I think she’s been traveling across universes to try to save Peter or her father multiple times failing on some timelines and breaking the canon indirectly/unknowingly. And that would be why the events happened differently with the appearance of her dad who appeared skinny in the flashback when she saved her dad, and the way she defeated Earth-67 Peter/Lizard happening two different ways in the two movies’ flashbacks, and etc.

Gwen has the most OP spider sense we have ever seen, in terms of her spider sense literally telling her crap about where she will find Spider Man before Miles was even bit. She also in the new movie can sense him in danger across dimensions? This is a kind of connection we have only seen between them two from Gwen. If she never had this OP spider sense the time loop would have never occurred. I’m thinking that not only does this disprove the idea of canon events, but actually indicates perhaps some higher power at play because why are they so intertwined in terms of their destiny and their importance throughout these films? Just adding on to what you have already spectacularly theorized.
My theory is that Miguel is somewhat incorrect about canon events. I believe that each dimension has only one canon event: the death of a loved one with a strong connection to the Spider-person. For the Peter's it's Uncle Ben, for Gwen it's Earth-65 Peter and for Miles it's Uncle Aaron. Why did the Dimension visited by Miguel collapse? Because in that Dimension Gabriella O'hara was supposed to be Spider-Woman. The Miguel of that dimension was the canon event. Miguel replacing himself ensured Gabriella never experienced that loss, causing that dimension to collapse. Why is Earth-42 fine? Because Earth-42 Miles still experienced the loss of his father, he just didn't have Spider Powers. Thoughts?
Agreed, Miguel O'Hara of Earth 928B died in an Uncle Ben way and after the second watching of the movies I was like "WAIT A MINUTE" and since then I have been convinced that Miguel is a bit off regarding his hypothesis. Good to see someone else thinking exactly the same thing!

This has convinced me that Beyond the Spider-Verse needs to be at least 20 minutes longer than the last two. And even as someone who loves time travel as a storytelling method, I somehow never thought of this, but it feels like that’s the only direction the series can go from here. Your theories make a ton of sense, and they actually feel like new theories.
This makes a lot of sense. I've often thought about Gwen's time travel as a way for how the Spot could have been causing universal collapses before he even existed, making him the literal cause for literally everything. I think this theory would work in a novel. But in a movie, I'm not sure how you could explain all of this to the audience in an elegant way that doesn't feel needlessly complex or hard to understand.
Yeah I absolutely agree, trying to explain this in a movie without killing the pacing seems impossible, I'm imagining a generic villain's monologue lmao. Theory that is based on Sitting in the Tree story with Miles and Gwen. Charlotte, thier daughter have a sharp spider-sense that is near Professor X level. It's hinted that Gwen has the same ability. It's possible that Gwen is the OG anaomly or possible Miles gaurdian angel.
This is genuinely the best Spider-Verse video I think I've seen. Like, it's the first one I've seen that didn't just say things that everyone already knew and that actually made me think and realize things I hadn't before, even from Into the Spider-Verse. Wow. Waaowow. WOwow.
I kind of assumed that Gwen went back in time as a consequence of the way she landed. All the other incoming Spider-People just crash-landed, while Gwen latched onto a lamppost and swung around to dispel the kinetic energy of her entry via centrifugal force. See, she swings around exactly seven times.
Well, from what we're given from the itsv film, i think that gwen stacy didn't time travel. The first reason is that different universes have different calendars, so when gwen said "i was blown into last week", it probably meant that the calendar in earth-65 is off by one week. The second reason that it isn't time travel is shown at the start of the film. In the first scenes, when spiderman makes his introduction, we see him getting blasted by the collider, and when miles walks to school, one of his friends asks "have you heard the earthquake last night" (or something like that), referring to the collider
Just to counter-argue this: While yes there were multiple tests, when Peter is pushed into the beam a screen pops up showing which universes are being connected, one of those universes is Earth-65 (Earth-42 is also absent from this, so the spider wasn't brought over during this time and also sent back in time, but in an earlier test), and there is a close-up of Peter where we watch him "sync up" with the other spider-people, which is what summoned them to his and Miles' universe in the first place. The only spider-person missing from this sequence is Peter Porker funnily enough which implies to me that something else dragged him into Earth-1610 (maybe the radioactive spider which would have brought over the Earth-42 spider in an earlier test?). So I'm definitely on the side that Gwen did time travel. And regarding the out-of-sync calendars: in ITSV we see Gwen travel back in time after she landed on Earth 1610 (by swinging around that lamppost while time reversed) while for Spider-Man Noir and Penny they just got shot straight into the right moment, no establishing shot of them having to travel through time in the same way. I appreciate you can say it's more stylistic but I think it's worth mentioning.
As much as I'd love to see Gwen and Miles make up to have a healthier relationship... I love the idea of Miles-42 helping Miles-1610B out in order to have redemption. I see Miles-42 and Aaron-42 as the two anti-heroes who operate in the shadows as "The Prowler" to takae care of Rio-42. Saving Miles OG Dad, Jefferson, is a powerful plot point considering how dangerous it is to "breaks the CANON". However, I believe Miguel and Miles are both wrong about Canon Events. The Spot can travel through "space and time" now right? I've said this plenty of times. Our enemy is hidden on plain sight. And it's the writers who created the Spot. I believe the Spot altered the "Canon Events" to ruin Spider-Man's life in every universe. Notice Peni Parker after hers? Something went horribly wrong if you've read her comics lmao. And yes, both Miguel and the Spot are equally insecure and are prinecting their trauma on Miles Morales. Except, Miguel is trying out of a place of sympathy. Sony's take on Marvel's/The Watcher's "Absolute Points" is rewarding and creative. Why? It's because we're all speculating and making memes based on all this information and theories. It's healthy seeing us Debate without going at each others THROATS! I love this video, because it touches on some theories I haven't seen other content creators talk about yet. Other than Serpant Sir, he's underrated and awesome because he's helped me understand there's more to the story's universe than the Spider-Verse.

