As much as I used to enjoy the show "Hoarders", it really was crazy to make the person struggling with hoarding clear our their stuff in 3 days. It seems like it is a horribly stressful experience for them. Your method of "a little at a time" and gaining strength and good habits gradually, seems so much healthier. Your a great example of how this can be done!
I did so many double takes at what you are ready to let go of. Im so proud of you! Also, you mentioned your love language is gifts. You are giving your whole family such an amazing gift of space by all the little steps you are taking! Keep up the amazing work!
Really impressed at how you were able to part with half the baby hangers, the red cards and craft hangers!!! There is no way you would have been able to do that when you started. You are really making so much progress! We are all so proud of you!👏🎉👏🌻
Thank you so so much my friend ❤️🙏🏻❤️ I truly appreciate that!! You are so right, I would not have been able to do it when I started! I’m grateful for your encouragement, that means the world to me 💞
Deciding to “let go half, keep half” sounds great! 😊 Imagine if you did that for your craft supplies? Especially ribbons!!!🎀 You’ll be letting go so much!!😉 Can’t wait for you to go through the whole basement and Konmari your craft supplies 🦄
When I was a kid we had a big empty space in our basement. I used it as a roller rink. Just an idea for when you get everything finished. You are doing amazing.
Declutter my refrigerator day! Took everything out, removed shelves and drawers , washed and sanitized, relined, and reorganized. Visiting grown sons had wrecked havoc! Also decalcified dishwasher, coffee pot and tea kettle. Last day of the kitchen zone for me. Will mop the floors after the Roomba finishes. The flylady kitchen zone is week two. Your videos keep me company in isolation here in the mountains and am always happy to see you do so well!
You did so good! I really like your get rid of half compromise for the baby hangers and the crafts. They have a lot of emotions attached and it really show how far you have come when you feel like you can keep those emotions from half the stuff. Keep going! I'll be your cherrleader :)
Oh yayyyyy...yes I love that 📣❤️ I felt anxious about letting it all go but I felt calm letting half of it go. That really helped in feeling secure and still strengthening the decluttering habit! Thank you so much for your encouragement, I’m grateful for that ❤️🙏🏻❤️
I thought the "negotiation" with us viewers was hilarious. And keeping half of the hangers and card stuff is a good compromise. It's not all or nothing. Everything she allows to go is a success 😊
About the childhood memories. I have kept also a lot to retain the great memories. But the truth is that we will never go back in time. I made a big big purge and kept only a little box of the very best ones. Now, I do appreciate them lot more as before, the big amount, has kept me somehow stuck in the past. Hope it helps!!! Go girl!!! Maintain your saving goals and look to some items as money makers!!! 😉
July 2023. I keep tiny things like jewelry or ash trays that belonged to family members. They are easy to store, and I wear them or use them. Tina, Al's wife
Hello unicorn 😍 I pray for you everyday to have your third miracle..2 years of progress I'v witness with you and you're blowing my mind every single day .. 🥰💙
Also one idea is when you get that corner cleaned out maybe put a all of the craft bins in that corner since there are more of them and that would get them out of the center isle of the room.
U did so well with getting rid of things that previously u would of kept. U should totally b proud of yourself! U have inspired me to declutter my linen cupboard and large chest that has manchester in (I think!). Thank u for putting yourself and your stuff out there and for helping people understand hoarding.
I’ve been watching you for a while. I am definitely opposites but I love watching your progress you are getting better at letting go. Wishing you more success as time goes on.
I have soo much stuff that I need to get rid of...I start well & then I quit... You are making decisions so quickly compared to your videos in the beginning...what a great progress!!
Yay! Great job! I love that you kept half of the items you were on the fence about - what a great compromise! You're making space to enjoy the stuff you do keep!
