I honestly think of all the Robins Tim is most certainly the best. Because in a way he can and can’t relate to Bruce. He didn’t loose his parents until later in life. But he still has that drive to be a hero because of his detective skills. I personally do hope the Titans show does stay true to this and doesn’t make him a Jason knock off like the animated series did.
I think there’s a strong argument for Tim as the best Robin, for sure. It always helps to be a self starter (like Carrie). I need to catch up on my Titans, but Jay certainly seems like a promising choice. Thanks for watching! 🦇
After Batman RIP, and the subsequent Battle for the Cowl series, Bruce was presumed dead, Dick Grayson was Batman and Damian Wayne was put in the Robin role. Unconvinced that Bruce was indeed dead, Tim Drake searched for Bruce using the name Red Robin, with an outfit that looked like Dick Grayson's Kingdom Come outfit.
YAY, you're back!! I'm just now noticing the Ramones-like logo. I like that Alfred's being mentioned as a key link and part of the triumvirate. I know you didn't like the 60s tv series, but I grew up watching it, and always dug Alfred. (And I love that in Queer As Folk, they pick the name Alfred for the baby in part "because he was Batman's butler.") You may have already covered this but I guess I didn't realize that Robin's costumes would be redesigned. Interesting. What I find puzzling about his physique is that he's so ripped. Seems unrelatable for the Boy Wonder to be so buff. Surprised to hear the Robin issues sold so well, but it's undoubtedly true that this was a character the reader could more identify with. Other than the buff thing perhaps, at least for some. Oh man, the blueprints for his car with it's own surface to air missile. WOW, had zero idea Paul Reubens was in any Batman films. How freaking cool is that? Love that original 1940 cover! Enjoyed this, and glad to see you're back and kicking it as always..
I'm always so appreciative that you take the time to watch so closely. I love that Ramones logo parody too, and I don't dislike the 60s TV show; I think I have at least an appreciation for every Batman, I just disliked it's legacy for a while, because it's all anyone knew of Batman or even comic books for a really long time. Now that comic book movies and shows are so popular, it's looked back at as simply one interpretation of a character that has gone in lots of different directions, but prior to that, 60s Adam West was the entirety of what people knew about Batman. I love that there's such a strong Paul Rubens/Batman connection too. He played The Penguin's father on two separate occasions like 25 years apart! Thanks for watching, as always.
I mean, for the nineties he’s not that buff most of the time, especially under the pen of Todd Nauck and Tom Grummett. He was meant to be smaller than others because he’s this kid in a world of crazy big guys. I hate it in rebirth and new 52 when they made him a lumberjack when he was younger than he was before the reboot and drawn bigger.
“Tim Drake is the quintessential Robin…”
I love it!

Welcome back! I've been waiting for this one in particular, my favorite Robin.
I really hope you dig it! Thanks for watching and for your patience. 🦇🦇🦇
I wouldn't say any other title beyond Robin for Tim Drake would be unfitting. I thought Red Robin worked fine. Drake on the other hand...
Red Robin just seems too samey to me. Too much of a compromise. But we can both agree; Drake was a bad move 😂
Thanks for watching!
Wait. So how did he become Red Robin?

Tim is fucking amazing!!!! Also, you forgot that Dc made him Bisexual and he has a boyfriend.
Didn’t forget, so much as when I made the video it hadn’t happened yet. But I agree, he’s pretty amazing.
Early gang.