This is super fascinating and thanks for bringing this to my attention. I read into it a bit and it seems it does allow for the ""sympathetic depiction of criminal behavior... [and] corruption among public officials" ("as long as it is portrayed as exceptional and the culprit is punished")", so from what I can tell as long as they get punished for their actions, they can still be redeemed. This specific bit of the code was added in the 1970s so there may be more up-to-date rulings I can't find.
Here's an interesting point I just came up with. Why is Spot the only one to not glitch when crossing dimensions? I hope they address it in the next movie. Maybe the supercolliders made him immune by absorbing other realities multiverses and merging other spots with himself thats how he got so powerful.

I think at one point they show that Richard and Vanessa’s DNA were collected from a hair sample. Assuming Kingpin’s mansion is big enough that most rooms wouldn’t be in use by the one guy living there and they don’t get cleaned very meticulously, hair could have been picked off of furniture, hairbrushes, etc.
This is an amazing detailed theory, definitely think more villians are to come. Maybe they come after Miles and Gwen’s team on their way to rescue him.
The Gwen theory is interesting, but is it overlooking something more simple? I thought in the first movie, they were several collider testings. At the very beginning of the movie they're even talking about one on th news (the earthquakes). Wasn't it one of the earlier testings that brought Gwen first and then a later testing that brought the rest?
First of all that doesn't change the fact Gwen with her actions changed the timeline secondly she seems to get summoned when Peter gets pushed to the collider
What I’m thinking is that since the next movie is called ‘beyond the spider verse’ they travel into a higher place than the multiverse. Sort of like an ultra verse which links all multiverses together. This could mean the one universe where miles ‘broke the cannon event’ is present in all multiverses. In each multiverse there could also be a sort of lobby which controls their own multiverse just like in the movie where all the spider people resign. This could explain why this universe hasn’t collapsed. I don’t really know what they would do in this ‘ultra verse’ to carry on the story… potentially the Miguel Spider-Man guy ‘like the head of the spider people’ could of known about this ultra verse and he wanted to fool everybody in his multiverse so that her could control it. Miles, Gwen and the rest of the spider people could figure out a way to get to this ultra verse and discover that Miguel is trying to take over by seeing other multiverses that don’t have this ‘spider dimension place’. This could also be the reason Miguel is so violent when it comes to capturing ‘anonymity’s’ as if he wanted to recruit them to help him stop the spider people from finding out his true intentions of taking over the multiverse. Dang I feel like Albert Einstein after coming up with all of that. The only thing is that if there is a ultra verse there is most likely a ‘verse’ greater than the ultra verse and so on for infinity. Which could really break time, the laws of physics and stuff like that. Sorry to sound so 🤓🤓 there by the way Tell me what you think about this
A good addition to this is that, if you did not know, there were different versions of this movie in theaters. In these versions, some of the dialogue was different and what is more interesting is that some of the scenes were actually animated differently in small ways. The changes in dialogue could be argued as something the directors did just to make scenes appeal in a more emotionally specific way. The changes of animation however don’t really make sense as they don’t change the story in any way (like in one Lylia asked Miguel for a fist bump and in another she took a selfi with him instead). I think those changes have to mean something.
