ABOUT ME:
Kevin Kuo (pronounced “quo” as in status quo) is an endodontist and content creator.
What are your thoughts on the future of endodontics? Do you for see root canals becoming obsolete from stem cell tooth regeneration? Will implants ever completely negate root canals?
Future is bright in endodontics. It's a profession more biologically based, rather than mechanically based like traditional dentistry. There is potential for big improvements in the future. Root canals will be our primary means of treatment for several more decades until regenerative endodontic procedures are further developed. Implants are important dental procedures as well. Just in different circumstances compared to root canal treatment, in my opinion.
@@KevinDental Thanks for the response Kevin! I am a first year dental student. Your videos are great. I really enjoyed the student debt series. I would love to see more videos going into the financial side of dentistry. Dental students don't receive much exposure to it and have to figure it out on our own. How to start up a practice, management tips, location choices, and dealing with insurance. Maybe even your thoughts on how the future of health insurance will affect the field. Thanks again, I will keep watching your channel!
Can I ask how hard is finding a job as a just graduated dentist compared to other professions? Considering I would not have money to run my own office. I think just dentist can respond. Thank you in advance.
You will find a job for sure. It's just a matter of how busy, the fit, and location.
@@KevinDental thank you.
