's place. That was years ago, miss it dearly. At least I have a carport to work on now, however. I would love to have that car lift, though. Keep up the videos. I try to record as often as I can when it comes to working on my truck and car. Enjoyable, at times. Working on a P0442, and a P0305, and a P0456 Oh, what fun. (No smoke machine here, though)
There is an emergency funnel located where the spare tire kit is that fits in the filler so you can add gas from a can. Wont offer a great camera shot, though at least you can get some eyes on whats going on.
Great video ,,,,,Capless scrap,,,,, i fixed mine luckily bought new locking gascap andthe video very inte peoblem solved ! Thanks for showing diagnosis
FORD has been having a lot of problems with their cap-less system. I personally find it idiotic. I however find your videos very informative. I came across your channel a few months ago and subbed. Keep up the great work sir. Thank you Jim
I'm sure they went to this type of system to reduce the number of customers coming to the dealer with check engine lights caused by loose filler caps. No filler cap means no service appointments for loose filler caps.
I remember the first time I saw one of these Ford "easy fuel" things on cars at the Minneapolis auto show. The FIRST thing that came to mind was, "how is this not going to leak after a couple of years?" The 2nd question was, "How are they going to keep crap from falling in there all the time?"
There is a tool in the truck for putting gas in with a can . If I you use carb cleaner or spray sea foam and push in and out it can sometimes clean it up and will seal. I fixed my mother in-laws that way. Given the rust belt condition of the filler pipe may be best to replace head off future issues
How many people remember when their was more involved then removing the gas cap. like the fill neck being behind the tag. I was around many monte carlo's in my childhood back in the early 1990s.
The cap-less systems seems to be a problem waiting to happen. A lot of rust under that vehicle for a 2009 but I work on southern cars. I see u still have my Camaro in the shop :)
I agree that the cap-less fuel filler neck stinks. We have a Taurus with 4,000 miles on it and the fuel filler neck has failed with evap system codes twice. I remember having to fill up my 56 Chevy by tipping the driver rear tail light to reveal the fuel cap. I also had Buicks with the fuel cap under the license plate holders.
That capless fuel system is a problem no matter where you live. Here in Texas no salt on the roads but just humidity will work them over . If you go further west the sand gets them. If you went to Ford you have probably got the new improved filler neck. I have already changed one on a 2013 Explorer. Thanks for the video. Those capless filler necks do bring in the business. Good Luck.
Bro this comment has nothing to do with the video all the though it was helpful!!! I’m not a weirdo either just a huge music fan country music fan and you may have heard this before but you sound just like Chris young!!! Not sure if you even listen to country music or know who Chris is but I heard it as soon as you spook not even sure if you sing or not but you might wanna give it a try!!! With that all being said good video it helped me out with my daughters expedition thanks….
Hey Eric...do be honest like another viewer, I never knew there was such a thing out there. I knew about the auto tranny's with no dipstick and hell, maybe there's no dipstick for some engines by now. I'm not crazy about that design either as it seems to be more trouble than it's worth. But one thing for sure is that the engineer who came up with the idea probably got a big impact bonus. I see some dumb ideas at work, yet they will get bonuses for these 'great' ideas. Only problem is that someone else has to work on that crap which constantly fails. Maybe I should buy a new vehicle so I can see all the new innovations that cars have now...NOT!!! Take care Eric and looking forward to part 2 as I'm curious about the design of this capless system.
stuzman52 New part showed up today and she is bringing it back next week... no biggy it only sets the customer back $309.00 for the part haha What a joke right?
South Main Auto Repair Holy Moly...that's one expensive item which I would hope would include the filler pipe since its own its last leg with all that rust. Well, so much for the $10 fuel cap.
What a shame, just when I thought, maybe, perhaps, Ford could design and build a decent vehicle they blow it. Fix Or Repair Daily holds true. Great video and look forward to part two. On a side note thought you'd like to know my evenings are now taken with reloading. I'm hand rolling .357 mag. You should drive down and we'll make smoke.
