Just learn to filter the media. Contrary to what they want us to believe, the have their own viewpoint and inject it into every story. It has gotten even more so in the past couple of decades. They forget how this country got started, how it was built and grew; what we did in WWII and, in most of our lifetimes, what we did to put people on the Moon. It may be cloudy now, and get darker later, but "we got this". The Sun will be out again.

Your salute/ speech literally brought a tear to my eye. Even in these difficult times we really do have a lot to be thankful for. How can we not salute and tip our hats to all of the fine people in the medical profession along with the truck drivers and grocery store workers who are making sure our country is still going! Our servicemen are still out there doing their best to protect us and all we can do is stay positive! Thank you and Shannon for sharing this very nice lighthearted montage of your wonderful show! well , never cooked on a chuckwagon . but i was the 'cookie" with a boy scout troop for 14 years .
while we encouraged the boys to shop and cook for themselves (for menus we would approve )
i did some tutorials on some knife skills (hope i didn't goof them up too bad)
there was a few meals that i'd cook for the whole group (not just the attending leaders on a given campout) including the boys
i don't know if it was as much as a treat for the boys as it was for me.
you have to be careful , i learned, not to overthink the meal planning when you are feeding such a wide variety of ages.
i remember cooking swiss steak for a group of 48 , my mom's version . this young , maybe 10 year old, fussy eater said he doesn't eat swiss steak . i asked if he liked regular steak . he said , sure ! i took some fresh water in a bowl and commenced to 'rinsing' the peppers, onions, and tomatoes off of the steak . and he ambled off to eat his dinner. later , he came to me and said "that was the best steak i ever had" . that made my day .
i get it kent . ... it's not only about the food . that's what draws me to your channel , along with your buddy , daddy jack , in new london connecticut.
it's never work , if you love to do it.
i'm not a chef , just an electrician who loves to eat . bringing those scouts along for the ride ,,, was an appreciated bonus "it was"
