Hi! Very informative video. Have a question, i have a deactivated octopus card. Is there a place in HKIA where i can have them reactivated?
I'm not sure if the MTR desk can provide support for this, but there are MTR counter services located in the transportation area.

Great Video. I have one question: If I buy the octopus card is there enough money on it to use the bus to get to kowloon? Or do i need to top it of with cash (which I want to exchange later & not at the airport).
Hi! There is enough money on it, so you don't need to top up for the bus. The Octopus selling machine costs 150 HKD, which includes a card fee of 50 HKD and already has 100 HKD topped up for use. The bus to the city is around 40 HKD.

@@fritzdlf5490 Hey. So I was in HK in September and one easy way to not use cash for buying the octopus card is downlaod the app (octopus) on your phone over the app store. You can then top it up with money ober your credit card and you just tap your phone everytime when you go on a bus train etc.
hello, i have a random question, I arrived in Hong Kong in the middle of the night and decided to save money by spending the night at the arrival hall in the airport. Are there any chairs available for sleeping?
I didn't recognize the zone that provide comfortable rest chairs for sleeping.
But there are some chair for take a rest in both 1st floor and 3rd floor.
Also, there are some café and restaurant to take a rest; "McDonald 3rd floor", "Can-teen 3rd floor", "Starbuck 3rd floor", and "Pret 1st floor".

Very informative video for arrival. Is the Octupos card purchased from the Klook website refundable? Could we just buy a tourist sim card in the airport or buy it from Klook. Thanks

no need to buy an Octopus card. All restaurants and ticket machines accept cash.

Yes, there are charging area in both the Arrival Hall (1st floor) and Departure Hall (2nd floor).
If you have trouble finding them, you can ask the staff at the information center located at the center of the floor.

Haii.. can i buy octopus card at seveneleven? is the airport's service counter open until midnight?
Octopus card isn't sell in 7/11, but you can top-up card at 7/11.
I'm not sure about open hour of service counter but I believed that it open 24 hr.

Hello may I know place to stay in HKIA while im in transit? My flight transit in HKIA around 12/13 hours
There are resting areas available in the transit area that provide shower facilities and comfortable chairs. Additionally, there are various airport lounges to choose from.
If you prefer to stay at a hotel, there are several options close to the airport, such as the Regal Airport Hotel (which you can reach from Terminal 1 in just two minutes) and the Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott Hotel.

Can you tap tou phone to buy things or you must have octopus card?
You can link octopus card with your iphone in apple wallet to tap the phone to buy thing. (you have to buy octopus card and link the card as per instruction in apple wallet)

Is the currency exchange and 7-eleven open 24 hours? I'll be arriving at midnight and it will be my first time there. So, I'm worried.
There is a Travelex currency exchange counter open from 07:00 to 23:00. If the counter is closed, there are ATM machines where you can deposit money in Hong Kong currency. Additionally, 7-11 are open 24/7.
I want to assure you that Hong Kong is a country with convenient travel and transportation.

It depends on your lifestyle. Therefore, I have provided estimated prices for various items:
Breakfast: 30 - 60 HKD
Restaurant Meals: 50 - 150 HKD
Street Food: 20 - 80 HKD
Bus: 5 - 50 HKD (depending on the destination)
Tram: 3 HKD
MTR: starting from 5 HKD (you can check exact fares on the official website www.mtr.com.hk)
Water: 7 - 15 HKD
(prices for normal lifestyle.)

Octopus tourist card is non-refundable.
However, if you want to have a refundable Octopus card, you can purchase at MTR station

This is probably very late but incase for the future you most affordable would definitely be the mtr but if you don’t care about the cash taxi is always the way to go the buses ive actually not been on that much but yea. Its also considered cheap according to the video. Hope this helps

Me and my 4 colleagues will arrive at HK airport and been thinking to ride big car to our hotel in causeway bay.
Uber is available in Hong Kong, and you can request a pick-up at the airport in parking zone (a short walk from terminal). For transportation to Causeway Bay, I recommend taking a bus, as it's the most convenient way to reach it from the airport, with cost around 40 HKD per person.
In Causeway Bay, there is an outstanding dim sum restaurant with tasty taste located beside the main street. If you have the chance, don't miss it!

@@user-dt8gr4kc4e the last time I visit (6 months ago) I use Uber. If you are with big group and carry big suitcases, Uber is a good choice. Simple, fast, no need to wait, comfortable, and drop off without any hassle. But if you are traveling alone, Uber is quite pricey. There are many other options tho. The most popular one is by Airport Express if I am not mistaken

I will have a trip to macau after landing in HK via Skypier (ferry)...It seems I will not go to immigration, can I buy on loan octopus card in HKIA area before immigration? If I could, where is the location? many thanks before
It seems like there is only one place to buy an Octopus card in HKIA, which is located after immigration. However, you can still use cash to purchase tickets or items in Hong Kong without an Octopus card. I apologize for the lack of information.

My dumbass got lost in this airport
Terrible airport no where to find a place to charge phone , hard to find food and no where to find beers at & i converted 20 USD to Hong Kong money and couldnt afford a small charger 🤦♂️ information desks werent good on trying to find gate trust me this airport is annoying youll be glad once you leave it just a heads up.
There is food. McDonald's, and also, you have to charge ur phone before u leave home. If you don't remember to, just bring a powerbank with you! The airport design is atleast great and huge.