South Main Auto Repair Currently, .38 Special, then .357 Mag. When we 'train' or shoot we transition between rifle and handgun. Lots of fun. Bunch of old vets freaking out the neighborhood cows and goats. Democritters wet their under-roos and head to bed.
Haha it is pretty low key at our house. When ever I go out and shoot... like every other day... I go tell my closest neighbor who is a vet. He did 3 tours in Nam so I give him the heads up out of respect. He is cool with it but I always like to check on him just to be sure. I make a lot of big booms :)
For future , On cap less fillers they have funnels to open the valve to add gas from cans and you can use silicone lightly spritz to spray that valve to lube that seal. You can find the funnel under back seat or in with spare tire. Hope all is well I am not a fan of this system at all.
It's not Ford it's EPA bullshit. Chevrolet has even more emission issues. Like Vent Valves, Purge Solenoids, the occasional Charcoal Cannister, air injection pumps. Emissions are necessary for future generations, but like anything today and decades prior, all manufacturers want to make everything super cheap and this is the out come. A 95% likelihood the part will make it just past warranty. It's big business. Especially as time goes on more and more states are requiring emissions testing and they know YOU have to Fix it, Buy a new vehicle, or Walk. Haha. Have a good day
Excellent video...., made me laugh. Right before you said it, I thought to myself, "what a ridiculous design." The engineer who drew that up probably takes a train to work. Had a evap issue with my 07 caravan with no valve to smoke. Ended up being the nvld. Do you have any recommendations for a do it your self smoke machine? Thanks, Chuck
Cobra Ninety Six Those NVLD systems can be a little trick just a little dumber than the LDP system dodge had haha. I think the smoke pro is a pretty nice unit from what I have seen
not only did you have the filler in the rear but the pumps had a mile long hose so you can go to any pump. Now you have to go to the correct pump for your car. So this is progress?
Back in the day when the gas cap was behind the license plate? When it was annoying to hold the license plate down while fueling the vehicle and even more annoying when trying to replace the gas cap? Or how about the Chargers, and others, that put the fuel fill on the back of the car so that when you were done fueling the gas would drip on the paint?
Holy cow, that much rust on an '09? Rocker corners look like they're about to start perforating as well. How does this stack up in terms of corrosion resistance to something like a Pilot or Highlander from those same years of production?
Thanks for the reply. I think the OEMs should set up test facilities in your neck of the woods and base all of their corrosion engineers out of there :) I keep my '96 4Runner absolutely doused in Fluid Film on the underside, seems to be working pretty well, but Indianapolis is nowhere as bad as upstate NY.
For future reference to anyone watching this now in 2023. Dont poke at the filler neck like he did, use the funnel which should be located on your spare tire compartment. Spray the inner part of the filler neck, where he sprayed brake parts cleaner. Then simply wipe clean. Use the funnel and spray the inner part of the filler neck again and push into it about 20 times and wipe dry.
Nice old Camaro- I had 3 1st generation Camaros' 2 67 RS, 1 was a 396/325 and 4 speed, I plugged in the 396 with headers and holley spread bore. 2 was a Yenko clone, 427/425 with 456 gears and a 4 speed, true powerhouse and 1/4 mile screamer, 3 was a 69 Z-28. 427 Camaro I had a borg and beck Zoom pressure plate, so much pedal pressure I had to buy a special/HD clutch linkage as the factory one bent from all that pressure, not much fun to drive in traffic, that was back in the day for me. All those old Camaros worth a MINT now That capless filler is a joke, I truly feel sympathy when someone cannot spin a fuel cap a few revolutions- God forbid people are required to do anything now days
Interesting vid. Cap less fuel system on the Ford, you can service the system and lubricate the flapper in the neck. Gm has gone cap less as well, far superior to a screw on cap. I like them . The emergency fill tube in each vehicle is used with a lube to seal the flapper. The aluminum door does not do any sealing as far as I understand. The filter in the tank catches any trash . Lubeing the seal doesn't always work either. From my understanding it's design is to eliminate the possibility of the person filling the tank not tightening down the old style cap enough causing an evap code. Idiots lights on the dash and now idiot fill caps :). Look forward to a teardown review. Image from documents.specialchem.com/documentsom/indexables/editorial/editorial/21544/ford-eay-fuel.jpg.
