    Hey
    I´ve discover this piece recently and thought it could sound great with crumhorns. For those who don´t enjoy crumhorns this can sound a true polifonic nightmare =)
    Anyway, this music is so beautiful and i think almost everybody will like it.

    HELLO! If you like my videos and would like to help me somehow please read!
    Recently my positive organ had to suffer some upgrades and the wind blower does not work anymore for it. Unfortunately my instrument is dead until i have a new blower but it is very expensive, not manufactured in Brazil and worst, even more inaccessible now because of Brazil economic situation and high currency devaluation.

    Eduardo, I'm 64 years old, and only discovered the compositions of Corteccia in the last 10 years. When I first discovered this recording recently,...and accidentally,... on RUclips, its beauty left me in tears ! Your mastery of the Crumhorn is nothing short of pure genius, and I thank you sincerely for adding so much to my musical enjoyment of this music from The Renaissance. Please continue to bless us with your performances of Renaissance music on authentic instruments. You are truly a musical gem.

      Dear Charles,
      Thank you very much for your beautiful words. I´m very happy to know you appreciated my performance of Corteccia. Indeed it´s a wonderful composer. It´s a great incentive to keep uploading videos, specially using the crumhorns.
      My best wishes from Rio to you!

    Mr Antonello, your performances on the krummhorn is really my second re-discovery of this wonderful instrument. The first was my introduction on pieces by the legendary folk band Gryphon on their first two albums. I just wish my wallet size was the same as my wishlist.....your renditions of ancient compositions and your own original takes on that same period music is a joy to my ears.....now I'd wish I had the tenor cornamuse and krummhorn myself, owwwww. But am afraid it will take some time to save money for it 😁. Keep doing your GREAT job on introducing people into renaissance and early baroque music. From a new fan from the Netherlands.

    Just amazing. You, my brother, are a genius. Creativity is just incredible- PLEASE continue to produce these types of videos!
    One question however: Why the concertina razor-wire? I guess it could be Early Music in a "very different way" - 8 Crumhorns blaring above a prison wall. Or, the concertina razor-wire would be a fitting background for a concert of crumhorns.
    Hmmmm...

    I am curious. The crumhorn ensemble recordings I listen to made by you seem to have much better intonation than recordings by others. Is this a function of better technique on your part, better instrument quality or some other factor of which I am unaware?

    • @EarlyMusicinadifferentway
      @EarlyMusicinadifferentway  10 лет назад

      Hello Jim. I beleave when i play multi track is quite easy to maintain the same blow needed to play with myself then others and this helps. Also some people blow the crumhorn as a harder resistance recorder and i think this is not good.I´ve never learned it. Just discovered by myself. About my instruments they are more special then others from Eric Moulder from exemple which are really nice! Regards

    Love it! I'm a krummhorn consortist myself...well done. For Jim Hodges: Reedcap instruments have to be very carefully controlled by breath pressure alone, as there is no embouchre control of the reed inside the cap at the top of the instrument. Blow in the hole, and it makes noise, hopefully beautiful noise. Breath pressure control and the ability to instantly hear the correct pitch for the fingering is essential, assuming the instrument has been properly regulated before being played. There are several families of reedcap winds, the krummhorn being the most visually entertaining. The curved body actually serves no acoustic purpose. For Eduardo: sorry to hijack the thread here...perdon.
