Smashing little pattern Mak. I tied a few of the green versions of this using the ostrich herl from one of your previous tutorials and had very good results with it

Excuse me. I saw your answer to Maks chironomed pattern in green. Do you fish in the western US? I’m wondering if they would work there. Thank you! Tight lines🕷️🐛🐜!!!!

@@robertperman8967 Hi there, unfortunately I am not Stateside. If you are fishing lakes or even some Stillwaters especially where there are overhanging trees or bushes then I would certainly recommend giving this pattern a go. Try a few different hook sizes and shank styles too. That was my area of aim and I have had a lot of success. Some I used with a small hot spot on the thorax for those more overcast days. Pimp float / strike indicators used dependant on depth and speed of the water and I did find tying them to my tippet with a small perfection loop gave better results having more movement in the water. To be honest I now use a small perfection loop with my static buzzers too.,Hope that helps pal.

I'm very impressed and interested in getting into. 2 questions if you don't mind.
Where do yo get the sheet lead from, and what is the thick rubber that you stretch? I'm want to dress hooks on the tail end of pike lures, do you have any ideas what I could try?
Thank you for sharing, take care my friend.
