I’ve only just entered high school (starts @ Gr. 8 in india) and I’m dying due to shifting my syllabus (CBSE-ICSE) AND shifting my school. School being online worsens this, tbh. But oh well, I’m willing to work hard and smart so we’ll see where this goes.
Accounting student here, and I'm a visual learner but it is hard for me to implement a mind map technique since it's based on analyzing numbers and calculating, computing, but also memorization of terms. I've been studying and using techniques more of Feynman's, spacing effect, Dual Thinking. I might try The immersion technique, and I'm also going to start using mnemonics. Having a bit of trouble sometimes understanding topics because it gets confusing but after like 2 - 4 days of re-studying it, I understand it, and re-answer the problems that is based on those topics in 1 - 2 weeks and move on. You're videos have helped me to be honest even though I've watched only a couple. They're very informative and I will apply what I think will help me to learn better, faster, and not forget in the long-term. Thank you so much! I subscribed and will try to watch more of your videos once I get time to youtube.
Start by differentiating which content is logical (to be understood - ie. What is the difference between covalent & ionic compound? ) and which is to be memorized (SI prefixes) . The moment you have a clear distinction of these 2 types, you will be able to apply the correct study techniques. Understand and then do practice problems for the content to be understood. Use flash cards or other memory techniques for the info that needs to be memorized. All the best with your science courses!
