I enabled the antilag feature through bootmod3 (stage 1 93oct) on my otherwise stock M40i just to check it out. Honestly, I didn't notice much, if any, quicker acceleration (hit the switch around 3500rpm in 3rd, 4th, 5th gears). I know you said you shouldn't use it with the stock downpipe, which I just learned here, but if I did, shouldn't I have felt a difference? Or does the stock dp hinder it from performing like I've seen in countless B58 antilag videos? I left the boost limit where Bootmod3 had it, I believe at 18psi.
For the uninitiated it's just an engine bay.. For us enthusiasts it is a way of life. Question for you.. How aggressive is the burbles setting for BM3 93 octane stage 1 tune ?
Burbles are the same across all stages, BM3 offers two different maps per stage per octane - Stage 1 93 and Stage 1 93 AGG. The AGG map will make your burbles loud, and depending on aggression (I’d recommend 5-9) will depend on the “loudness” of it.
Hey kern not sure if I missed it but what’s a okay psi range for me to run the anti lag, I’m only gonna use it once in a blue moon. Should I set it to maybe 12 psi?
Hi! I was wondering if you can help me with some questions/concerns. My f32 440i is stock right now with only BMW's mppsk on it. When I tune it, I plan on putting a VRSF catless downpipe with the m performance catback exhaust, the B58TU HPFP and running MHD stage 2+(HPFP) 93 Octane, and xHP Stage 3 for the Automatic trans. Do you recommend I use 93 Octane or use 94 octane which contains roughly 10% ethanol. I know its best to use the Octane the map is rated for, but the 94 Octane has 10 ethanol and I do not have access to any other ethanol fuel in my region. My car only has around 16K miles so I'm not worried about other things maintenance/upgrades likes spark plugs. Is there anything else I should do to prevent any issues, or are there any potential issues I might run into from daily driving the car like this; obviously I won't be aggressive driving all the time, mostly in comfort mode. I wanna make sure I'm not damaging anything and I've been addicted to your informative videos. Thanks for the help!
93 or 94 doesn't matter. Run logs to see which one works best. If your car already has mppsk then it already has the exhaust on it. Mperformance muffler would technically be a downgrade.
Do you have an update on when 2021+ Supra DME will be able to be tuned? I am watching all of your vids with the hope that the Supra B58 can benefit from your tech/upgrade advice soon.
@@kern417 Gotcha, sounds good. I’ve got a custom tune from Wedge performance through MHD, am I able to enable this feature through MHD directly or would I have to go through Wedge?
I apologize in advance of this is a stupid question, I’m a noob when it comes to cars. How do people make this loud pops and bangs when standing still? 2step/antilag. I’ve seen a car in neutral, rev his engine, and it was making loud pops for the time he had his foot on the gas.
10/10 as usual. Loving the random things in your engine bay lmao.
Random? This mans got the pop tune installed, 10hp gain min.
You are awesome dude, years later these videos are still extremely helpful and answer questions that can only be found deep in bimmer forums
I love these videos coming from someone with a mustang looking to soon get a 340i
Loving the content as always… more driving content please would really love to see more of your car on the road.
Will do
Thanks man, very nice explanation, I really did’nt know how it works. Best regards, your viedos are very usefulls for the B58 comunity.

Amazing vid, info and car. Instant sub

Waiting for that MG antilag 😏 but yeah i will only be doing this when racing or trying to have fun or set a PR

Is anti lag on a catted 200 cell downpipe a good idea? Or will ot blow out the cat?
Great video, but also yiu forget to mention the shock on the drivetrain, transmission, etc.

I have to wonder exactly how much more fuel and spark delay anti-lag adds, vs stock burble (supra).

I thought OBD flashing would be cracked by the end of the year but we're getting pretty close so I'm not sure. They're all working on it diligently
Is it bad using anti lag on stock charge pipe
Is this similar to launch control at a stop? How do you even do launch control? Do you need software or can a stock 340i do it?
a stock 340 can do it. but antilag/brake boosting from a stop will perform better
Any idea when MHD is going to add rolling anti-lag to their tuning platform?
Should be in the next few weeks. Sit tight.

So if i use antilag between shifts on 6mt i basically just flat foot shift while holding in antilag/cruise button? Tryin this
in theory but i'm not guaranteeing it works with the current software options.
Currently have catless dp and Mhd stage 2 on my b58. What psi should I have the anti lag on? Minimum is 5
Try different settings and see what works best for you
@@kern417 idk when it becomes safe tho, what do you think the max should be
Can anyone please answer, im trying to know if the anti lag is going to be available for the g30 540i?!
I just got word that it may in another week or two
Usefull on a stock turbo also? Running stage 2+ pwg n55
Yes
What's the difference between anti lag and brake boosting?
antilag doesn't use the brakes
you a bmw technician? or just well versed on b58s
I'm just an enthusiast that does a lot of research
Can i use antilag at one red light? When the car is complete stop ? Is it safe?
Should be able to.
Just out of curiosity can you use this antilag when In neutral or park?
@@JJ-qs7ck yes you can i already try it

2-step/antilag
Is it safe to use antilag with methanol injection activated by boost?
Not ideal. You'll want another safety. Maybe rpm.
You'll really have to test and tune for it appropriately
What turbo did you install?
ruclips.net/video/CbNT2fbErVU/видео.html
Can't you just get the same result by brake boosting
Very informative and personally I don’t think it’s healthy for the engine. I’m not going for it.

Anti lag will destroy youre car if you abuse
can you use the bootmod antilag in a dig ?
You should be able to
