So useful for a newbie like me who finds buying yarn online a nightmare ! I don't have any shops Incan go to see yarns. Would you be able to do a video showing the actually yarns like 8/2 3/2 and others I've seen 32/8 etc I find it all confusing ! Seeing the yarns on a video would be brilliant !
Hi Karen! What great feedback!! Thank you so much! Yes, I will definitely work on that. I have no doubt you aren't alone with those specific frustrations!!
@@ActonCreative oh that would be absolutely amazing ! I have ordered so many yarns that didn't come quite as expected ! Maybe you can also and idea of each weight yarn might be used for? Like lightweight table mats, tea towels etc ?
Wonderful information, thank you. Trying to get the courage up to learn to weave on my 4 shuttle loom gifted to me 30 years ago. Want to choose a yarn that inspires me and is fun rather than overtly utilitarian and instructional.
Where do you get your cones? Are you in the US? I would like some that's natural so I can dye it myself, but it seems hard to decide where to shop when just starting!
Great question! These days, I tend to shop at my local weaving store, Three Moons Fiberworks. But when I have ordered online in the past, I have used Great Northern Weaving, Webs, and Yarn Barn of Kansas. Hope that helps!!
@@ActonCreative im looking forward to seeing the rest of your content. My friend and I are both crazy about crafting, we text eachother about it all on telegram, last nite she was saying about how, we should make a playlist somehow, of all the fun crafty links we sent eachother.
Anyways here is the link for just weaving, shes got it solit i to several overlapping fields, like crafting, sewing, knit and crochet, etc ruclips.net/p/PLFV3s-qp63n6jN2izSm9EKP104M6nWTKh Jen's weaving playlist
