Thank you for all of this information. I wish that I would have seen it when I first bought the refrigerator. I'm 71 and couldn't figure some things out. The Owner's Manual from KitchenAid is lacking. I didn't even know how to use the controls on the front of the refrigerator.
Where is the water filter replacement light located? The light for the one I have never came on for me to let me know I had to replace the water filter
I couldn't get the ice bin out while releasing the latch. I used my hand and dug out ice until it was empty and saw that there were some ice cubes jamming the latch. It released after I got most of the ice out. I was so glad to see that the bin in the freezer was to be used for storing more ice.
Can you or someone post a video of just the water dispensing so I can compare if my water dispensing is loud and shakily or that's normal? I can't quite tell with your background music. Great review Greasebum
@@scott9739 Yes, it was the flow rate, I had it under warranty and he fixed it after replacing everything(which didn't fix it). But try looking online for a DIY to change flow rate, that'll fix it
Hi me and husband are considering purchasing this model. What do you think of it so far? We are just a bit concerned with some of the reviews we have seen
I have owned all of my KitchenAid appliances for over a year now and I have no complaints! This is the best fridge that I have ever owned. It seems like people only comment when they have something terrible to say.
Thank you for this video! I bought it and it came in today. I set it up and I'm waiting for the water to come thru the system now. I didn't know you can get more than 8 ounces of water, that's sweet! Thanks again! Oh I did notice you left blue tape behind the ice tray. It's the thing that tell the fridge not to make ice when it's pulled out lol
Owned this refrigerator 18 months and the circuit board went out. Out of warranty. $700 repair. Have to wait 4 months for a new circuit board. An ongoing complaint that Kitchen Aid is aware of, but won't acknowledge.
I have the same unit. Slow as hell to make ice. Max ice brings the production to tolorable but it resets every 12 hrs so you have to remember to reset it every day. We had to buy an extra ice maker to keep up with just two people. Like in many cases the "green" thinkers are very short sighted. Love the fridge orher than that.
Nice reviews on your KitchenAid stuff! How are you liking these KitchenAid products now? I'm about to buy new appliances and appreciate the real world use perspective.
Hey John, I’m glad that you enjoyed the reviews. My wife and I have owned the appliances for about 9 months now and we couldn’t be happier with our purchases. There are huge amounts of east to use features that set these units apart from the rest. The units all look pretty sharp too!
@@gochefgo Thanks, really appreciate you taking the time to respond! I think we are going to purchase KitchenAid too and it's great to hear other owners thoughts.
@@JohnScaneArt I don’t think that you will be disappointed with the machine. I believe that KitchenAid is going to become the foremost brand in kitchen appliances soon.
I love kitchenaid too. Unfortunately, we purchased a side-by-side counter depth refrigerator in late 2017 and last year the motor stopped working. Even though it was purchased in 2017, we only use our condo 4-5 months year (missed whole year during COVID). So only used not even two years. Will replace motor in July.
Hey thank you for this review! I noticed you got this a year ago, how has it been so far? Pros and cons? We are looking into purchasing this fridge . Thank you for this review!!!
I have this exact one and love it so far. And I’m very picky on my fridge. We did the whole kitchen and went with kitchen aid everything because of the luck we’ve had KA products in the past.
We just bought this refrigerator and mostly love it after having a Samsung for years. Were you able to get the leaking and ice build up fixed? I''m having the same issue and we've only had it for 1 week!
we just had a technician come out and he immediately said that the refrigerator was leaning slightly forward and sure enough with the level he showed me that it was. He adjusted the levelers in the front and hopefully this will resolve the problem here. If it continues I might have to try what you did. Can you post a picture of the gasket that you adjusted? Just in case. Thanks
I just noticed this evening that mine, which I've had a little over a month now, had that same ice buildip under the ice bin, so I'll have to try the remedies posted here & if all else fails call for a service tech to come out & have a look at it.
@@Apokalupsis88 It still sometimes gets the ice buildup under the ice tray, but not always. I can't figure out why it does it sometimes, but not others. Another thing I've noticed is I sometimes get water dripping down from the ice maker along the fronts of the shelves & ice buildup in the ice chute, that sometimes causes the icemaker to clog. I have to sometimes use a butter knife to knock the ice off of the front of the chute. I can tell it's doing it because the icemaker makes louder than normal grinding noises & then, I don't hear the ice dropping into the ice bin. Other than the icemaker issues, I love the refrigerator.
I have had this on order for 7 months. Maybe someday I will get it. In the meantime … thanks for the video. I notice you are constantly holding the left door. Will it not stay open on its own? I am imagining having a heavy casserole that requires two-hands to place in the fridge … so looks like that will be difficult if I also need to have a hand to keep the door open.
I ordered this fridge in Mid Oct. 2020 & it was finally delivered on 6/21/21, so I guess just have patience! I ordered all new KA kitchen appliances & everything came in separately & the fridge was the last thing to finally get here.
@@spurs5677 Yes, it's still working just fine. Had a few problems with the icemaker dribbling & icing up, but it's settled down into working OK for awhile now (knock on wood).
Dumb question: How do I change the freezer temp? The control panel won’t allow me to adjust it from 5 degrees F and everything is frozen and covered in ice 🤔
Have a Kitchen Aid refrigerator that is about three years old. Love the design and interior lighting. However, at just over one year it iced up in the refrigerator compartment due to a failed thermostat. Out of warranty about $250 repair. Now ice maker is not working. Water leaks into compartment freezing ice together. Seems to be out of sync. For now decided to buy ice in bags to fill the ice hopper which still operates. Not a solution for everyone but we have a older refrigerator in the garage to store the ice bags. I am not impressed with Kitchen Aid. After all it is a Whirlpool manufactured unit. I expected better but quality of new appliances is lacking. My old reliable 1972 GE side by side in the basement is my go to when all the new stuff fails.
Just got mine yesterday...it seems like a louder hum (when compressor is running) than the Samsung I got rid of...anyone else notice it? Also, dispenser for water does seem a bit loud as well.
I have the KRSF705HPS . This refrigerator is garbage. Do not buy unless you want a troop of shoulder shrugging repair men doing their best to apologize for the poor design. It freezes over and the door is defunct. KitchenAide / Whirlpool will only help if you pay them $40+/month after the $3K price tag. It's trash.
8/4/2021. I had this refrigerator delivered yesterday. How long did it take for yours too cool to 37 and 0?

Is your KitchenAid refrigerator always on or is there prolonged times when it turns off completely? thank you!
How do we I lower temperature on fridge temperature?
why didn't you take that piece of blue tape off the inside of the ice maker compartment? Is it supposed to stay there?