Thank you so much my friend!! I could tell I was feeling anxious of letting go of all of it! But I felt better once I decided to let go if half!! It seemed like the best decision at the time 🌟🌟🌟
Omg girl you're rocking it! So proud of you! I was shocked when you decluttered brand new stuff. As a hoarder myself, decluttering is more painful if something is brand new. Watching your video gave me the strength to part with 2 decorative storage boxes from Michaels. I'm a crafty hoarder like you and I had ideas how I could decorate with them while using them to store/hide clutter. Honestly they were impulse buy ($30) and I quickly regretted the purchase afterward. Lost my receipt so couldn't return them. Store credit is a no-no for me because of hoarding. My financial situation is really bad (lost job because of sickness) and the sight of the boxes brought out buyer's remorse and guilt. Well I donated them today! Found a new thrift shop in my area who uses their funds to help a cat shelter. I love kitties but can't have one due to health issues. Thank you so much for your videos. I feel my mindset is changing for the better and now I have a new place to donate to. They were so happy to get such pretty boxes to sell too! 💖
It's really great that instead of keeping all of something if there's multiples, that you only keep one or half. A lot of hoarders couldn't even make that concession. You could probably even get rid of the blue hangers and keep the white & green since they're unisex colors.
Wow you are letting go so much easier and quicker than when I first started watching you ! Good job girl. The anxiety seems to not be as hard hitting when it goes to kid stuff now too. I'm a third generation hoarder so I still have things I hold onto too so don't feel bad or think you are the only one. We ALL have stuff- hoarders or not. Like you said baby steps and take it at a pace you are able to handle.
Wow...you are really getting around that basement! Now you are aiming for that back corner. I have a feeling it will go faster back there than you might think. Great job!!! Keep up the good work. I'm so proud that you let go of some baby hangers and craft supplies!!!
I love that for some items you are compromising and keeping half or a third of the item - it's shows real growth as before you might have kept it all because they were functional items, but now you are holding onto the promise of doing that craft, but recognising that you don't need to keep it all. Well done!
I think this is the biggest tossy tossy pile I’ve seen so far and the way you made conscious decisions about what to keep/what to let go of? Bravo! So proud of you!🤗🙏🏻💖

I love that you compromised with yourself and got rid of half the hangers and crafty bits! I'm definitely an all or nothing girl... I will keep that method in mind! You are doing great. That basement will be decluttered in no time at the rate you are working. Love your videos. Keep it up! Heaps of love from England xxxx
I like how you say your love language is giving gifts...I learned that from my mom. I find myself thinking about who to give items to also. And then you can find that gift you forgot you bought and went and got something else so now you have something for next time. It's looking good! I actually did a mini declutter on my dining room table. When I feel better I will do more.
You go girl... Using your love language to heal your hoarding. I proud of you. I'm excited to see how far you made it through the basement. I can't wait to see another video.
@@ahoardersheart I really see your heart healing each time you make a video. I also find your videos encouraging when I'm having a down day your sunny personality brighten my day. Thank you
I was shocked when you said you had enough organization pieces! YES!!! That's an amazing mindset change! GO YOU!!! That's the real benefit of putting like items together, isn't it? 😊 The feeling of having "enough". Even if you only keep your very favourites, you'll still be swimming in happy memories and craft supplies. You have been blessed by your family and your job situation so that you can have a whole home full of things and people you hold dear. 🥰
By the way, I was feeling overwhelmed by how many kid's toys I had lying around my house yesterday, so I got the courage to let go of some that my son MIGHT play with again SOMEDAY. Now he has more room to play now! And I'll be giving the toys to families in my Buy Nothing Facebook group. 😊

Yay, another great decluttering session! It will be so fun for you when you have all your crafting stuff together and can sort them in different categories, it will be so much easier for you to find what you want to use. :) Like all the glue guns in one spot. ;) Lots of love!
You spoke about doing a reveal. Somehow I have it in my head that you will look exactly like Fran Dresher from The Nanny!! As for the declutter.....I’m IMPRESSED!!! Actually shocked that you let some of the kids stuff go. You’ve come a long way baby!
Even when you found the childhood things, you were less emotional! That is a huge step. I can hear it in your voice as you go through it all! You go, girl!
We’ll get there in the future ❤️❤️ I used to get rid of so much less and now I see a difference!! My piles are growing! It’s all about keeping my anxiety calm...once I start to get anxious, I know it’s time to stop!! Thank you so so much my friend 💞💞
You encourage me. You inspire me. I am thinking about the value I place on things which in turn makes me think harder about if I want to keep something or if I am able to let it go. A friend told me once that by me holding on to things I make them into idols. I am not 100% certain about that. But I am feeling that with each item I can allow to pass from my care, I am placing it at Jesus's feet in a form of a sacrifice from me because it is that painful to let go. You know for sure how it all starts in the mind. I find it is going from my mind to my heart and then finally to my hands. THANK YOU so much for being a RUclips Influencer....an influencer of living with less stuff. God Bless! Denise
Ugh I had to clean my sewing/ craft room today. It had become a drop spot hot mess! I feel good! So, i hear you with cute craft items and storage. Sometimes storage boxes etc can be worse than the things we put in them!
