Maybe I'm reading too much in to this but Spielberg really looks like he's enjoying himself like a kid making his own home movie.
That’s literally how he started making movies on old 8mm film
I really like how he decided to cameo in SNL. Accomplished people have LOADS of EPIC fun!
That's how he learned to make movies in the first place. In his day, it was an 8mm camera, not like today, where you can use the camera on your cell phone (if it's good enough).

I love every laser cats video, but nothing will ever make me happier than Spielberg's version. From him coming in, excited as ever, saying "Laser Caaaaaaats", to him making his own laser sounds. This is purrfection😊

Spielberg has an SNL connection. He worked with John Belushi and Dan Aykrod on 1941 and then cameoed (Hitchcockian!) in Blues Brothers. There’s probably more I’m forgetting and Im curious how this came together. Lorne has got to know everybody in film, music and television.
I love how authority figures like Spielberg aren't afraid of making fun of themselves.

This was... actually not bad.
Honestly, I think this was my least favorite laser cats... what started out as an amazing hero story with Laser cats 1-4 turned into just another Hollywood cash grab with pointless fight scenes and major plot holes in LC 4-7... I guess all good things come to end. RIP the of original lasercat fan base.

How come Laser Cats 6 (The Musical) never got uploaded onto Saturday Night Live? The only copy of it on RUclips is on a channel called Zanesh Amin and it's only in 360p. Great series though :-)

**IF YOU CAN'T FIND LASER CATS 6**: hey, if you can't find it because you are outside of the USA you'll have to stream Season 36 Episode 18 (the Elton John episode) somewhere online. You won't be able to find the laser cat video alone anywhere otherwise!