Erick a question ..in case that it wasnt liking from the filler neck what will be your next step??..cuz there is no help to rurn on that vent valve close??you'll change the canister??
I was so happy to see a Ford episode....then I saw the capless system, and immediately went into Facepalm mode. Have we gotten so lazy, that unscrewing a cap is too much work?? Makes absolutely no sense, as to why a simple screw cap w/ gasket system wasn't used. I hope this isn't the future...
Darren G. If people want to "tech up" their cars so much that they don't even have to take the key out of their pocket to unlock the door and start the car, then there's no way they can be bothered to unscrew a gas cap.
What model is that "Pearson" lift...made by Atlas? Like it, hate it??? Thinking about a used one for my home. Learning quite a bit here, very nice job with these vids Eric. Thanks.
paul2072z That is actually made by Pearson themselves in the states and it is a 10K-ADJ. Good lift and great company . My small lift is an Atlas and the one in my big shop is one of the throw away 10k bend packs.
I've had the capless system since 2011. Never had any issues. This one looks like it hasn't had the best life. Seems to have been abused somehow over the years. It's like most things, if you maintain it and keep it clean, that's half the battle.
South Main Auto Repair Yep, and according to the BS anonymous society Chrysler is the only manufacturer that will not be using this design so to avoid it, you and Vanessa miles well invest in a Chrysler product... I'm NOT serious at all
There's someone in the design team on the magic mushrooms again. If a problem does'nt exist lets create one.Liked the video. Is there a secret link between Gm motors and Fiat motors ?[fix it again tomorrow]
I have a 2011 Ford Escape, and have the same problem with the same code. I put a piece of duct tape over the inlet to see if the code would stop coming up. It worked, but now what is the fix?? Its been at the dealer 2x and they cant fix it!!
Not a fan of the capless design. I expected problems like this to happen not to mention many others. Sometimes all I can do is shake my head and wonder what they were thinking. At this rate I wouldn't want any of the newer vehicles sold today. Way too many stupid little things to go wrong that will no doubt cost a small fortune to fix. Hated to see this because the Flex was one of my favorites.
Niceee! If they've gone this far, might as well go the whole 9 yards and put mice trap doors on every fill system in the car for ease of use : coolant, oil, brake etc. Make it easier for technicians too... Hey,how about drain plugs that work the same way? The trap doors keep'em sealed with the weight of the fluid and a nice thick O-ring...what could go wrong...
No smoke machine needed here, looked at the filler neck on a 2001 Taurus and she looked really mean. Changed the filler tube with the cheapest filler neck other than OEM cheaper than Dorman, she not too long for this world. Just wanted her to make it thru her last emission test.....hahaha Ran a drive cycle within one day and she passed.
The capless filler was designed for the "New Gas Pump" that was going to replace having to get out of your vehicle to pump your own gas. One of those California things that went nowhere. And there no expensive. Just a pain in the ass to replace.
Claude Rains I am not really asking you here but... What's wrong with a universal screw on cap that a robot can unscrew and insert a nozzle? Someone at Ford must have realized that this system would fail sooner rather than later. And i can think of a number of different designs that would be far superior to this one if "quick and easy" is a requirement. For starters, i wouldn't have a hole where stuff can collect over time which would eventually go into the gas tank and also cause premature failure of the system.
Cadde I think if we are at a point in life where we as a people can't handle the "gas cap" welll then it is time to sit back and examine our lives and have a look at the real problem...
hey erick i dont remember how to go private in the chat but..suburban 2010 in order to oxygen sensor run ready evap must be ready first..??only those 2 not ready..tx...
