You and your Wife really are a 'HOOT'... - Driving the 'boat is a no brainer for YOU!!! Hello, especially with your experience...Thanks so very much for sharing the REAL stuff with your followers - 'Down-Home' is always going to pull us IN and show us what so many of us have done for 'decades'...HUGS and TYVM for sharing...
Thank you!
I always use a little corn starch before the egg wash it seems to make them a little crispier in the end. I absolutely loved this video seeing the life on the Tugboat.
Woohooo....time to tug some stuff.... throw out some lines and catch some dinner!
As I’m watching this tonight. Looks like Hurricane Helene is coming PRAYERS FOR ALL IN HELENES PATH.. This is so interesting to me. You are showing us how to clean & cook seafood . Oh how beautiful the fish are LOOK AT THOSE ORCAS!!!How pretty the places you travel to. Thank You for sharing your incredible job. GOD BLESS from West Central Indiana Farmland
Glad I was able to contribute some knowledge to your first time explaining the process to sail aboard an Oceangoing tug and documenting your sea time for upgrading your certificates. Nice job this time around. Aloha.
I love your show! When I was a kid my grampa would pinch our toes awake before the sun came up and we’d pile into the pickup to go fishing all the near by creeks and ponds. We learned early how to clean whatever we caught . Breading of flour , salt and pepper. To this day I love fish. The only thing I do a bit different for the grandkids is to soak the fish in milk to take away the fish taste.
Positive vibrations for sure
say hi to Tim B
Beautiful Thank you for sharing your life!!!
Ian, I bet this is an awesome video. Brother I will watch and segments when I get some time. Thank you God bless you and your family.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
I appreciate that
I seriously loved the video Ian! Great job and thank you for showing us about tug boats! You’re a darn good man bud!!!
Continued blessings stay safe Tug blessings to all
Great video Ian!
Thanks for sharing!!!
Flour in the grease as a kid, when I started cooking it was egg and cracker meal!😁
Great stuff 👍 Always liked being at sea. Takes me back when I wore a younger man's clothes. Out special meal was steak and lobster when we dropped off the marines to shore. 🇺🇲
God bless you your family, the tug crees thank
Thank you for the Tug Boat video, you explained a lot more in this one than in the passed ! ! !
Glad it was helpful!
Good food is always a morale booster.
Absolutely
Aloha. Especially on a ship.
Learned about this as a scout leader. A week away from home at summer camp, around Tuesday / Wednesday some kids might be starting to feel a little homesick and I got to say some Dutch oven desserts in the evening around a campfire brought out a lot of smiles. 🙂
My prayers are with you from U. S.N.
Absolutely fantastic video
i love watching transport videos like this
Tug,take me fishing!!!
Big on that tug boat! Have you ever had any pirates try to get on your tug boat!!.
What a fascinating & interesting video, Ian. Great content, as usual😊
Love the Tug videos, this one, all together was fun to watch. I think all the people involved are amazing, not an easy job whether on the tug or the one holding down the home front. Have a wonderful week out there, wherever your travels take you!
Thanks for sharing your watch hours - that is something I was going to ask - for us it was 4 on and 8 off and I never got to see the sun come up or go down :-)
Aloha. I used to be a RM in the Navy. We did 8 on,8 off, plus I had to fix teletypes on my down time. After being at sea for extended periods of time, I just lost track of it. Couldn’t tell you whether it was am or pm.
Much love Ian I love your videos
Cuba is beautiful! I've been there.
It really is!
@@TugTrashOutdoors Thanks for sharing, very cool video!
Great video! Thanks for sharing.
Love the tug boatin’ vids ! 👍🏼
Excited for this video… love the tug content
Loving the tug videos. We have a couple questions. What felt like the most dangerous moment you've experienced? Have you ever had to worry about pirates,? Lastly, why is the cargo you're hauling so far away and other times so much closer?
Thanks & keep filming we love it.
I watch all the videos and like , I don't always comment. But love all the videos.

Ian love the Tug Boat videos. You do such a good job with your content. Love crystal and Bianca too.❤
Thanks so much!
I have binged watched every video since the beginning of this year and man I gotta say tug its nice to see a three hour video of you at work. This is what youtube is for, the average fellow just showing his talents and intrests and bring us along without all the fake bs most youtubers do these days. Now I gotta grab a beer and sit in my lazy boy for the next three hours. Cheers mate 🍻
longer videos are better
Cheers!
Can also use potato starch, very traditional for japan
🎉9/25/2024.... your three hour tour 🎶 🎵... is winding down... interesting vid. Tx. Hope you had a great Christmas with your girls. Be blessed

Bother I love all your videos from the tug boat 🚢 cowboy downtown Orlando Florida God bless you and yours ❤🎉😊
Thank you! You too!
Great video very informative and interesting. Awesome scenery from Cuba. Thanks for sharing!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨
Glad you enjoyed it
Hey Ian I really enjoy your videos all of them, there fun and interesting to say the least I would like to see ya cook something Jamaican Jerk style, also a young man that I go to church with made some Datil sauce with the peppers I grew and it turned out very good keep up the good work!!!