Since 42's spider was engineered by Alchemax, we could assume that they were making it the strongest it could be. Mile's powers are way beyond what the other spider-people have. Knowing that the spider-sense is basically short-range future sight, Miles being able to hear Gwen the first time he experienced spider-sense isn't that much of a surprise.
I mean, Miguel is literally from 2099, Spider Noir is from 1933, we even have Webslinger who's an 19th century cowboy (I also spotted Maybelle Reilly, who's from New-York 1895)...
A thought have you consider Madam Webb? It's possible that Hobie is working with her and did things to make sure the Gwen and Miles save the multiverse.
Even without working with Madame Webb, his "what of it" reaction to the ASM 90 event, while everybody else was very uncomfortable gave me the impression that he has his own doubts not just because "the establishment and its propaganda" logic, but also because he seems to have a very different vision of his own canon events (he comes from a place ruled by fascists and is notoriously ACAB-leaning), which leads to a different general perspective on everything.

13:20 dont be alarmed kingpin isnt a grave digger, its shown on like a screen in a previous scene they were using stray hair strands for his families dna👍 (Also explains why them coming to the dimension was so much harder vs multiple spider people coming thru with ease was because peters whole body/head went in with alot more genetic material to get from vs the wisps of his family that breifly phased in and out as a result of a lackluster amount of dna to pull from)

Earth 42 still standing id maybe because instead of becoming spiderman and losing someone he loved, he became the prowler and his dad died as a captain so basically the same thing happened…
Here's my take on what will happen. • The movie will start with Miles breaking out of Prowler Miles chains. He'll run but Prowler Miles will eventually catch up. Two members of sinister cartel will appear. Both Miles will have to join forces and eventually became friends. Now the next scene will be about Gwen hopping universes recruiting Anya Corazon, Spider-Ma'am, Japanese Spider-Man, Turkish Spider-Man, and Amalgam's Spider-Boy. Of course, what she's doing may disrupt canon events. And because of that, Miguel will come after her. They'll fight for a few minutes but Gwen's team will eventually reach Earth-42 and take Miles to his original universe to save his Dad. Miguel's team are waiting for Miles. They will fight to stop Miles from disrupting the canon event. Until spot arrives and defeat most Spider-Man. Miles' canon event are now happening. The building is about to drop on his dad. Japanese Spider-Man arrives, summons Leopardon and catches it. Miles swoops in. Save his Dad and fight Spot. Of course, Spot are still multiversal threat. Both team will form a alliance to make spot use all of his Spot. Things will happen blah blah. Miles took Japanese Spider-Man sword vigor and slices Spot. (Letting him live will be a trouble. So they definitely gonna kill him. And i think that's what Spot would have wanted. A villain that is dangerous that he shouldn't live. Far from a "Villain of the week"). And after that, Miguel will br proven that he's wrong about canon events. Movie ends with Miles, Gwen and other Spider-Man swinging until credits.
ive had this idea for a scene for a while now where miles meets a spider man who could time travel and miles takes the time travel device to his universe and goes back in time and has a heart to heart moment with peter parker before he died and tells him what to do if someone is telling him thats his a mistake and doesnt belong crazy theory it will probably never happen but its a cool idea

