The intro speech was Winston Churchill's famous "we shall fight them on the beaches..." speech that he made after Dunkirk and before the Battle Of Britain in 1940 - the song is about RAF pilots in the BoB of course. It's worth checking out the official video to hear the speech and the lyrics properly.
Bruce has already said in interviews that this song is one of the most difficult to sing live and that's why it's always the first on the set-list. Not to mention that this song is one of Iron Maiden's best
Iron Maiden is excellent liveband. They always deliver. Seen them 3 times. All times in Helsinki. Great reaction as always. You have beautiful smile Rachel❤. Greetings From Finland.
Bar none the best heavy metal band. Their performances at every concert leaves no one disappointed. He allows the crowd to sing and fully engage with all songs. Bruce’s energy is amazing plus the rest of the band. Nice to see you embrace this music and “ get it” like we did from the 80’s until present day. I’ll be there again in November here in Philly. Rae keep rocking to this music. You’re one of us 🤘🏻💯👊🏻
Best live band in the world I've had the pleasure of seeing them live 4 times the last time 1 year ago in July 23, they are still as full of energy as the 1st time I saw them in 1986, simply amazing.
This Flight 666 tour was in Australia in Melbourne, Victoria. I was there to see them in action!! They were spectacular!!!! Had a really good seat in the house!!!
So this footage is from the flight 666 documentary. It’s about their somewhere in time, power slave world tour and how they traveled through seven continents in just 45 weeks and just overall how legendary this tour was not only that, but it also shows Bruce Dickinson‘s double life as a commercial airplane pilot and how him and the band tours on their 757 Ed force one. It’s a great documentary and a great watch if you love iron maiden.
Vocals on youtube are a little lower for this song somehow. So For louder vocals and way more behind the scenes check out the full tour film from this Flight 666 dvd 🤘🤘
They are the most amazing Metal band live. I've seen them 3 times. Bruce is also an airline pilot and they own their own airliner. Flown by him for their tours
The algorithm brought me here, so let me help a bit. The voice-over intro is Sir Winston Chruchill. All the soundtracks in the world can never get the levels right. They adjust throughout the start of the show in order to compensate. And given the power of Bruce's voice, he probably clips the mic occasionally as well. Also, this is RUclips so you can't expect much. This is from their Somewhere Back In Time tour, where each song is taken from a different concert/country during the tour, and they use a little snippet from each place before each song. This tour was filmed for the documentary Flight 666. It was the first time they allowed so much off-stage filming as they've always been an extremely private band. But they were impressed with Sam Dunn's work on the documentary A Headbanger's Journey.
I loved your reaction. I feel that you have a very beautiful particular energy and it is pleasant to see you. I wanted to recommend that you not limit yourself to just seeing the post-2000 Maiden concerts. The current concerts are very overrated at this point and let me make it clear to you that I love the Maiden of the 2000s, but the one from the 80s is absolutely unbeatable . Young, fresh, powerful, innovative, rebellious. The best of the best. Concerts such as the Ruskin Arms and Live At The Rainbow from 1980, both Beast Over Hammersmith from 1982, Live After Death from the 84/85 tour, Rock In Rio from 1985 and Maiden England from 1988, are often despised by many "fans." " that only focus on the band's current live material, when the band's golden period was in the 80s. I would love for you to go to one of these legendary concerts in your next reaction. You will not regret it. Greetings!
The mic level is fine in the original recording. THings get lost in thousands of downloads and reuploads. Maiden has had epic live recording quality since the 80's. Anywho, of course they wear their own merch. They are Iron frigging Maiden. Who else's junk would you wear?
That background in the beginning was Winston Churhills apache, we will fight in the airs we will fight in the seas we will fight on land .... we shall never surrender. It was a speech from WE2
HAHA! so i have the Flight 666 dvd, and watched it... lats say more than once! As im watching this,, i immediately had same thought! He needs to be boosted. All that knows Iron M4iden, also knows, that that is a RARE issue! weird they didn't discover that under the soundcheck - HAHA
My wife and I saw this tour and like all their tours.. It was fantastic, my only issue was it was an outdoor pavilion and the sound wasn't as good as it is indoors The sound for some reason on youtube that you're watching not sure whats up w/ Bruce's vocals cause on the cd and DVD they're great.
I'm not aware of any other major musical act where the lead singer is also a licensed airline pilot who pilots their own jumbo jet around the world to the gigs. That counts for a few "cool" points right there. I get such a charge out of these guys as they're just a little older than me and the music, the performing, the recording, the touring - it's their job and they treat it as such. But in the documentary, you see that they're also middle aged guys who have families, play golf on their days off and who have kids that they nag to make sure they did their homework. MAJOR cool points, in my opinion...
so bruce dickinson has said that he roller skates while singing to build up his abilities. thats why he can run around the stage and never skip a beat and yeah his lung capacity
Trust me the live audience heard Bruce well. It's just hard to record live. This why i never really bought live albums so much. Except for Pantera's 101 proof live cuz that ship kills
Maiden crowds are just different, I’ve been to allot of shows and the crowd will get so loud it can rival the boys, it’s amazing so you won’t always get a perfect sound mix.
i started looking for a cure in the mid of the pandemic but i couldn't get any, nobody to help or reach a hand, absolut maddness couldn't find peace inside myself but then i found a solution... its really simple all you need is some self control and discipline really, with a steady pace and faith you also can do it! don't lose your faith, reading comments it's a real addiction, don't be afraid to ask for some help, be safe out there!
The video that I guess you could say is pretty much the music video is great, especially if you don't get what this song is about, because it pretty much explains it.
Someone once said (wish I could recall the source) that the definition of heavy metal was "Steve Harris's right hand." Watching him play bass is mesmerizing.
I have seen Iron Maiden since "The Number of the Beast" tour...Flight 666 is recorded from all over the World. Some of the songs could have been engineered better. Especially the vocals on "Aces High" (should have been turned up louder). Other LIve performances like Rock in Rio, Death on the Road, En Vivo! Live in Santiago, Made in England '88, A Real Dead Live One Just to name a few were recorded & engineered perfecto !!!
Flight 666 is not the best show for live vocals. Live at Hammersmith '82 is one of the best, but it's old and doesn't have the more recent songs. Rock 'n Rio is pretty good (better than F666). There's another good one (for live vocals) I can't remember off hand. Someone will probably suggest it soon. I was at Live After Death, but the vocals aren't good there either. Bruce never gets tired. He (in the past) flies the tour plane and then runs all over the stage during the show. Endless energy).
The intro speech was Winston Churchill's famous "we shall fight them on the beaches..." speech that he made after Dunkirk and before the Battle Of Britain in 1940 - the song is about RAF pilots in the BoB of course. They just pump me up so much. It makes me emotion
I fully recommend you watch the flight 666 documentary, it really shows how hard this band works and how far their reach is.
Bar none the best heavy metal band. Their performances at every concert leaves no one disappointed. He allows the crowd to sing and fully engage with all songs. Opening song of that tour. Saw them twice that tour, in Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. That tour was just perfect.

