You two are GREAT ambassadors for turkey ! as soon as the COVID has finished, Turkey is definitely on my van tour ! The people seem so friendly and they deserve a lot of tourists to beautifull Turkey 👍🏼WELL DONE you two for promoting this so well it is an eye opener , maybe the turkey tourist board should help you more on your tours ❤️😁😎
We are from Australia. In 2017 we bought a house in Dalyan and have been visiting there every year since. It is such a special place. Cannot wait for the borders to reopen so we can return. Chris and Marianne you are doing such a great service to Turkey and Turkish people you should be commended. All the best for the rest of your journey.
You mentioned how clean the beach was - so let's give credit where credit is due. Years ago an initiative was started by a Dutch couple, Co and Maria Jonker that has taken a boatload of volunteers every Thursday for many years out to bag up trash on the beach, in the reeds, on the river and even in Dalyan. They have literally hauled away tons of discarded rubbish and in the process inspired greater responsibility from the locals - both Turkish and Yabancis to keep these areas far cleaner. They got the Belediye to provide a boat, large heavy duty trash bags and other needed materials - but it was Co and Maria that never gave up and kept the initiative alive and operating. Turkey has always had a big trash problem and the trash does not magically disappear - if not for the efforts - mainly of local volunteer expats and turkish residents and helpful Belediye the pristine nature on the coastal areas would still suffer.
How amazing is that ... they are clearly awesome people - we hope to go back in March ... maybe we could do a clean with them and share their story ? Kind regards Marianne
You are so lucky to have been stuck in Turkey. Thank you for keeping in touch with Turkey until we can return. You are visiting many places I love but also introducing me to many different places.
You can always come here sister our doors are open for every people with good soul , on the other hand our Country has many climates together so in my opinion you should visit atleast one city in every region like at summer Marmaris,Alanya,Dalyan etc. at spring İstanbul,İzmir,Kapadokya,GöbekliTepe etc. at autmn Bartın(a town at Amasra), Trabzon,Rize,Adana etc. at winter Sarıkamış,Uludağ,Palandöken,Isparta etc.
Now you can see why so many people visit Dalyan time and again. When I visit it is always such a special treat,it charges the batteries with so much beauty and nature.
Loved watching this one, brought back some fantastic memories. Been in those mud baths a few times. I had to get hauled out last time, couldn't get out for laughing, the mud was so thick, really embarrassing ☺
I’m so pleased that you got to experience Lake Köyceğiz. It is so peaceful and beautiful. Very atmospheric. The sky meets the calm, blue water and it’s often hard to see the join! One of my top destinations. Thank you for sharing this video in particular.
Hi,it is nce to watch my country from an English perspective. I am always waiting for your video at home because of the pandemic .I like it very much ,have a nice holiday .ALMANY DA SELAMLAR:
We love Dalyan, the lake and Sultaniye! When open it is wonderful to be in hot springs/mud bath and then slip into the lake for a swim! The drive from there to Köyceğiz town is just beautiful! Or we take the nearby ferry over the river to Dalyan. If you love the tombs, stop off at Pinara (between Fethiye and Kalkan) it is an extraordinary site high in the mountains with views of snow capped mountains.
Great vlog love dalyan always discover something new each visit it’s wonderful that you’ve enjoyed the beauty of this area as do we .. I always say it’s such a charming place beautiful scenery and has never lost its small village feel even though it’s quite a big place ..looking forward to returning there as soon as is possible take care and thanks for sharing
Levent he needs to be a tour guide for his full time job! Lol.. Showing you guys all the good spots! One of these days I want to make a trip to Italy and then Turkey!
Hi Guys we rearly enjoyed your Video of Dalyan, we have been going for the last twelve years & would definitely describe it as Turkey's jewel in the crown. We have now sold our house in the U. Love love love this one. I’m so glad you loved Dalyan. Boat trips are amazing both köyceğiz way and the beach way. Feels so much longer than 5 months since I was there and unsure about this year the way things are. So fortunate to have your videos to watch. Marianne and Chris keep doing what your doing your a great ambassador for tourism in turkey
I don't know if you are still in Dalyan, but there is a village hall where locals go to watch whirling dervishes, it's fascinating to watch. Probably not happening at the moment due to covid.

Locals never go watching whirling dervishes in Turkey. That's mostly for tourists except for a couple of specific places in whole Turkey and at specific dates.
Lovely tour, thank you so much. I'm longing for that good food and a dip in the thermal bath to soothe my achy joints. You sure are meeting some of the nicest people along the way. Take care now, cheers
