Everything from 5:13 til 9:05 is so much easier by using a #7 spiral fluted extractor. Twist to the left while pulling, nothing to it.

There is no way to know whether the sludge trap is full. Also one or more rings may be stuck even though you feel some compression. If you plan to keep the bike for years then you will enjoy it far more if you rebuild the motor now rather than let it deteriorate till it really needs it (or blows up.) You may not have to do a full rebuild; just take the barrels off so you can see the rods and pump oil into the crank from the side. You will see whether the oil flows into bearings

My machine shop cleans out the port and welds in a thick aluminum stub. My guy is in the Bronx but I am sure you can find someone near you who can do it. I can send you photos of the repair if you like.

Great video. I was wondering if the sludge still builds up if you fit an external oil filter?

Niels Christian Ek Probst When you install a filter the oil goes from the tank through the pump, through the motor, again through the pump then out to the filter and back to the tank. So the filter is the last thing the oil sees not the first. In other words the sludge trap does its work before the filter has a chance.