While I don't fully agree with Gwen being the original anomaly, I do agree with Gwen causing all the chaos due to the time travel. I noticed Gwen's time travel and how that was there. I didn't think much of it until you mentioned it. After thinking about it, it makes sense. Looking at what's happened in her life, Gwen lost her Peter. Her Peter died. Where else did Peter die, in Miles' dimension, and was Gwen there before so? Yes. So, I could be making a longshot here but, what if Gwen coming into the dimension and then being transported back in time caused Peter's death? Possibly! And why did all of this happen? Kingpen. I don't think Miles or Gwen are the anomalies, Kingpen is. Tracing this all the way back, Kingpen had the collider created, it broke, Gwen got sucked in, got transported back in time, Earth 42's spider got in Earth 1610, Miles' Peter died and then Into The Spider Verse happened. I wonder if Spider Verse 3 will reveal that Miles isn't the anomaly nor is Gwen but Kingpen.
I love your theory Pheonyck, but hoooo boy, putting Time travel as the base of the next movie would destroy it. Time travel is what writers do when they back themselves into a into a corner. Plus, the movie would lose its originality, as it rides on the ideas of other's. Your theory sounds convincing. Though I feel like that there is something missing that I can't tell what it is. The original anomaly must be some other thing other than the group from into the spiderverse, Miguel, Spot, or any other villian. I think that doctor strange might be involved, atleast indirectly. Dr. Strange has alot of power and we saw how strong it is. When Dr. Strange and Peter messed up a large thing back at the MCU, we saw the side effects of it in earth 19999, but it may have side effects happening outside of it. Who knows how much damage both of them caused to the multiverse even if nobody remembers who was spiderman in the MCU. The side effects may be seen before the events of No Way Home because of time travel existing in Earth 19999. I also remember that in Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness that America Chavez mentioned that there is only one America Chavez in the whole multiverse.
I like the Gwen theory, also you should definitely watch Lord of the Rings. Probably my favourite trilogy of all time (Star Wars is close second), Beyond may change that though.

I had a hunch about dimensional and travel because Miguel is from 2099, Spider Noir is from 1933, Peni is from 31XX, we even have Maybelle Reilly and Webslinger who're from the 19th century... But for some reason, the whole "I arrived one week before" thing didn't stick. As for Miles getting bitten, I want to gob"akshually" on Miguel because technically the Spider 42 was supposed to bite Miles Morales. It did bite A Miles Morales so like, maybe his definition of what a Canon Event is simply isn't correct and his handling of the hypothesis was a bit too dogmatic.

When Peter's head is pushed into the collider, it actually cuts to the other spider-people to show that's when they're being summoned, including Gwen. Funnily enough, Peter Porker wasn't included in that sequence which may mean something else summoned him

In this case, Peter died, and Gwen is accepting that her dad is just gonna die because the universe requires her too. Also keep in mind that Miguel didn’t even want her there in the first people. JESS did. Miguel probably did a miscalculation on the fact that Gwen is literally the person who dies for a canon event, or was hesitant to accept her because she’s technically supposed to die, and therefore could cause the disruption of the canon. TL;DR Miles and Gwen are the same when it comes to disrupting canon. Miguel is so alert about Miles, however, because his spider didn’t come from a different dimension. Gwen’s spider did. For all we know, it could’ve bit her “by mistake.”