I know that road salt is corrosive since at one time I lived in Pennsylvania (I try to forget this fact but it still haunts me despite my best efforts.) but are you guys spraying your roads with sulfuric acid in New York. The amount of rust on this thing is amazing.
SATAMAN Schmidt My brother has a 2009 Ford Escape (we live in NY, just north of Eric), and he already has rust perforation in his rear quarter panels. I take some grief for driving a Dodge, but the rust on my car isn't half as bad as either of these Fords.
I have a Ford Flex, good car except I don’t understand why in the Hell they made a cap less system like that. It seems very strange to me. I’m always worried something can get into it easily with no cap.
Yes please show us the assembly if that capless valve. I am sure it's so corroded that it's like swiss cheese where it's supposed to seal and whatever rubber is supposed to seal is all cracked and rock hard.
Ford needs to drug test there engineers ever since the 5.4 3v motor. I will never buy another ford again, just looking at the way they design there motors is not mechanic friendly. Have you ever changed a oil pump in a 5.4?
Do car rust that fast up in New York? I am in Florida =), just wondering..., or Ford make pretty poorly protected body , rust so fast?? Or are all the cars like that there,....after 5-6 years??? Makes me wonder...., I am really surprised =((
No. The vehicle will still start. Yes. This is something which comes on slowly. One of my cars has had a small leak at the fuel cap for 5 years. Check engine light used to come on once a month or more. Now it comes on in 1 to 2 weeks. I am not too worried about it.
It seems as we advance ourselves with technology and new ways to "Redesign the Wheel", we are loosing ground and going backwards as they trim the fat from these cars. I hope someone at the top wakes up.
Just a hint. A good plug are these plastic thingis you use when you Play Golf to balance the Ball on when you hit the Ball first time. I don’t Play Golf (i drive Golf). So i dont know the name. These thingis are conical and fit different tubes and places. I. Use Them f.eks to plug the fuelline on my old beetle when pulling the engine.....
Great to watch an auto repair video in which the mechanic isn't cussing and using every swear word in existence. I appreciate that. Thanks for the G-rated video.
A smart mechanic will make up his own swear words so no one will know what he means except himself.
I can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate your videos. I'm not a mechanic but love to do mechanical things. You are the most knowledgeable auto mechanic. You are incredible !!! Thank you …. Really Thank you..

Another on of Fords better ideas ? Would love to see a part 2 on this. Thanks, great video.
I have always wondered how those cap-less systems worked. Looking forward to part II, thanks again man for bringing us along. Have an awesome day!!

At 4:18, love the way that BendPak has that high speed setting.
Garth Goldberg It is a Ben Pearson Lift... w/ turbo
Thanks for the info we have a hole fleet of those to look foward to with this problem about 60 of them for now

motoYam82 How convenient is it really haha. I mean it is a gas cap haha.
But hey at least you'll never lose your gas cap again hahaha
Yep! Haha that was the whole purpose of it I bet. You can see the engineer making that pitch and that is how he sold it I bet!
Haha that is awesome. As he flies around in his personal jet. I am sure a jet is very low emissions lol
I like your attitude.

Gotta love those old gas caps. I had a 85 Monte Carlo SS that had the gas cap behind the spring loaded hinged license plate. Kind of a pain.

Ford has a better idea. That was their advertising slogan. Now exactly what was it and when did they have this idea?
SATAMAN Schmidt ruclips.net/video/c5NcVB9udRA/видео.html after watching this I am thinking the bulb burned out...
SATAMAN Schmidt I think that slogan was about 1970- all they have now from what I have seen are BAD ideas, one after the other
If you were filming this today, you'd be filming two inches from the leak eating a ham sandwich. You've come a long way, Pilgrim.
Wow ford....just...wow....