This is going so good omg you kept going after the childhood box and even a few months ago I think that would have made you stop. But you just gotta prepare yourself that the farther you go in the more memories are gonna pop up and that's gonna be hard but we know your never gonna stop trying and that what's most important.❤❤❤❤
I am so proud of your decision to let go of some crating items! I am so impressed with your growing strength that you didn't feel anxiety over letting those go! That was so awesome to see! Update: the main floor of my mother's house is almost complete, back to it's cluttered museum look: 100% functional yet highly decorated. We still have piles of clutter, but they have a home, and in a few months they will shuffle on over to where they belong! Our clutter has always been "unfinished projects" (lights to be hung, components to be installed, art supplies to be organized into the basement art studio) which this downtime that cancelled all our vacation plans has given us time to process the projects and finish them. This month we have an appointment to hang our tv in the living room which will clear all clutter except for on top of the desk! I didn't think this would be possible in 3 months! I thought it would take years!
This was amazing! Gotta be honest, that Atari gave me pangs. Still regret getting rid of ours more than 20 years ago. We had recently gotten a Super Nintendo and my dad said, "choose which one to keep." Which baffles me looking back because we had plenty of room to store them in the entertainment area, AND we regularly played on both consoles (Asteroids, baby! Centipede, Food Fight, Pitfall! That weird E.T. game 😤) I was still very little and so I took what he said as the Law. Man I wish I had held onto that Atari, kept it in my room or something instead, because it definitely sparked joy! I'm so happy you all kept yours, they're a real treat!
You are doing so well with the decluttering, and I've heard the bargaining method you did is a very good one if we're unsure if we want to get rid of things. Wasn't expecting you to go through a few baby things yet and really surprised you decided to donate half the hangers.
Hi sweety, i guess for you your doing good, me after one episode of hoarders and i went through all my stuff and got rid of 20 bags of stuff i don’t need to live day to day , we are going to die and leave all the stuff for someone else to just throw away anyway, if it’s in a box and you haven’t seen it in years it just going to stay in the box til you die, I’m doing this for my family, it’s not fair to them , hugs to you
Immediately proud of the fact that you kept going after you found the childhood box.

That's so funny, I had the exact same ballerina jewelry/music box growing up! (Ontario, Canada)
You go girl. So proud of you
You are doing so well with the decluttering, and I've heard the bargaining method you did is a very good one if we're unsure if we want to get rid of things. Wasn't expecting you to go through a few baby things yet and really surprised you decided to donate half the hangers.
Tossy tossy my fav word!!!
🌈🦄🦄🦄 you did great 🔥🔥🔥🦄🦄🦄🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🦄🦄🦄🦄🦄
Great job!
You've nearly decluttered 1/3 of the basement! That is a big accomplishment.
I love how the title doesn't have the "try" to declutter... i can see how compromise you are to do it!
Big difference in confidence, right? 🥳
Another big step you did. Congratulation ! 😊
Loved your office video and little by little you are making progress on this basement.
Thank you so so much my sweet friend ❤️🙏🏻❤️
Every little bit helps!! I am going through my own things as well. You are doing so well. I am so pthg oud of you.❤❤

You have become very strong Girl. It is amazing. Great job! 😊❤️
Thank you my dearest friend 💞 Honestly I’m only strong because of your loving encouragement ❤️🙏🏻❤️
Wow you can already see the big difference right at the beginning! Yes. There is a lot more stuff but you have come a long way
Hi sweety, i guess for you your doing good, me after one episode of hoarders and i went through all my stuff and got rid of 20 bags of stuff i don’t need to live day to day , we are going to die and leave all the stuff for someone else to just throw away anyway, if it’s in a box and you haven’t seen it in years it just going to stay in the box til you die, I’m doing this for my family, it’s not fair to them , hugs to you
