That would be great. Would love to design a hinkle shallow crank bait. With a special Hinkle color. Matt hoping in time you will let a local NY fisherman into the family. I loved the vid.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing someone in from not just Southern CA, but San Diego! There is so much here and so little content for this area if the country and milder climates
Thumbs up for the addition of Adam to the TacticalBassin Family… the reason I love y’alls videos is the why, when, where, and how that is put into them… and Adam did a really good job of doing that… especially at the end… Looking forward to more of those great videos… 👍😎
It's awesome to get some Socal tips and techniques. Socal fishing is definitely different than most fisheries in the U.S. Thanks Matt for the Dbl. Tail grub Jig video. Caught one that day.
I grew up in San Diego but I didn't have any fishing buddies to go to the lakes with. I also didn't have RUclips available at my fingertips to help me learn how to fish. I hope one day I can have a boat and travel across the country hitting up childhood lakes and other bucket list lakes. I didn't know the Hinkle's were from California, nonetheless from San Diego but I shouldn't be surprised. Glad to see a San Diego boy representing the Tactical Bassin family
I've seen 16-pound salmon and even 16-pound steelhead trout, but a 16-pound largemouth bass is hard to imagine. GEEZ, what a PB for Adam! I am so intrigued by Cali bassin'.
Awesome video and Welcome Aboard.... I Love the extra POV. You can tell he is a detail guy when he said he builds most of his own rods. Thanks Mat and Tim.
Impressive, but I should've expected that knowing you guys. I was impressed by his level of knowledge for a younger guy. I'm an older angler (mid 70s). He was using a lure that I recently hit on. Glad to see someone reviewing it on the water more or less. Thanks for the bonus video.
Awesome video and welcome Adam to the family. I'm a San Diego native and have been fishing that lake for almost 35 years. Great to see San Diego lakes represented for the great fishing opportunities they present.
San Diego... I know those lakes hold big fish. I remember Perris had giants in the 90s and 2000s. Good to see Southern California action on this platform!
That was a very cool video welcome Adam. He stayed with us at the Us open . I had the pleasure of him teaching me a new technique that got me bit with a 4+ smallie. Definitely a welth of fishing knowledge!!!
It's something I have tied on all year around. By far one of the best things sided crankbaits on the market in my opinion. Stop and go retrieve is fire.
Hello again Adam. I have seen you from time to time. I am originally from So Cal (Santa Clarita) but my fishing has always been limited to Castaic, Casitas, Peru, and Pyramid. I have heard about some great fishing in Otay, San Vicente, Barrett, Henshaw and El Cap among many others. Nice to see some content from So Cal.
Thank you! Thank you! Matt and tim, I've been following you guys since forever. I live an hour away from the lakes in san diego. Thus us really gunna teach and help me figure out theses lakes. I know your asked all the time but if your in the san diego area, hit me up. Really, thanks for this.
I've got the same rod and love it, I agree you don't lose fish on trebles. I'm nearly all mhx rods at this point from bfs to big swimbaits. I've found a lot of benefit in building my own rods
Awesome. Nice of you to support your friends and great to see how your knowledge is applied here in SoCal. Never heard of the hinkle family. It’s crazy how you could literally be right down the street from fellow RUclipsrs and not know they exist. RUclips recommendations just confuse me lol. But some really great intel and Bassin. Tim , Matt, and Adam, nice Job 🔥💪🏻🤙🏻
Love to see the tactical family growing! I have learned so much from you guys and caught so many good fish from using your methods and tricks. I look forward to learning more from Adam!
Adam Before watching the video , I’d previously commented thinking you’d joined the guys in Tennessee. Oh well . I miss San Diego fishing , so thank you for bringing it to me. Great work. Good seeing you , and good luck . Looking forward to more content from you Tight lines
@ yeah Adam is a great fisherman and an even better human haha. Seeing him on your channel is awesome since I'm a local San Diego big bass guy as well. Pretty darn cool, hope to see him more 😎.
That was fantastic. I learned something new like size of reel and why. I like the Saturday edition. It would be cool if he came to Havasu too Thx guys.
Good to see someone on the TB team out in the southwest. Love to see some content on the Colorado river system. Mead Mohave Havasu and lower at Martinez. Good video
I'm in the Bay area in California I've been watching tactical bassin for about a month and a half since I started trying to pick up fishing so I'm really excited to have a California angler on the channel definitely going to help me out
Welcome to the Tactical Family, Adam is going to be a great resource for you! You're new enough, you probably don't know that we both grew up in Norcal. All of the info is relevant to you 👍🏼 Matt has caught 10+ lbers out of many of the bay area lakes, so we fully understand the conditions you face daily.