Next they will come out with plastic cylinder heads and rubber pistons "for Noise Reduction"
MrTurdfergusen great idea haha

Had a evap issue with my 07 caravan with no valve to smoke. Ended up being the nvld. Do you have any recommendations for a do it your self smoke machine? Thanks, Chuck
Cobra Ninety Six Those NVLD systems can be a little trick just a little dumber than the LDP system dodge had haha. I think the smoke pro is a pretty nice unit from what I have seen
I lube my capless fuel fill with wd40 or lucas fuel treatment once in a while and no problems so far
plus the lube keeps the corrosion down
70carlton "LUBING THE GAS HOLE" should not be a part of a maintenance schedule
South Main Auto Repair LOL should not,...and the capless gas hole should not exist either,...
it is kinda fun to say though haha
not only did you have the filler in the rear but the pumps had a mile long hose so you can go to any pump. Now you have to go to the correct pump for your car. So this is progress?
Mike Shelly Moving forward my friend
from what I've read the reason for that type of fuel inlet is because of robotic fueling stations, now i see a big costly flaw.
Great diagnosis video.
Thought you would make it again without dropping something but you didn't thanks for the videos
All those old Camaros worth a MINT now
That capless filler is a joke, I truly feel sympathy when someone cannot spin a fuel cap a few revolutions- God forbid people are required to do anything now days
jim dandy Oh yes because if they got carpal tunnel as a result of un screwing a cap they could sue the OE (and win)
NVLD = Natural Vacuum Leak Detection. Had to look that one up, never heard of it before. Mainly for Dodge?
***** Mostly Dodge but others like to make junk to so they all follow suit ya know
Interesting vid.
Steve Rob The picture looks like something from health class haha
LMAO
Erick a question ..in case that it wasnt liking from the filler neck what will be your next step??..cuz there is no help to rurn on that vent valve close??you'll change the canister??
Stenio Fernandez Well I wouldn't change the canister unless it was leaking.
Darren G. I hope this isn't the future... Prepare yourself sir
Darren G. If people want to "tech up" their cars so much that they don't even have to take the key out of their pocket to unlock the door and start the car, then there's no way they can be bothered to unscrew a gas cap.
Chris Freemesser Seriously, who has time for that crap. We need to facebook and drive man!
Remember lifting the tail light up to put fuel in my boss 56 Cadillac
Blinker fluid! 🤣
South Main Auto Repair i miss the in ground lifts.
Those Ford Flexes look like an old fashioned beer cooler. They should have made them into beer coolers.
15:23 so you know how you get butterflies in your stomach when going down a rollercoaster?
Yeah, I never got that when watching a RUclips Video. Haha.
***** Hang on!
My 67 Mustang fastback , oh what a beautiful gas cap back then ! 👍 Not Now.
I've had the capless system since 2011. Never had any issues. This one looks like it hasn't had the best life. Seems to have been abused somehow over the years. It's like most things, if you maintain it and keep it clean, that's half the battle.
I just bought a 1981 ford f-150. Can I get rid of the EVAP system? Will it hurt the running or the engine, 4.9L/ 300 CID?
I heard Honda is gonna start using this design, take notes Eric, LOL
jarin wilson Oh man now your just all up in here causing trouble haha
South Main Auto Repair Yep, and according to the BS anonymous society Chrysler is the only manufacturer that will not be using this design so to avoid it, you and Vanessa miles well invest in a Chrysler product...
I'm NOT serious at all
i was gonna ask you what that yellow car was! a beautiful 67/68 camaro sweett
kj '67
A great video.
Ford tech makulo has a video on this it might help ya
Love the videos keep up the good work ethic.
Kyle Kelley I think I have it under control :)
I'm not receiving a check engine light but my code reader gave me a po442 and po455 the van also has a broken fuel door
I've been having a lot of issues with my 2014 Chevy traverse where are you located
It looks like the traditional capped fuel filler neck/tube system wasn't broken but Ford "fixed" it anyway.
Oh there was a Ford? Kept getting distracted by the yellow color haha
There's someone in the design team on the magic mushrooms again. If a problem does'nt exist lets create one.Liked the video. Is there a secret link between Gm motors and Fiat motors ?[fix it again tomorrow]
Tom OConnor Lots of good info on that out on the web...