My theory is that Miguel is somewhat incorrect about canon events.
I believe that each dimension has only one canon event: the death of a loved one with a strong connection to the Spider-person. For the Peter's it's Uncle Ben, for Gwen it's Earth-65 Peter and for Miles it's Uncle Aaron.
Why did the Dimension visited by Miguel collapse? Because in that Dimension Gabriella O'hara was supposed to be Spider-Woman. The Miguel of that dimension was the canon event. Miguel replacing himself ensured Gabriella never experienced that loss, causing that dimension to collapse.
Why is Earth-42 fine? Because Earth-42 Miles still experienced the loss of his father, he just didn't have Spider Powers.

This has convinced me that Beyond the Spider-Verse needs to be at least 20 minutes longer than the last two. And even as someone who loves time travel as a storytelling method, I somehow never thought of this, but it feels like that’s the only direction the series can go from here. This makes a lot of sense. I've often thought about Gwen's time travel as a way for how the Spot could have been causing universal collapses before he even existed, making him the literal cause for literally everything.
I think this theory would work in a novel. But in a movie, I'm not sure how you could explain all of this to the audience in an elegant way that doesn't feel needlessly complex or hard to understand.

Theory that is based on Sitting in the Tree story with Miles and Gwen. Charlotte, thier daughter have a sharp spider-sense that is near Professor X level. It's hinted that Gwen has the same ability. It's possible that Gwen is the OG anaomly or possible Miles gaurdian angel.

I kind of assumed that Gwen went back in time as a consequence of the way she landed. All the other incoming Spider-People just crash-landed, while Gwen latched onto a lamppost and swung around to dispel the kinetic energy of her entry via centrifugal force. See, she swings around exactly seven times.
Well, from what we're given from the itsv film, i think that gwen stacy didn't time travel. The first reason is that different universes have different calendars, so when gwen said "i was blown into last week", it probably meant that the calendar in earth-65 is off by one week. The second reason that it isn't time travel is shown at the start of the film. In the first scenes, when spiderman makes his introduction, we see him getting blasted by the collider, and when miles walks to school, one of his friends asks "have you heard the earthquake last night" (or something like that), referring to the collider
Just to counter-argue this: While yes there were multiple tests, when Peter is pushed into the beam a screen pops up showing which universes are being connected, one of those universes is Earth-65 (Earth-42 is also absent from this, so the spider wasn't brought over during this time and also sent back in time, but in an earlier test), and there is a close-up of Peter where we watch him "sync up" with the other spider-people, which is what summoned them to his and Miles' universe in the first place. The only spider-person missing from this sequence is Peter Porker funnily enough which implies to me that something else dragged him into Earth-1610 (maybe the radioactive spider which would have brought over the Earth-42 spider in an earlier test?). So I'm definitely on the side that Gwen did time travel.
And regarding the out-of-sync calendars: in ITSV we see Gwen travel back in time after she landed on Earth 1610 (by swinging around that lamppost while time reversed) while for Spider-Man Noir and Penny they just got shot straight into the right moment, no establishing shot of them having to travel through time in the same way. I appreciate you can say it's more stylistic but I think it's worth mentioning.

As much as I'd love to see Gwen and Miles make up to have a healthier relationship... I love the idea of Miles-42 helping Miles-1610B out in order to have redemption. I see Miles-42 and Aaron-42 as the two anti-heroes who operate in the shadows as "The Prowler" to takae care of Rio-42. Saving Miles OG Dad, Jefferson, is a powerful plot point considering how dangerous it is to "breaks the CANON". However, I believe Miguel and Miles are both wrong about Canon Events.
The Spot can travel through "space and time" now right? I've said this plenty of times. Our enemy is hidden on plain sight. And it's the writers who created the Spot. This is super fascinating and thanks for bringing this to my attention. I read into it a bit and it seems it does allow for the ""sympathetic depiction of criminal behavior... [and] corruption among public officials" ("as long as it is portrayed as exceptional and the culprit is punished")", so from what I can tell as long as they get punished for their actions, they can still be redeemed. This specific bit of the code was added in the 1970s so there may be more up-to-date rulings I can't find.
I think they will use time travel to go to the future in Miles’ dimension and find a way to stop the Spot from killing his father.