@@tacticalbassin ayee I did not know that! That's awesome 😁 I've been loving the content. I have been diving in deep and enjoying every minute. I haven't caught any fish yet just bank fishing all over the bay to try out different lures and retrieves. I saved up for a really good JDM travel rod because of you guys drilling in the fact that the rod is more important than the reel and I'm working on saving for a good reel and buying used tackle off fb marketplace 😂 (out of work from a car accident so my budget is super tight but I was going crazy just sitting at home)
Hey guys, great video! Watching it this morning you said Hinkle… I thought trout and I didn’t have that big swim bait. It was nice seeing them throw a flat side same color that I’ve been throwing recently beautiful rocks, and land in California unique to see here in Georgia and it was a pleasurekeep kicking butt double digit only
I live in socal as well fish perris dvl a lot glad to see one of your team guys in so cal glad to hear 👍 I have heard of him but never met him as of yet
A socal guy was a MUST, and Adam was the clear choice. He's a hammer in the region, understands modern angling as well as all the history of Socal bass fishing, and he can articulate it clearly. He's going to be a great addition 👍🏼
Those Boss jig heads are a sleeper on TW! I have a 3700 thin with about 8-10 different heads and a bag of DJ skirts for the “build a jig” moments on the water! The Brent ehler ball head a great hook.
I wish I got into bass fishing earlier in life. Born and raised in San Diego but only bass fished for a few years before moving to the north east. Biggest I landed while living there was a 7 pounder post spawn. Would have been an 8+ pre spawn. Lost what was probably a double at the boat at Dixon. Definitely a heart breaker. Out here a 8 pounder is a great fish.
Matt, I really liked what Adam had to say about his techniques where he was fishing. I do have a question ,can he include water temperature in locations where he’s fishing for my consideration? I also really like the idea that Adam is fishing reservoirs similar to what I would fish, these deep reservoirs on the West Coast. Keep up the good work the idea that you have there with including more individuals into the tactical family sounds great I’ll keep listening.
I am very excited to see the entire Tacticalbassin family. I love seeing other people that are Hammers using different lures and other tactics. Just gave me an excuse to buy some new lures. LOL Hey Adam do you think that on your first day catches that the bass were trying to pin the bait to the bottom before they ate it? Just guessing from the way they were hooked because Matt has mention this before. Thank you
Possibly with a couple of them, but with the bait being up off the bottom for more than half of the bites, I wouldn’t bet on that being the main reason
Omfg! Yes! Plz! I'm about to start building rods. Having someone trust worthing (hopefully nonsponsered for integrity purposes) to speak on blanks would be so helpful! Internet reviews can be helpful, but also unhelpful depending on articulation skills. 😂
Yes, Matt detail and articulation are key! It's what makes Matt the best fishing teacher in the world! Plus, the culmination of understanding the new TV industry. The best video demo of electronics (Johnny is really good, too), topographics, behavioral demos, fun editing, different video formats, etc... I remember being young in the 90s and watching bass shows and never really getting, while always wanting to know all the reasons WHY? Why a spinnerbait today when a black worm worked last show. Why the rocks instead of the trees this day to that... The truth is that a ton of natural sports are imperfect sciences. Bass have individualism and personality like all other creatures, and this sport is INCREDIBLY difficult to articulate!
Dang, I just came in from the lake. I only spent about an hour out there this morning waiting for the sun to come up tossing a jig. Through lipless got it hung up. Started wondering if I had fingers anymore. Figured I'd go on home.. sometimes they're there and sometimes they're not
@tacticalbassin true, is just one morning and we had a small front come in yesterday afternoon here in Texas. Thanks for the video and Adam seems like a Great! Angler and I like his demeanor.
This might be way too much work, but does the tech exist to add an inset to some of your catches that shows a topo map, boat position, cast distance, structure location, bite location, etc? I can see that being a cool next level if it’s possible
Some locals may not love it, but Adam has earned his place and he's a welcome addition to the team 👍🏼 We're grateful that he's willing to share his knowledge!
Hey that's my broski! No really, that's my brother!! What a great addition to the Tactical Bassin team! Congrats Adam! Proud of you brother!