I have a 2011 Ford Escape, and have the same problem with the same code. I put a piece of duct tape over the inlet to see if the code would stop coming up. It worked, but now what is the fix?? Its been at the dealer 2x and they cant fix it!!
tw440 I am replacing the filler neck

good one, thanks...
WOW...The RUST BELT.
PonyPower71 Well you are right, the newer they are the more they cost it seems. I see it day in and day out.
good video
Yeahh!ford focus same story with those also!
Stenio Fernandez At least they are consistent
South Main Auto Repair Of course but maybe some day it will be too dangerous to leave the car?
Rat invasion or something you know?
Cadde I'll do one better. They can build a gas stations without hiring attendants and to avoid those zombie apocalypse hanging around gas pumps.
hey erick i dont remember how to go private in the chat but..suburban 2010 in order to oxygen sensor run ready evap must be ready first..??only those 2 not ready..tx...
I know that road salt is corrosive since at one time I lived in Pennsylvania (I try to forget this fact but it still haunts me despite my best efforts.) but are you guys spraying your roads with sulfuric acid in New York. The amount of rust on this thing is amazing.
SATAMAN Schmidt Wait till you get a chance to come visit, it is better in person. Oh you may wanna get a tetanus shop before coming to NY though....
SATAMAN Schmidt My brother has a 2009 Ford Escape (we live in NY, just north of Eric), and he already has rust perforation in his rear quarter panels. I take some grief for driving a Dodge, but the rust on my car isn't half as bad as either of these Fords.
how would I do this on a 2001 ford Mustang?? please help
Oscar Rodriguez I have the same code in mine. I replaced the Grommet and that stopped my fuel leak but I'm still getting the code.
Cadde Yeah I am hoping to dissect it when the new one shows up
South Main Auto Repair You are doing a great job as always.
Ford needs to drug test there engineers ever since the 5.4 3v motor. I will never buy another ford again, just looking at the way they design there motors is not mechanic friendly. Have you ever changed a oil pump in a 5.4?
***** ..mmm...not that I can think of right off?
I have nightmare but they all are over engineered now a day’s
Thumbs up!
Do car rust that fast up in New York? I am in Florida =), just wondering..., or Ford make pretty poorly protected body , rust so fast?? Or are all the cars like that there,....after 5-6 years??? Makes me wonder...., I am really surprised =((
Another brilliant idea from the maroons that decided that 12" spark plugs were good. I sure am glad Ford lost me as a customer years ago
+Eric Corse Hey there are figuring it out...slowly.... but they will get there lol
Would this prevent the vehicle from starting?
Did this vehicle drive in with this issue?
No. The vehicle will still start.
Yes. This is something which comes on slowly. One of my cars has had a small leak at the fuel cap for 5 years. Check engine light used to come on once a month or more. Now it comes on in 1 to 2 weeks. I am not too worried about it.
Wow, What a rust bucket, already.
Any info on 04 Suburban service 4wd alert ? Tks
J My4js What code is in it
No code, No check engine light. It just started scrolling on the dash today. "Service 4wd". Tks
You have to pull the codes from the TCCM
Dang. I don't have a OBD. I'll go to AutoZone and get it checked. I'll get back with you.
Thank you.
Anyhow, What state you at ?
They won't be able to with a code reader, I am in NY
*No fuel cap*
*No fuel filter*
*No thank you*
So much for *"Built Ford Tough"* (or whatever their slogan is now days)
Do you get as frustrated with people who let their cars rust this way as I do?
70carlton No because it keeps my lights on.
South Main Auto Repair there will always be ball joints and struts,...
whats the story on the camaro
man new York uses some corrosive stuff wow
hddm3 It is wonderful huh
mine had same thing i just got a new gas cap light went off fixed leak
It seems as we advance ourselves with technology and new ways to "Redesign the Wheel", we are loosing ground and going backwards as they trim the fat from these cars. I hope someone at the top wakes up.
jake ounce All that money in their pockets will keep them sleeping :)