Here's an interesting point I just came up with. Why is Spot the only one to not glitch when crossing dimensions? I hope they address it in the next movie. Maybe the supercolliders made him immune by absorbing other realities multiverses and merging other spots with himself thats how he got so powerful.

I think at one point they show that Richard and Vanessa’s DNA were collected from a hair sample. Assuming Kingpin’s mansion is big enough that most rooms wouldn’t be in use by the one guy living there and they don’t get cleaned very meticulously, hair could have been picked off of furniture, hairbrushes, etc.
This is an amazing detailed theory, definitely think more villians are to come. Maybe they come after Miles and Gwen’s team on their way to rescue him.

At the very beginning of the movie they're even talking about one on th news (the earthquakes). What I’m thinking is that since the next movie is called ‘beyond the spider verse’ they travel into a higher place than the multiverse. Sort of like an ultra verse which links all multiverses together. This could mean the one universe where miles ‘broke the cannon event’ is present in all multiverses. In each multiverse there could also be a sort of lobby which controls their own multiverse just like in the movie where all the spider people resign. This could explain why this universe hasn’t collapsed. I don’t really know what they would do in this ‘ultra verse’ to carry on the story… potentially the Miguel Spider-Man guy ‘like the head of the spider people’ could of known about this ultra verse and he wanted to fool everybody in his multiverse so that her could control it. Miles, Gwen and the rest of the spider people could figure out a way to get to this ultra verse and discover that Miguel is trying to take over by seeing other multiverses that don’t have this ‘spider dimension place’. This could also be the reason Miguel is so violent when it comes to capturing ‘anonymity’s’ as if he wanted to recruit them to help him stop the spider people from finding out his true intentions of taking over the multiverse.

The only thing is that if there is a ultra verse there is most likely a ‘verse’ greater than the ultra verse and so on for infinity. Which could really break time, the laws of physics and stuff like that.

A good addition to this is that, if you did not know, there were different versions of this movie in theaters. In these versions, some of the dialogue was different and what is more interesting is that some of the scenes were actually animated differently in small ways. The changes in dialogue could be argued as something the directors did just to make scenes appeal in a more emotionally specific way. The changes of animation however don’t really make sense as they don’t change the story in any way (like in one Lylia asked Miguel for a fist bump and in another she took a selfi with him instead). I think those changes have to mean something.
Since 42's spider was engineered by Alchemax, we could assume that they were making it the strongest it could be. Mile's powers are way beyond what the other spider-people have.
Knowing that the spider-sense is basically short-range future sight, Miles being able to hear Gwen the first time he experienced spider-sense isn't that much of a surprise.

Even without working with Madame Webb, his "what of it" reaction to the ASM 90 event, while everybody else was very uncomfortable gave me the impression that he has his own doubts not just because "the establishment and its propaganda" logic, but also because he seems to have a very different vision of his own canon events (he comes from a place ruled by fascists and is notoriously ACAB-leaning), which leads to a different general perspective on everything.

