Honestly I wouldn't mind having Ace in a serious movie. I think he would actually work pretty well in the Matt Reeves universe that they're trying to make because it would be kind of cool that Batman would have a police hound companion of sorts to help him sniff out stuff like drugs and stuff.

I would also be way into that. I think the most recent version of Ace could totally fit in that world. I can see where it might be a hard sell for some people--but is it any more out there then a guy dressed as a bat punching our criminals? Thanks for watching!

Also, he appeared in the DC animated universe in one of the movies. I might be wrong, maybe his name wasn't ace, but I remember Damian standing along side a Great Dane. Not sure which movie, but it was the last one (Justice Leage Dark Apokolips War) or one the Batman ones (Most likely Batman vs Robin or Bad Blood)

Totally. Damian's dog is in 4 of the DC Animated Universe films: Judas Contract, Death of Superman, Hush and Apokolips War. But I didn't mention it in the video because it's Titus, not Ace. Sort of the same character, but then they made them two different dogs. 🤷🏻‍♂️😅
      Thanks for watching and commenting!

I really enjoyed the Batman Urban Legends story, I hope Chip Zdarsky can have that version on his current run.

Indeed! Zdarsky’s run has been really fun with referring back to older stories, so Ace would fit right in.

You flat out have excellent narration/storytelling skills, if no one's ever told you. You just do. A flippin' natural. Coupled with your respect for the subject matter, and the careful, painstaking crafting of the whole thing, bit by bit ... the result is just a pleasure to watch. Haven't seen a video here yet that I was bored by.
Okay, well this one was going to be a favorite given the subject. A good boy indeed. I had no idea about the Seduction of the Innocent stuff. Wow. Reminds me a bit of the Orson Welles Halloween radio thing. Psychologically homosexual. Funny how the panicky types always get around to blaming the gays. The image of the soon-to-be-bonfire pile of comics - nuts. Did you notice the woman in the foreground is holding a copy of Weird Science? That is beautiful.
Oh god, I love the newspaper ad - "Found - dog - apply to Bruce Wayne". Apparently everyone would know where he lives.
Oh, the absolute best thing is that we get to hear Ace's thoughts. And he says "gee". Fabulous.
I actually love that they did this. It makes perfect sense to have an animal buddy to help with crime solving and apprehending baddies. I prefer him as a German Shepard, and not fire breathing, though.
    90s spoiler featuring Pearl Jam!!!!!!
I like Ace and Titus hanging out together.
Partner vs owner - that's the way it should be.
Don't care for the CGI dogs much. It's just too cartoony and annoying.
Thanks again! Keep up the great work!

I’m always very grateful for the time you take to watch and comment, to say nothing of the tremendous support you’ve given the channel of late.
I think German Shepard Ace is probably my favorite as well, and when a personality is shown, I like it when it sort of mirrors Batman’s, because that’s kind of what dogs do.
As for Wertham, I like to hope we’re now in at least a slightly more tolorent time where stuff like this wouldn’t happen, but other times I’m not so sure.
DC SuperPets was fun (Marc Maron as Lex Luthor!) but I wish they hadn’t strayed from the comics so much.
      Thanks again!
