They say in my country that they need a big voliere cage. Even in the zoo they have that. If we get these, we have to get a big volierer to keep them in most of the time. Or it's illegal. It's law to have branches and high things they can jump on in the cages.

I live in mo and it is legal to own a primate but you have to let your local law enforcement know you have it. There is no permit required, they just need to know who has them and make sure you have proper facilities (so they don't get loose). A marmoset would be no big deal at all. We did the research because we were in the market for a capuchin. We too live in the kc area. There is a breeder in Lebanon, mo, they have capuchins, squirrel monkeys, green monkeys, marmosets, and leamers. Lee's summit animal clinic has a primate vet as well, he use to be the monkey vet for the kc zoo.

Are Terriers "rat" dogs? In other words were they bred to chase rats? If so, that many not be a good idea but no two animals are alike.
