I have planet zoo on steam and loved it. However, my pc was an aging man with one foot in the grave, the other on a banana peel. It went a few years ago lol. I tried geforce now, which was ok, but kinda annoying especially with a que. So glad its on console now so I can enjoy it again. Edit: also, welcome back lol.
Ultimate is $159.99 in Canada, but I'm such a fanboy of zoo simulator games I'll be dropping that in a heartbeat for all the DLC when it becomes available.

I just bought it for xbox and hooked my mouse and keyboard to my xbox. Works like a dream. I wanted to buy it for pc, but my computer couldn't handle the game, unfortunately.

Picked up the delux version. Love this kind of games and soo far I'm very impressed of how good this game is. It's very unique. Campaign or career mode is a good way to start and think strategically when placing stuff.

Good question. Yes, it’s definitely worth it, there won’t be a planet zoo sequel anytime soon so this will be the best zoo game for a while I think. Also remember there will be one more brand new dlc very soon!
I highly suggest pre-ordering/ordering the Deluxe Edition pack. It has all the animals you need for your parks. But I also recommend Standard Pack if you don't have any experience with Planet Zoo at ALL. Plus, it's less money coming out of your wallet. I don't recommend the Ultimate Edition because, come on, look at that price

Then again, i am pretty sure most people who like the game will put at least 120 hours in. Then it will be worth the price. Thats how I always decide if I buy a game or not. In the pc version I am already at 180 hours and nowehere near done

Yes, as far as i know you will get access to those 2 DLC's as soon as you are able to play. As for the rest they will be drip fed, meaning we'll probably get 1 released each month

I want the ultimate edition, however, when I played planet coaster on console my theme park build limit capped out at around 10 percent of the available build space so if that happens again our zoo will have no space for all the extra animals

I would expect the dlc to go on offer after everyone has been released in a years time personally. They will want to push upgrades to the season pass I think.

No worries, you could buy each of the DLCs individually as they are released throughout the coming year. However this will cost 1.5X more than buying them in the season pass bundle which can also be purchased on its own to add to the base game from release day. Hope this helps.
I've been waiting years for this game to come to console! I was a huge fan of the original zoo tycoon when i was a young teen, and kept going back to it as I got older. These days I love building parks in Jurassic world evolution 2. Anyone know how much the season pass will cost separately? Or if the 3 pre order species will be unobtainable after launch? I'd love to buy the ultimate edition but not sure if i can afford the price tag. Might have to get the deluxe and financially recover before i buy the season pass.

I understand that this game is really good (i have it on pc) but as someone who just prefers playing on a console I still think none of the editions are worth it really. I believe it will be a highly watered down version of a brilliant game. How does the season pass work? Is every dlc guaranteed? Does it cost the same when you buy it when the game is released as when you pre-order it. How does it work?
The season pass will guarantee access to all DLCs. The DLCs will be released every few months to encourage people who don’t have the season pass to buy them individually. The people who have the season pass will then have access to each of the DLCs as they are released at no extra cost. The game will most likely cost the same during preorder and on release day. Many people have had this problem, your DLC's will have likely been ready to download but not automatically downloaded in your game library. Really sorry for the confusion and difficulty.

No worries, you could buy each of the DLCs individually as they are released throughout the coming year. However this will cost 1.5X more than buying them in the season pass bundle which can also be purchased on its own to add to the base game from release day. Hope this helps.
I've been waiting years for this game to come to console! I was a huge fan of the original zoo tycoon when i was a young teen, and kept going back to it as I got older. These days I love building parks in Jurassic world evolution 2.
Anyone know how much the season pass will cost separately? Or if the 3 pre order species will be unobtainable after launch? I'd love to buy the ultimate edition but not sure if i can afford the price tag. Might have to get the deluxe and financially recover before i buy the season pass.

I understand that this game is really good (i have it on pc) but as someone who just prefers playing on a console I still think none of the editions are worth it really. I believe it will be a highly watered down version of a brilliant game. I would really like to hear other peoples opinion on the matter of which features will be implemented in the console version oppose to the pc version

It is expected that like PC most likely they may be purchased at a later date however i wouldn’t count on it

How does the season pass work? Is every dlc guaranteed? Does it cost the same when you buy it when the game is released as when you pre-order it. How does it work?
The season pass will guarantee access to all DLCs. The DLCs will be released every few months to encourage people who don’t have the season pass to buy them individually. The people who have the season pass will then have access to each of the DLCs as they are released at no extra cost. The game will most likely cost the same during preorder and on release day. I'm uneasy about buying this game. They released planet coaster. Dropped only a few DLC packs then stopped supporting the game.
Im more confident now that we have the guarantee of the season pass granting access to all DLC

The deluxe version does not give you those I got it and it didn’t get me those I had to buy them
Many people have had this problem, your DLC's will have likely been ready to download but not automatically downloaded in your game library. Really sorry for the confusion and difficulty.
