my teacher taught us about missense, silent, nonsense and insertion mutations as well as the ones u mentioned in the video I was just wondering is it essential I know about it bcs its not on the mark scheme. so I'm just wondering in doing AS
Hi! For AS, you only need to know about substitution and deletion (also chromosomal mutations). For A2, you need to know about addition, deletion, substitution, inversion, duplication and translocation of bases :)
Excellent explanation , classifying it to mendelian disorders will be more excellent because the mutation of single gene comes in mendelian disorder like sickle cell anemia which is autosomal recessive disorder.

even 3 years on, you are extremely helpful and better than most teachers.

Something went wrong with the audio and the screen froze at the end! Sorry about that but hopefully you can still see what I put!
thankyou so much!! i often find it easier to watch a video rather than just read pages of the textbook, so this is really helpful!
Glad I could help :)
Why didn't i find u sooner?
😁😁😁
Hey, I love your videos! But do we not need to know more detail about the stages of meiosis II?
I swear you've been such a big help to me.
Great video! I’ve been watching your videos for revision and they are very helpful :)
Thank you so much! I love your channel. You always make everything so clear 😊 I’m finally understanding things.
Thank you so much 💕
Deserve more subs and views

@@AlevelBiologyHelp ohhh thank uu
@@AlevelBiologyHelp is there a video for that?
Yes :)@@Lavin.

You're right! Mendelian inheritance is discussed in the Inheritance chapter, which is part of the A2 content! That's why I didn't cover it👩🔬.
@@AlevelBiologyHelp cool 😄
I understand
Do we not need to know further detail how trisomy or polyploidy occurs
Hi is there a video on mitosis by any chance?
Yes - it's called "cell cycle and mitosis"
@@AlevelBiologyHelp found it tysmm!
Do we need to know about the PMAT of meiosis
no u dont, that's in year 2
Yes, you do :)
@@AlevelBiologyHelp i love you
2:51 what do you mean by single amino acid
I think she meant single base