Solo is a holy moment, we dont talk or pause while there is a guitar solo...
2:07 in flight 666 they discuss this. The energy was off the charts! The stage is made of Bamboo. It was insane
It's not the mic, it's the video quality :) Great reaction, thank you!
You are out of control!!🤣🤪🙃 I saw this tour in Ohio. It was incredible.
Hell yeah, I literally just subbed yeaterday because of the Speed of Light reaction! And today we got another Maiden reaction. 😄
Vocals on youtube are a little lower for this song somehow. So For louder vocals and way more behind the scenes check out the full tour film from this Flight 666 dvd 🤘🤘
Another great reaction to a great song. Maiden never disappoint live. Up the Irons!
I was on the show of this tour here em Brazil, Iron Maiden live is an experience that I recomend to everyone who likes metal, Its super fun!

They are the most amazing Metal band live. I've seen them 3 times. Bruce is also an airline pilot and they own their own airliner. Flown by him for their tours
He was commercial pilot, too old now. They were leasing thw plane, did not own it.
Great band. More maiden ❤️

The best part of this reaction is the reactor snort near the end.

The pants matches the mask he wears during the song powerslave in that tour or DVD that resembles some mithilogicall bird.
The intro speech is most famous speech ever given. It was during WW2 by Winston Chruchill
Thank you, amazing reaction 🎉
The background voice recording you heard was Winston Churchill's radio address to England in the early days of WW2.
i just put my dvd and its definitely that recording the problem , the vocals were not lost in the mix in the actual dvd.
The most difficult song, very fast , very high, very harmonic
when the wild wind blows live en Chile...te recomiendo saludos Christian.
*Thanks for react on this video. Up The Irons From India. 🇮🇳❤️🤘🏻😇*

bruce has said he sweats about 3 31/2 liters a show. check him out on wasted years on the book of souls the last song of the show,
You should go see them
They are on tour this year

Great live band
Hello twitch gang
Trust me the live audience heard Bruce well. It's just hard to record live. This why i never really bought live albums so much. Except for Pantera's 101 proof live cuz that ship kills
I am pretty sure the JM Barrie version of Peter Pan is the evil version of Peter Pan already.
Si quieren ver una version superior vean aces high en chile ese mismo año 2009.
Rock in Rio 2010 is one of the better live recordings.
Nice reaction. I suggest you take a look at Iron Maiden "Phantom of the Opera" - Live at Ullevi
Maiden crowds are just different, I’ve been to allot of shows and the crowd will get so loud it can rival the boys, it’s amazing so you won’t always get a perfect sound mix.

❤❤
React a Iron Maiden - "The Book of Souls or The red and The black" live please ❤❤❤
It’s gonna be different but you should check out “Drowning” and “Wanna Be Loved” by The Red Clay Strays. So much soul in those songs
Back in the village
The best band of all time
Epic band
Hallowed be thy name or iron maiden from the same dvd flight 666
Recent maiden when they becam3 millionaires have their own wardrobes designers
Real rock bands wear their own concert shirts, because they just wake up and grab a shirt, no big fancy outfits packed for the tour.
more more maiden please
They didn't Knickname Bruce the Air Raid Siren back in the day for nothing
bruce also flew the plane ed force one.
Props to the bass player for not using a pick
Someone once said (wish I could recall the source) that the definition of heavy metal was "Steve Harris's right hand." Watching him play bass is mesmerizing.
And only plucking with two fingers 🤯
Not bad for late 50s rockers

Hello im from Indonesian
i saw M Night Shyamalan at 5:49
I had a thought, maybe you could try talking all the way through it, what do you think 🤔
Flight 666 is not the best show for live vocals. Live at Hammersmith '82 is one of the best, but it's old and doesn't have the more recent songs. Rock 'n Rio is pretty good (better than F666). Speaking during the solo .. :( lol
Winston Churchill
Little bit sacrilege speaking over Churchill's famous speech ;)
You don't interrupt Winston Churchills legendary speech,,,it's a great intro,
Do. Not. Talk. Over. The. Solos.
If you are watching a band, and they don't look like they are having fun, just leave - your money was wasted.
5:43 The New Solo: bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla FUN bla bla bla bla bla bla bla FUN bla bla bla bla FUN.....🤫
