As someone who is somewhat new to filming with iPhone - I am wondering whether you would consider a tutorial video or advice on how to finalise a final cut pro project that would have used both an anamorphic lens, and a telephoto one such as the moment 58 mm during the filming process? How would one combine both types of footage so that they visually match on the final combined footage - given that they create different aspect ratios during filming?
Thanks for watching! That's definitely something I can have a think about. Will take a little time to play around with those aspect ratios in the same project but will see how it comes together. I actually thought about this whilst holding the tele next to the anamorphic lens so you never know.
While shooting with the tele, make sure you shoot a little far from the object so that you can crop the video and match with the 2.39:1 ratio in post production.
Hi bro, unfortunately here in Spain there is no seller for moment gear, nor in Amazon, so the only option is to import them right from Moment website, what makes it more expensive. I use 3rd party anamorphic lens and I would like to compare the quality of them together. As you say both the aspect ratio and the flares are really cool, but the flares are better when the point of light is a spot, if you point to a big square led commercial in the street... you get a huge height flare... what does not look fine, did you try with yours? And last question... do you still record in flat or did you try logv3 as I told you previous? Hughs my friend!
Ah yes the postage for probucts from the U.S can be crazy unfortunately. I haven't filmed a big led commercial with this lens yet so will have to try that. For films I often record in flat but for these types of videos I shoot in Natural profile.
I am sure they'll have a summer sale of some sort. It's a really great lens. Moment's website should detail that the lens is compatible with the 14 pro max.
The lens actually attached to the moment case that they also sell. If you search Samsung S21 phone case on the Moment website I am sure they’ll have one so you can then attach the lens. Also any rig with a bayonet mount can be used for these lens’.
