    Excellent. I was just trying to capture a pano shot the other day but I couldn't get it right. Now I know what to do. Thanks!

    Thank you Kamil for this guide to Panorama. Good to know how the Mavic 2 works with Panorama.

    Thanks for a quick and easy explanation. Do you get equally good stitches if you bring more than 2 rows into the light room? Have you tried taking 2 panoramas with different exposures and then blending them to get the right light on light and dark areas? Greetings from Norway.

      Hey Ruben, thanks for the comment, I appreciate that! I usually prefer stitching only two rows but I think stiching the 3rd one should work just fine. I did recall stitching even more than 3 rows however not from a drone but my old DSLR - so Lightroom is definitely capable of that. Taking two panos with different exposure settings would 100% work - Lightroom has a „merge HDR panorama” feature. Just select all relevant photos from both panos and it will do the rest! Fly safe and greetings from Poland 😊

    You can definitely save in DNG format and you got multiple DNG its under save original panorama settings but its either JPEG or DNG you can't save both formats

      My mavic pro is saving both extensions. I make my dng panoramas with photoshop.

    Is there any way to adjust the highest and lowest images? I would like to do the top 2/3rds of the pano from the horizon on up to the upper limits of the gymbal.. Thank you!

    • @kamilkp
      @kamilkp  4 года назад +1

      Hmm, not that I’m aware of. Just shoot a standard pano with the horizon in the middle and crop in post to reframe. You will have plenty of resolution to crop with panoramas. Or you can just manually shoot those individual images and stitch by hand in Lightroom. Hope it helps!

      If you use the standard DJI app then you cannot control what pictures are taken. But if you use alternative apps to control the drone to take panoramic photos then you can have it take pictures higher angle up. mavic 2 pro can go up to +30 degrees, but that assumes it's not windy so the drone is horizontal.

    Thanks for this great tip! However, i do not have Lightroom as a casual photography enthusiast. What other similar or simple-enough photo editing software you would recommend.

      Can’t recall any now which means I cannot really recommend anything. But I remember having problems with stitching night sky panoramas in Lightroom and I have been using some freeware programs dedicated to panorama stitching. So you can definitely find something if you google it.

    Have you take 26? photos of it and stitch in PTGui to do a 360 paranorma?

    • @kamilkp
      @kamilkp  4 года назад

      Nope, never tried it. I’m not a fan of 360 panos honestly.
