If I can solve a personal problem first, there are high chances that I can solve it for someone else too and that someone could be close to me. Just like how Antony found someone in his church group.
After the first customer, I would then go ahead and compile everything that went right and wrong. Strengthen the right things and find solutions for the stuff that I did wrong.

Thanks, Paul, this was a great interview. $1.2 million ÷ 26 units = $46,154 avg. ea. It was stated that the $1.2 million was in "revenue", which would typically indicate net and not gross, but the way the conversation went they're meaning gross sales. $40k for a 120 sq. ft. office = $333/sq. ft. for premium materials and quality design & classy execution.

Not sure how you can say 30 to 40 year shelf life after being in business for three years. Using 2"x4"'s for exterior walls makes it tuff to meet R value. If it's a portable shed/movable, no need for permits if the square footage is small enough. An RV plug eliminates the need for an L&I electrical inspection. That being said- CUDOs to you to find a niche. Very well done

    • @jheiny1231

Your house walls are 2x4s. Residential won't alow an "rv plug" for electrical connection. Lol. He's just a few steps ahead of u my friend. Towns/villages and a home owner association are all different. Some will require permit. Some won't. Some will only allow a certain square footage..some will only allow certain max finish roof height.

You could rent an office for a year, maybe a couple if you live in an inexpensive area. But that rent money is just gone. Plus then you have to commute. With this you spend 40k, right that 40k off your taxes, have an office that you can use for the next 20 years rent free, plus it increases the value of your home, so if you sell or refinance you'll probably be able to get most if not all or more than that 40k back. If you play it right itll atleast pay for itself, it may even make you money, and you don't have to commute, throw away money on rent, or deal with a land lord.