Awesome!
THANKS
Welcome
Hey Tug, Did you ever try putting the bread crumb in a gallon zip lock bag. I coat my chicken pieces by tossing them in a zip lock bag with bread crumbs. You can do several pieces at a time. Just a though you consider.
Awesome stuff ian ...! ! ! !
Thanks 👍
That McDonald’s is missing the styrofoam food containers.
Just saying. How about a video of and your wonderful wife got together? You both are great together.
suddenly I don't feel so bad burning 14 gallons of petrol in my ol honda :)
Did you say 8 days away from home and my wife sign me up!!!
28 not 8
@@TugTrashOutdoorsRetired Longshoreman Port Elizabeth but 28 even better haha great video
Give ya the thumbs up, and drop ya a comment….but I ain’t watching nothing for three hours! 😂
For those who don't know, tell us why you tow the barge so far behind the tug. And is it always the same distance? Why do you need 2 radars and 2 VHF radios? Why do you take a Pilot on board when you enter and leave port? Great to see those 2 Coast Guard Cutters. I got hurt and got out with a disability in 1990 after 16 years of duty. 30:48
Aloha. When I was in the Navy, we used a pilot at every port, including home. As far as the redundancy, simple, in case one breaks.
At McDonald's, try a double quarter pounder plain Like a mac!!! Taste like a old school big mac
I work a tug boat out of statin island in the 80s. The crew were pirates, the bathroom had dozens of girlie mags in it. Arrrrr
True
I'm from the Carolinas and a couple times a week. I would bring a couple two 3 lb bass home and feed my three kids with him and I prepared them exactly like you are. Right now I use progresso Italian bread crumbs with a little bit of harm. Deep fried them and my kids used to say Dad. Can we have some more chicken?
Awsome 👍
Thank you!
I see thank you !
You need a IC teck on there
If it ain't Dukes, it ain't worth a duke
Bet you always wanted to fish that cliff
Perfect 👍
Thanks 👍
hey capt! i got an awesome 2 ingredient tartar sauce for ya. jalapeno relish and mayo. thats it. my preference is rajun cajun brand relish(more kick) but given your location wickles brand is a good alternative. if you can get your hands on that rajun cajun brand try that out. you can add all your other stuff if you like but i'd like to know what you think beforehand. to me the jalapeno relish is better than pickle relish. fair winds and fair seas out there! see you on the one!! ps. you should show your subscribers how to get a green hand to tune your radars lolz.
But grew up in philadelphia, we got our seafood from seafood america..lol
Where do you guys get your valves?? In Jax and happy to help if not already getting from us. Love your videos!
Man how do I get into this career? I’m done wrenches on cars this looks interesting
Hey Ian- has your tugboat ever been struck by lightning while y'all were under way? Just curious. Thanks for all the wonderful videos. Good bless.
Not yet!
Ian how do guys control the barge you tow, keeping in directly behind the tug. How far back do you tow it. Love the video.
Vary carefully
Its unfortunate that the 2 nations can't get over the past truly believe the Cuban people would embrace that
bro. you are good enough personality to let the content breath and not worry about the proper editing. at certain times i see you trying to please the viewer a little too much
for example... i would have liked to see you struggle to open that paprica, or i would like to have seen you eat more
What happens if the line snaps under way? I know you have a backup, but how do you attach it to the barge when you're offshore?
Bro we have seen this already
It’s a compilation video
Ian, have a question for you why is it so far of a distance between Tug & the Big Boat. Love your videos.
Safety
Has anyone ever ran a boat across your tow cabel? Welll you are in tow. Where do u think the cabel is on tow? Water depth?
How many knots is typical speed and where all do you go it that your normal route or do you go other places??
What’s the HP of the tug? What’s the biggest fish caught trolling? How many crew members work each trip?
3000, big, 5
YOU GUYS EAT GOOD ,
I don't know if you can tell or tell us or not. What was your cargo going over? And I'm curious what cargo did you bring back?
Ya wondering same thing and is it just for the navy base or for all of Cuba
I'm guessing that grocery bill was $1,800 to $2,000. Let me know?
Yeah, all the new McDonald's suck because their tiny inside like a motel 6 lobby and you can't get your own refills anymore and for the most part you have to use a self order kiosk, no one takes your order anymore and on top of all that still pay 15+ per person eat modestly 🤑 id take that old 90's style lobby anyday, especially if it's made to order and hot.
Hey tug trash how far back is the barg and can you see it at night to where it is
1200-1800’ and yes you can see it’s lights
Tugmaster
So you on salary and what is your work schedule like so many days on than so many off? Thanks for video
Depends
How many knots do y'all cruise @?
7.5
Sorry if I missed it, How many are in the crew?
5
Tug How Much does the Wire Cost and how long does it Last?
A lot and a few years depending on how much it’s worked
Ian, are you Captain or first mate?
Mate
How far out are you in being a captain?
Not sure what you are asking?
@@TugTrashOutdoors I thought you were the Captain, when showing the rooms you said this in my room and the next room you said this is the Captains room.
@@ko9446I work as the mate 2nd in command. That said I hold 200ton master upon oceans
