I like it a lot, especially the fact that there are no cross braces showing through the stretch cover with the up-light, Awesome!
Very very cool. I like how there's no cross pattern shadows. Someone asked if the bars come in several sizes, and yes they do as Brian mentioned, but be careful putting the truss covers over them because they can get more easily snagged on the truss pins.
Only thing I do different Brian is I use a rubber mallet when tapping the pins into place I use to use a hammer but they began to get all beat up. Nice looking with a sock for moving heads! Thanks for the video Brian... :)

This looks very good - without the braces is a great look
I like the look, but I think I like the the I-Beam totem a little better. Some poeple don't like the criss-cross patterns, but I think they give it some character. Also, having some cross members give the uplight something to reflect off of. If I had the dough, I would buy both and offer it two different styles of decor lighting. More and more of my clients are looking for something more artistic and this gives a nice change from the ordinary totems. Good Video!

Hi Brian. I built some of these towers about a year and a half ago, they are a great feature of my DJ set, I cant afford flash ali poles so we used poles from a gizeebo. always liked your vids keep it coming. got some good advise from them. thanks.

Sure! It's nothing I would recomend for a structual colum but as a moving head totem, absolutely! I'd use a largerbase plate but if you tap your pins in propperly it isn't going anywhere
I love it! Very classy looking, and could probably be approximated with PVC pipe. Couldn't put a moving head on top the PVC, though :(
Curious -- what does this setup look like with a different light under the sock, like maybe a micro hypnotic laser? I had some good luck with a pair of micro hypnotics on a facade.
What about a micro royal galaxian or even a small moving head like a caged beast? I don't think this experiment is over!

That's kind of hard to say. You'd have to price it out with the dealer. As of now, GTA isn't priced out with things like MAP pricing

Yeah it's just a different look. If you are going to warm the truss without a truss cover, at least a tadder truss totem is the way to go

Looks like you can make that out of PVC for a cheaper, lighter, easier to transport build... Not like it needs to support any weight.
I have the same question. Have you tried mounting a TV onto it? I feel there won't be anything for the clamps to "rest" on like they would with box or I-beam trussing so I may not go for these since I'll definitely have TVs to mount soon
I'm finding it to be cheaper by about $300 for 2 6ft tube truss stands vs the equivalent size box truss.
The light spread would be pretty uneven
hi hows it going i have another idea for you. can you put 2 i beam truss to a JBox to make it look like a box truss for hanging lights.?