Here's my take on what will happen.
• The movie will start with Miles breaking out of Prowler Miles chains. He'll run but Prowler Miles will eventually catch up. Two members of sinister cartel will appear. Both Miles will have to join forces and eventually became friends. Now the next scene will be about Gwen hopping universes recruiting Anya Corazon, Spider-Ma'am, Japanese Spider-Man, Turkish Spider-Man, and Amalgam's Spider-Boy. Of course, what she's doing may disrupt canon events. And because of that, Miguel will come after her. They'll fight for a few minutes but Gwen's team will eventually reach Earth-42 and take Miles to his original universe to save his Dad. Miguel's team are waiting for Miles. They will fight to stop Miles from disrupting the canon event. Until spot arrives and defeat most Spider-Man. Miles' canon event are now happening. The building is about to drop on his dad. Japanese Spider-Man arrives, summons Leopardon and catches it. Miles swoops in. Save his Dad and fight Spot. Of course, Spot are still multiversal threat. Both team will form a alliance to make spot use all of his Spot. Things will happen blah blah. Miles took Japanese Spider-Man sword vigor and slices Spot. (Letting him live will be a trouble. So they definitely gonna kill him. And i think that's what Spot would have wanted. A villain that is dangerous that he shouldn't live. Far from a "Villain of the week"). And after that, Miguel will br proven that he's wrong about canon events. Movie ends with Miles, Gwen and other Spider-Man swinging until credits.

I think there might be another Gwen in Earth 1610, who probably wasn't around much after Gwen from Earth 65 entered in Miles' Universe.
I think that version of Gwen already died that's why our Gwen feels the need to hide her identity.

While I don't fully agree with Gwen being the original anomaly, I do agree with Gwen causing all the chaos due to the time travel.
I noticed Gwen's time travel and how that was there. I didn't think much of it until you mentioned it. After thinking about it, it makes sense. Looking at what's happened in her life, Gwen lost her Peter. Her Peter died. Where else did Peter die, in Miles' dimension, and was Gwen there before so? Yes. So, I could be making a longshot here but, what if Gwen coming into the dimension and then being transported back in time caused Peter's death? Possibly! And why did all of this happen? Kingpen. I don't think Miles or Gwen are the anomalies, Kingpen is. Tracing this all the way back, Kingpen had the collider created, it broke, Gwen got sucked in, got transported back in time, Earth 42's spider got in Earth 1610, Miles' Peter died and then Into The Spider Verse happened. I wonder if Spider Verse 3 will reveal that Miles isn't the anomaly nor is Gwen but Kingpen.
I love your theory Pheonyck, but hoooo boy, putting Time travel as the base of the next movie would destroy it. Time travel is what writers do when they back themselves into a into a corner. Plus, the movie would lose its originality, as it rides on the ideas of other's. I believe that they have not backed themselves into that terrible corner yet, and that the next movie will blow us away with something we simply don't see coming.

Your theory sounds convincing. Though I feel like that there is something missing that I can't tell what it is. The original anomaly must be some other thing other than the group from into the spiderverse, Miguel, Spot, or any other villian. I think that doctor strange might be involved, atleast indirectly. Dr. Strange has alot of power and we saw how strong it is. When Dr. Strange and Peter messed up a large thing back at the MCU, we saw the side effects of it in earth 19999, but it may have side effects happening outside of it. Who knows how much damage both of them caused to the multiverse even if nobody remembers who was spiderman in the MCU. The side effects may be seen before the events of No Way Home because of time travel existing in Earth 19999. I also remember that in Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness that America Chavez mentioned that there is only one America Chavez in the whole multiverse.
I like the Gwen theory, also you should definitely watch Lord of the Rings. Probably my favourite trilogy of all time (Star Wars is close second), Beyond may change that though.

@@thatoneblackdude3333 Fair point, but Miguel’s canon event logic is very simple: If you have significant people in your life die, you can be Spider-Man. In this case, Peter died, and Gwen is accepting that her dad is just gonna die because the universe requires her too. Also keep in mind that Miguel didn’t even want her there in the first people. JESS did. Miguel probably did a miscalculation on the fact that Gwen is literally the person who dies for a canon event, or was hesitant to accept her because she’s technically supposed to die, and therefore could cause the disruption of the canon.
TL;DR Miles and Gwen are the same when it comes to disrupting canon.
Miguel is so alert about Miles, however, because his spider didn’t come from a different dimension. Gwen’s spider did. For all we know, it could’ve bit her “by mistake.”
